ABC song.

Inside the classroom.

As usual, Jennifer first asked her students to stand up and pray together. After that, she checked their attendance and nodded in satisfaction seeing that all of her students are present.

Jennifer then picked up a chalk on her table as she stood up and faced the black board. With a few strokes, she began writing letters there from A to Z and turned back to her students when she's done.

" Okay class, before we start our lesson for today, let us first have a small review on what we did yesterday. Can anyone tell me what we had discussed here yesterday? Please raise your hand if you want to answer. "

Her students then began raising their hands waiting to be chosen.

Jennifer pointed at the boy sitting at the side of the classroom. " Okay you Kevin, stand up and tell us what we studied about yesterday. "

The boy named Kevin stood up. " We discussed about Alphabet and letter A, teacher Jennifer. "

" Very good, Kevin. You can take your seat now. " said Jennifer before looking at her other students. " Kevin is right. Yesterday, we discussed about Alphabet and also about the letters. I also asked you to write the letter 'Aa' yourself so I believe that all of you already knew about it. Is that right? "

Replied her students in unison.

" Very good. Today, we will continue to learn about the other letters of the Alphabet. Can you see these letters written on the board? These are all the letters of the alphabet. " Jennifer picked up a bamboo stick on the side and used it to point the first letter on the board before saying, " Repeat after me. This is the letter A(ey).

" ey. " repeated her students.

" Very good. Now this is letter B. Everyone say (bee). "

" Very good. " said teacher Jennifer as she once again pointed at letter C and said, " Now this is letter C. Everyone say (see). "

Jennifer then continue introducing the letters of the alphabet one after another to her students while also teaching them the right way to pronounce them at the same time. Her students seems to not have any problems repeating after her so the class flowed smoothly just like that.

Teacher Jennifer repeated this process 3 more times. " Very good everyone. Now I want you to bring out your papers and pencils and start copying the letters on the board. "

The students took out their pencils and papers from their bags before doing what their teacher Jennifer told them.

Leon also did the same and took out his paper and pencil from his bag. In less than a minute, he's done writing everything.

He then looked at Carla sitting beside him and saw that she was still busy copying the letters on the board. She's already done writing the big and small letter 'Aa' and was currently erasing the letter 'B' that she had written just now because it looks more like number '8' than letter 'B'.

Leon can't help but chuckle a bit after seeing that. " It's not like that, Carla. You must first write a straight vertical line like this first before adding the two curves. "

Carla did what he said and successfully written the letter 'B' which made her happy. " Thank you Leon. "

" You're welcome. Here. Do it like this. " replied Leon as he handed his paper to Carla.

She saw what's written on Leon's paper. It's completely similar to what their teacher Jennifer had written on the board.

" Yes. I won't lose to you Leon. You just wait." Carla then continue writing. Leon also guided her from time to time everytime she encountered some problems.

After another 30 minutes, teacher Jennifer stood up and said, " Okay class. It's break time. You can continue writing the letters later. Eat your food first. "

Break time was undoubtedly everyone's favorite subject, the class once again became lively. Her students put away their papers and started taking out their food. Today, all of her students brought their food with them so no one need to go outside with their parents.

" Good job, Carla. You're becoming better and better now. " said Leon while looking at the three pieces paper in front of him. It was all written by Carla.

" * giggles * Thank you Leon for helping me. " she replied happily. She was really grateful to Leon for helping her. He can make things easier for her.

" You're welcome. Here take this, Carla. " Leon shared his food to her. Carla also did the same as she shared her biscuits to Leon and the two of them began eating their food together.

" Oh, I almost forgot. I want to give you something, Carla. But you need to close your eyes first. "

Carla become confused and curious at the same time on what Leon wanted to give her but she still did what he said and closed her eyes.

Leon then secretly took out the white folder from his storage ring, he used his bag as a cover to make sure that no-one will notice what he's doing.

" Okay. You can open your eyes now. "

Carla opened her eyes and saw Leon smiling at her. In his hand was a white folder.

" Here take this, Carla. I hope you'll like it. " Leon handed the folder over to Carla.

" Thank you Leon. " Carla received the white folder. She then opened it and looked at what's inside.

" Wow! Leon. This.... This is me right? And you too! Wow! " Carla happily stares at her her image inside the folder.

Bright smile blossomed on her adorable face, her small fingers pointed at the drawing. " * giggles * This is the cupcake you gave me yesterday, wasn't it? This is also the cookies I ate yesterday. Wow! This is very amazing! "

" Do you like it, Carla? " asked Leon, satisfied to see her exited expression.

" Yes. I like it very much, Leon. Thank you. " Carla replied excitedly before giving Leon a hug.

" I'm glad you like it, Carla. There's still one more drawing inside aside from that. "

" Really? Where? ...Oh.. This... this is mommy! Wow. Mommy is so beautiful here. "

" Okay class, break time is over. Please put away your all of your things. "

Time really flee fast during happy times, the break time was over just like that and their teacher once again returned. The students clearly haven't had enough of their breaks yet but still cleaned their table and kept their food away.

" Put it away for now, Carla. "

" Okay. Thank you again, Leon. I'm sure mommy will also like it. " said Carla as she put the folder under her table.

" To make it easier for you to remember all of the letters on the board, I brought a radio with me here and a tape so please be quite and listen to the song. Is that okay, everyone? " Jennifer put the radio she brought with her on the table.

" Very good. Listen carefully. " Jennifer then put the tape inside the radio 📻 and turned it on.

A female voice came from the radio as it started playing the ABC song.

Her students attentively listened to the song as it played. Some of the students have already heard this song before. Some even have copy of it in their home so they are quite familiar with it.

After the song ended, teacher Jennifer played it three more times before finally turning the radio off. She then once again looked at her students and said, " You already heard the song, now it's time for you to sing it now. Can you do that? "

Jennifer asked them to stand up and they began singing the song together.

Leon can't help but agree to this method of teaching letters, this method did made it easier for the students to memorized the letters.

This song really lived on the saying, 'Old but Gold'. He believed that as long as there are kindergarten students, this song will be there forever.

They have been singing this ABC song for around 30 minutes now, most of the students have already memorized it. This method is really effective in teaching kids.

Some studies had proven that singing reinforces a child's synapses making the signals between receptors stronger so it helps the child with memory recall. 

Singing also aids in the learning process of young children because the act brings joy to the child which puts them into a positive mood and more receptive to learning.

The class then continued like that for another hour before it finally ended.

Parents started to come and picked up their children one after another.

" Bye Leon. See you tomorrow. " said Carla as she wave her hands to Leon.

Leon waved back at her, watching Carla left with her grandmother.

" Okay. See you tomorrow. "

After a few minutes, Leon's mother also arrived and the two of them went home together.
