The chosen one

The chosen one, this term was well known between otakus in my ancient world. There were many japanese manga and light novels that talks about this topic. As an otaku myself, I have read 2 stories with such a topic so I already know what does chosen one mean. And I know that in these stories themselves, this term was unknown by the most ordinary characters. It was a prohibited information by the empires or kingdom, only the royal families , those who are close to the royal families and the chosen ones themselves know it. This of course shows how important and at the same time dangerous this term was.

It was known that the power the chosen ones wield was in totally another realm from what ordinary adventurers could reach. Such a power could at least decide the future of an empire or a kingdom. Power can bring peace if its wielder had a good heart and tried to use it to help peoples, while it can also bring calamity upon empires if its wielder was evil. Power also can bring fortune for its wielder if he had a cunning mind and knew how to use it, while it can bring misfortune too for those who have weak personality which can cause them to be manipulated by different kind of peoples. That's why any information about the appearance of any chosen one is forbidden from leaking, and those who doesn't follow this rule were whether beheaded or imprisoned for the rest of their life.

Recalling this matter, I dived my mind into my soul depths and used <the library of the heaven's path> to compile a book about the chosen ones. I've copied all the town library books into my heavenly library so there's no way that i have no information about it. Since that surprisingly this town was the capital of cardiff empire. So that library is supposed to be the empire's library.

As i thought, a golden book appeared in the heavenly library <The chosen one's history>. 'The book title didn't contain tome 1 so probably it's a full book. It should contain all the information about the chosen ones.' Thinking that way i didn't hesitate any longer and opened the book and read it.

There wasn't any difference from the information I had before hand. At this moment, I looked at the young woman in front of me with a perplexed look as my lips twitched violently. I didn't know how I should react to her question. If I act as if i don't understand what she said, then I will have to come up with a convincing lie . But probably she will see through me again and find out about the lie. And if I say that I am not a chosen one then she will likely will find out that I am lying too, since I'm not a royalty nor I am close to them. I actually just arrived to this world and I know nothing about them. 'Wait a moment, how does she know about the chosen ones? Is she from royalty, someone close to them or was a chosen one herself?'.

After thinking carefully for a long time, I finally calmed myself and replied to her:" How did you know about me ? How do you know about the chosen ones?"

Yes, I had no choice but to admit it. When she asked about my identity earlier, it was as if she was sure that I am a chosen one. Lies then won't work on her anyway.

" I saw you for the first time in the forest." chuckling a little, she replied to me with a seductive voice. "I was in the forest when you suddenly appeared there and I saw everything that happened after that. Then I followed you from that time till now out of curiosity. I suspected you to be a chosen one when you used that strong magic attack to kill small fungies and finish that quest in a short time and confirmed it when i heard what you said at the library hehe."
