While later

Exactly five years after the events that took place that night, one which was hardly known by anyone, one which was completely covered up by those that were involved and had power, a new face appeared.

One who was kicked on his butt to the ground, by life, more times than he could possibly count, but despite that, he managed to get back up, countless of times, a young man, whose journey was connected to all that happened and was going to happen and it was only just about to begin.

One day, a young man, who was sweating profusely while walking under the hot sun, with both of his hands wrapped in bandages as well as both of his feet, bumped into someone and was about to fall but, balanced his body on one foot and a few people laughed at him.

"Hey, hey, Zion, you never listen to anyone, do you? You have to learn to be more careful, we cannot manage to cause trouble with anyone, you seem like one who could be attracted to it, you draw them towards you," A young man said as he approached him then collected a basket off of his head and the young man exhaled deeply before stretching off.

"Ah, yeah, I know, don't worry, I won't cause any problem and I don't attract them, it has just been a little different lately, whatever," He replied as he shook his hair and then sighed before opening his eyes and a grin appeared on his face.

The young man, whose name was Zion, was tall, muscular, slim and had fair skin which seemed slightly battered at the time, piercing blue mixed with a different color lining eyes and a slim face with slightly long hair.

"It's fine, we have to get back to work or we will get our butts kicked and it will be all your fault, I have no intention of getting fired either, let's head back before it gets too late," The young man beside him said and Zion chuckled.

"Relax, we won't get fired Rivar, they can't do that with how things are recently, it's busier than usual and we have to try out for the hunter thingy today as well," He replied and Rivar, who was just a few inches shorter than Zion and had short brown hair with black eyes and fair skin sighed.

"So you say, let's go, we don't have the freedom to do as we please around here, not anymore, either, we are just peasants after all," Rivar said and just then, Zion's brows furrowed and Rivar peeked at him.

'He is thinking about something,' Rivar thought.

"If we are late and so on, our pay for the entire week will get cut, I am poor, I cannot afford that..." He said as he rushed off and Rivar tilted his head as he looked at him.

"My, my, how did I get stuck with someone like him? Will I be doomed if I walk the same path as he? I pray to the divine, change the way the thinks, I have a feeling that someday, we will end up in a dangerous situation....' He thought then realized that the young man was getting further from him and his brows furrowed.

He looked at the distance between Zion and himself then at the basket in his hand and he flinched.

" I see, he left... Hey, wait!" He shouted as he rushed after him.

After a few minutes of running, Rivar exhaled deeply and looked up as he panted then saw Zion standing before him calmly and Rivar approached him and grabbed onto his shoulder.

"You made it, Rivar."

Rivar smiled at Zion then placed the baskets in his hand all at once and Zion's eyes widened as he blinked, since the baskets were heavy and he looked at Rivar who smiled at him.

"I am not going to show pity, follow me, we just need to deliver the goods to the merchants, I am tired of switching bloody jobs," Rivar said as he walked into a guild and Zion scoffed then followed him in.

Out of concern, Rivar looked back at him, wondering if he was okay but was a little surprised when he saw how Zion was not showing any sort of struggle and he blinked then turned around.

After Zion and Rivar made their way to the one whom they had to make the delivery to within the merchants guild, they waited for a bit in the lobby and after a few minutes, one of the staff, working for the one that hired them, approached them and both of them looked at him.

"Are you guys the one that's here to make the delivery?" The young man, who seemed no more than sixteen asked as he smiled at them.

"Yeah, we are ones," Rivar responded and the young man sighed in a bit of relief.

"Good, I am glad you guys are on time, please follow me, we will take a look at the goods and then pay you your fair share," He said as he walked away and both of them followed him, into a different part of the guild.

"This place is very big," Rivar said.

"That's because it's the only merchants guild within this city and the largest, it is also one of the most popular, famous for the products provided by the ones here, people even gain jobs because of this, reducing the rate of jobless people," Zion replied and Rivar chuckled then Zion glanced at him.

"What?" Zion asked and Rivar sighed.

"The way you speak, you can almost sound like the leader of something good, you think similarly as well," Rivar responded.

After hearing that, Zion sighed then clenched his right fist as they arrived at a room.

The young man knocked on the door then was given permission to enter and they all went into the room, which was one of the many offices within the merchant's guild.

"Hello, sir, I brought the ones who had to make the delivery," The young man said as he looked at the one by the desk.

A guy got up from a chair behind the desk and they looked at him as he stepped into the light then opened his eyes and smiled a little.

The guy wore small glasses, was tall, looked as though he was nearing his thirties, slender, fair and had short brown hair.

"Please place it down, I will have a look then you will both be paid..." He said as he stared at all of the things in Zion's hand and his brows furrowed then Rivar flinched.

"Ah, sorry." He began taking the things out of Zion's arm and placed them on the table before them and the guy fixed his glasses then Zion glanced at Rivar, who sighed.

"You are quite strong, aren't you?" The guy asked and Zion glanced at him.

"I won't say that I am, I am only able to do these sorts of things because of the type of jobs we have been receiving lately, but thank you," He responded and the guy scoffed.

"There is no need to thank me," He said as he began checking through the bags, along with the young man who was working for him.
