Heart's Desire - 5

Why did she send me that?

Of course it made me happy, but it was just so sudden!

I opened it once more just to see if what she sent was real.

It was an image of her without underwear, and only wore a shirt. That very shirt was lifted up to her neck and her hand covered less than half of her breasts that were larger than her hand, which made me barely saw what color was underneath.

From the angle and way she posed, she probably used her other hand to take this picture.

There was only one flaw here though. I couldn't see above her nose, which meant her eyes weren't on the pic.

I could see the circular logo of their school on the corner of her folded shirt, and it wasn't clear enough for me to see which school she went to. There was also a glimpse of how the keyboard looked like.

Me [I...]

Me [saw the email you sent..]

Me [was it really you?]

LittleHunter [yes..]

LittleHunter [don't you like it?]

Me [I do want it but]

Me [why?]

Each of our messages appeared with delay as I kept thinking about why she would send her almost nude picture.

"Of course I wouldn't be a guy if I said I don't like it... but aren't things progressing a little bit too fast!?"

Me [I was just]

Me [so surprised]

LittleHunter [it's my way]

Me [and didn't expect that]

LittleHunter [saying farewell.....]

Me [but why?]

Me [at least tell me why]

Me [please]

Message failed to send.

This isn't enough of a reason.

She could at least tell me why she wanted for us to break up.

My heartbeat was starting to go faster, and my hands are shaking like there's no end.

I could only crouch on my throne once more as time passed.

It isn't even 3 PM yet, the day is still long. There's so much for me to do.

But because of her, all of my previous plans and supposed actions have halted.

Instead of grinding on a long day, I...

No amount of distraction can fill my heart that was currently imploding in pain as I clutch my clothes near the chest.

No thoughts are entering in my mind.

Only sadness filled my heart.

Aiden was right; A breakup hurts more than being rejected, and it wasn't even comparable to what I've felt in my previous years of life.

I felt like ending my life now, but just for a girl?

Really, just for a girl, I've lost my mind and heart?

Where did my usual complacency and eagerness to live the day go?

Once more my eyes were getting blurry as I kept staring at my monitor screen. I tilted my head upwards to keep my tears from falling off and glanced at the ceiling to distract myself.

"Hahah. Why's there a web there?"

After about thirty seconds I managed to keep my emotions on check, so I returned my sights on the monitor screen.

"I should play instead of depressing myself."

I relogged my character to remove any remaining chat logs, so that I wouldn't see our messages. After that I immediately teleported to the Mystery Dungeon which spawns random monsters.

A lot of people were in the starting area since this place was frequently visited by many players.

The main reason they were here was because a boss monster that dropped an important loot once appeared here, and since then many people went here instead of bypassing the more harder maps which required guilds to safely traverse through.

Locati [heeeeey]

Locati [CountEz!!]

Locati [over here]

My in-game friend Locati was sending me PMs but I ignored him at the moment. I'll just give him a message later.

There was a part of Mystery Dungeon that I usually grind on, and it was the place where the least mobs appear. This part of the map was also near the edge of the border where one can't go further because of the game boundary, which makes it a one-way road that leads to a dead end.

At least here no one would be able to disturb my peace.

I checked my inventory if I had enough teleport items and necessary potions if a boss DID somehow spawn at this place, and I could also just run away quickly since there's only one way going back which would give my Grand Knight the necessary headstart by using a lot of dashing skills.

"With this I can just chill and kill everything on sight."

I opened my equipment window and checked my armors and weapons, which was complete.

But the moment I saw that one accessory on the left hand, my chest felt heavy and constricted, and tears instantly poured out from my eyes. It reminded me of what happened only minutes ago.

On my left hand accessory, a Wedding Ring was still attached.

"Really?"

I thought I already distracted myself, but it seems that my emotions which were kept bottled in since earlier exploded only now as if the lid of a pressure cooker was flung open.

At the sime time, an alert sounded from my chat window which was highlighted in red, which made everything all the more dramatic.

---

Mastia's three-handled trident was used as a catalyst, and is called upon the world.

The lightning shifts to create a crack within the dimension, and fused with space to open the gates from its nest.

---

The background music slowly faded out and transitioned into a new one as it started to move towards me for an attack.

The boss Mastia appeared, and it was one of the heavy attackers from all of the bosses in the game. It had four legs of a horse and a torso of a human's that contained upper arms. It had an overall black and blue armor that was shrouded in white mist. On its upper arms, it held a three-handled spear made in a Y-shape.

Its head had a helmet where only the blue glows of its eyes could be seen.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"

I spammed every skill that I had and tanked every attack the boss made, which suited my class because there was news that a GK could solo Mastia provided with enough DPS and HP.

"Since you've come, I might as well vent out all of my frustrations on you."
