King Kai, Bubbles, Gregory and I were on the other empty side of the planet. King Kai was standing 10 meters away from me, and Bubbles and Gregory were looking toward me while peeking out from behind him.
"Okay, Lord Kai, I am going for it," I warned as I took the stance to power up.
"Yes, go for it, Arlic," King Kai replied as he braced himself for my power-up.
"KAIO-KEN, HAAAAAAAAA," I yelled as I started powering up.
A fiery crimson red aura appeared around me, and my body got covered with a red tint. The fiery aura around me looked like a strong flame burning violently.
"Hahahaha, YES, my technique works," King Kai laughed excitedly.
"I am going for the next level," I yelled as I got ready for another power-up.
"Arlic, wait…" King Kai yelled.
"KAIO-KEN TIMES 3, HAAAAAAA," I powered up.
With this power-up, the fiery aura around me got even more violent.
"Arlic, how is the burden? Are you able to withstand the pressure of Kaio-ken ×3?" King Kai asked as he examined me with his eyes.
"Yeah, I don't even feel a thing, I just have to keep the violent flow of Ki under control and I can keep it going as long as I want," I answered as I checked out myself.
"Hahaha, it worked, we did it, we successfully altered the technique for you," King Kai jumped excitedly.
"Hey, Lord Kai, how about we see my current limit for Kaio-ken?" I asked him seriously.
"Are you sure? This might get dangerous?" King Kai said with concern.
"It's okay, my regeneration can take care of any dangerous situation, and don't worry, I'll stop immediately as soon as I feel something is wrong," I answered seriously.
"Alright, but don't overdo it," King Kai said sternly.
I chuckled and nodded, then got ready to power up, "Haaaaaa, KAIO-KEN TIMES 5,"
As the multiplier increased, I felt my power rising, my senses got sharper, and my muscle mass bulked up a bit.
"Arlic, how is it?" King Kai inquired.
"It's okay, I don't feel much different other than just a tingly feeling in my body, and it's slowly decreasing as my body is getting used to this new pressure,"
"I see, maybe it's because you have done this for the first time, you need to practice more to master it," King Kai said as he wrote something in his notebook.
"Maybe," I nodded at his remark, "Alright, next level,"
"HAAAAAAAAAAA, KAIO-KEN TIMES 10," I yelled as my aura grew up to twice my size.
The sudden pressure from the ×10 Kaio-ken shook my body from the inside. And for the first time in this life, I felt a salty metallic taste in my mouth.
"ARLIC," King Kai yelled in worry as he saw a drop of blood leaking out from the corner of my mouth.
King Kai quickly launched greenish yellow lightning at me through his antennas.
As the lightning covered my body, I felt a wave of healing magic all over my body, healing me.
I cancelled the Kaio-ken and let out a breath.
"There was no need to do that, Lord Kai," I said with a sigh.
"Oh, yes, hehe, I just got caught up in the moment," King Kai replied with an embarrassed laugh.
"But what happened? Why did blood suddenly come out of your mouth?" King Kai asked seriously.
I sighed and answered, "Because of the sudden increase in pressure, my body got stirred up from the inside,"
"I see, so your current limit is below ×10," King Kai said while rubbing his chin.
"No, it's nothing like that," I countered, "It's just the lack of practice, Kaio-ken ×10 is bearable, it just makes my muscles a little uncomfortable,"

"Thanks," I thanked Gregory and patted Bubbles's head.
"Hehe, Arlic, how about you show us Spirit Bomb now?" King Kai asked with an elevated chin.

"Huh, What?! But why?" King Kai exclaimed in shock.

"This technique works the same as Spirit Bomb, the only difference is that the energy it gathers is solely taken from me, it takes both my magic and Ki to charge superfast," I explained with a grin.

"And because this technique uses my Spirit Bomb as a base, I can be considered its half creator," King Kai boasted with a haughty laugh.

"Okay, guys, be ready, the tournament is starting soon," I informed.
"Yes, I am excited to see who will win, a Master or his Student," King Kai said excitedly.
"Bubbles, let's bet, who's going to win," Gregory said to Bubbles.

It was the match between Goku and Giran, and Goku was at a disadvantage because he was stuck in Giran's Merry Go Round Gum, he was about to be eliminated when suddenly his tail grew out, and he turned the tables on Giran.
