"Are you even hearing what you are saying?" Hector sighed.

"Oh? So now you trust the new guy more than me!" Jonas sneered.

The atmosphere grew tense. Sarah and Elara exchanged glances while Garet just watched quietly.

"I really don't understand what your problem is with Ethan. He joined the guild only today and all he has done is go on some dungeon runs with us? Why are you behaving like this?" Hector questioned, clearly frustrated.

"The issue is this was my team! We've been through everything together! And now, I'm being pushed aside like I'm nothing!"

"Jonas," Hector sighed, "Nobody is pushing you aside!"

Seeing that no one was still coming to his rescue, Jonas shook his head. "I think I'm going to sit the next one out," he said, forcing a smile that felt like a grimace.
