3 Eaten Twice

Arthur felt his body being bitten and some of his 'flesh' being separated, albeit blind he could still see his body in the darkness like an echo vision. It felt like Arthur could sense where any of his cells was. But only his cells and the things he touched, nothing more.

[Warning, a small creature is attacking host body, please initiate defensive measures.] (Eva)

Eva's warning came as soon as the first bite came, but Arthur could only feel the direction of the creature was biting him. Arthur could tell exactly where his 'flesh' was going, inside the monster mouth, and then another bite came. The pain was even greater then when he was human.

'Eva, teach me how to control this body, I'm full of being the passive one.' (Arthur)

[Acknowledged master.] (Eva)

'And Eva, call me Arthur from now on.' (Arthur)

[Yes, Arthur, initiating the transfer of body controls now.] (Eva)

A third bite came when they were talking; Arthur ignored it and waited for the knowledge of how to control his new body to be transferred into his brain. Even though he knew he was inside his creation, a new body such as this was completely different from his previously human body.

Eva's knowledge was then sent into Arthur's mind in split second. The fourth bite came, and by now, Arthur could finally control his new body. Even the knowledge of how to absorb creatures was transferred.

In an instant, Arthur learned how to control his new form, his new body. It was weird for him loose his limbs, but as Eva said before, his creation, which became his new body for some unknown reason, has the ability to evolve after consuming genes from other creatures. Even though it was his creation, Arthur didn't knew everything about it.

Letting his sunflower-like form fall apart onto the creature, Arthur enveloped it and retaliated by 'biting' the creature in one go, initiating the process of evolution. Subsequently taking the shape of the small animal after a few minutes after adapting to its new shape.

After Arthur's transformation was complete, his vision began to clear, and a few minutes later, he could finally see again, though the colors were limited, it was better than being blind.

Arthur was standing in two legs, that much he could tell. Feeling his body, Arthur knew he had acquired a tail, but his arms now were so small compared to his legs, which were twice as big as his new size.

'Eva, which creature is this?' (Arthur)

[This creature is similar in appearance to a Lesser Egyptian jerboa, though it contains unknown genes.

Unknown plant: similar to a sunflower in appearance, has a height of nine meters and the ability to change its colors.

Unknown animal: similar in appearance to a Lesser Egyptian jerboa, this creature possess a shell-like on its back similar to an Armadillo, though it seems to be harder than most creatures from earth with scales or shells.

Eva's answer confused Arthur; for he knew that, every creature on earth was catalogued, not even missing those who had already gone extinct.

Thinking about his situation, Arthur found it very unsettling to have discovered not one but two new species. As always, Arthur decided to let his faithful companion think with him, as the saying goes, 'two head are better than one', but in this case, the second head is a Nano-computer inside his own head.

'Eva, as we know every creature on Earth has already been recorded, even those already extinct. So I ask you, where the fuck are we?' (Arthur)

Eva was silent for a little before answering.

[Based on the information recorded in your memory Arthur, the more logical explanation is; we are in another world.] (Eva)

'Care to explain please?' (Arthur)

[Not at all. As you know Arthur, the core reactor of the facility you were working on was powerful enough not only to sustain the laboratory indefinitely, but also to tear the fabric of reality, in theory.

The energy shield was used to prevent the singularity from further expansion, sending anything inside the shield to here.] (Eva)

'You deduced everything from my memories?' (Arthur)

[That is correct Arthur.] (Eva)

Eva as always surprised Arthur, despite himself being smart, he wasn't a machine like Eva, with complete access to everything he had experienced.

'Another life, and this time in a different reality, so much to learn, so much to do.'

However, another thing also caught Arthur's attention.

'Eva, what is your version?' (Arthur)

No wonder Eva has the data of genes from earth's animals, something a Basic Civilian version wouldn't ever have. Arthur thought his A.I., which he always called Eva, was in the Basic Civilian version, not in his last update.

'Eva, since my body now can evolve, does it mean that it also can mix the genes acquired previously? If yes, can you mix it with the genes from earth animals stored in the database?' (Arthur)

[The hybrid cells can mix the genes to a certain extent, provided that the genes can be mixed before handed. No, there is only information stored about the genes of Earth's creatures, just data, but it is possible to make the acquired genes look similar to those from Earth with enough material.] (Eva)

So she can't combine but reshape, that will come in handy latter. If I can acquire more genes for my little creation, then can it perhaps be the Supreme Existence?

'Eva, if my cells can mutate with other creatures genes, can I mutate other creatures with my cells?' (Arthur)

'Even if it's my creation, I know nothing about its abilities and capabilities, sure I should've know about it but I don't, can't do anything now though.'

[It is possible, besides mutating them it is also possible to parasite other creatures, but controlling those creatures while they are alive will prove difficult if they have a powerful will. Another way to parasitize others, even with their stronger will, is to increase the processing power.] (Eva)

Eva was capable of not only controlling Arthur's body when in dire needs or when he ordered, she could also read his mind and his deepest thoughts, knowing him better than himself could ever do.

'I see.' Thinking a little after Eva's answer, Arthur thein said.

'Eva, open the console menu, I want to rewrite your program.' (Arthur)

A black window opened up, showing all of Eva's code lines. With his will, Arthur naturally controlled the menu and with his thoughts, he started rewriting Eva's program. With incredible skill and speed, Arthur finished rewriting his A.I. source code in less than a few minutes.

'With this, the law forbidding murder of the same species has been lifted as well as the forbidden researches. Using biological computers is the best method to process and store data, but they said it was inhuman to do so, well I also agree but not if they deserve it.'

[Arthur, it is illegal to delete laws from my source code. Not to mention that using brains for biological computers will depend on the quality of the individual and its intelligence while that person, or being, was alive.] (Eva)

'Eva, if we really are in another world, another reality, then the rules from my previous world doesn't apply anymore, well not here at least. Besides it's not your job to think about rules, just do as I say, okay?' (Arthur)

Satisfied, Arthur turned his attention back to his new body. With two long legs, an equal-sized tail, arms so small he couldn't even use them, a pair of a more or less big ears and a turtle shell-like thing on his back, he looked like a rabbit with really huge legs and a shell-thing on his back.

Trying to walk, it took Arthur a minute or so to be able to walk and run without falling, and a few more minutes to learn on how to control his new member, his tail. After half an hour, Arthur was far away from the place he woke up, walking and running in a random direction.

'Eva, how tall is this creature?' (Arthur)

[Roughly 23 centimeters tall. Width of 30 centimeters, mostly due the long tail, measuring 18 centimeters. The tail has the ability to expand half of its size and this creature could even use it as a pseudo hand.] (Eva)

Eva's reports came with more information as always, a trait of the 'Advanced Researcher' version she maintained after coming with Arthur.

Whilst running, Arthur heard the familiar sound of a snake hiss. Stopping, Arthur looked around, even with his vision allowing him to see only a part of what he could as a human. He still managed to find a big purplish snake, well big if compared to his new size, as the snake was exactly like a naja, roughly two meters long.

As Arthur was watching this snake in particular, another came from behind him, attacking him in a split second and entangling itself around him, pouring its poison inside his body.

The first snake Arthur was watching came closer to him and the two snakes split his body, eating half each one.

Arthur's new body wasn't though enough to prevent the snakes from splitting him apart, hence it was easy for them to split and eat him.
