Kaden's heart raced. His back pressed against the cold, ornate wall as he tried to fathom the situation. He didn't have the power to fight multiple opponents at once, especially when his ability was on cooldown.

He immediately took out the Starshard Blaster once again and without hesitation pressed it, with the red gemstone aligned for activation.

BOOM!

The gemstone was propelled forward, glowing eerily and the moment it was out of the gun, it detonated with a force that rocked the chamber. 

The immediate vicinity was consumed in a ball of blazing energy. The blast hurled the scorpion-like creatures backward, their iridescent carapaces offering little protection against the explosion's sheer power. 

Shards of stone and dust were blown in every direction, forming a thick veil that obscured all vision.
