29 That bastard is dead today!

Sitting atop a tall tree's branch, Kaden's brow furrowed as he surveyed the empty city gates. "Hmmm… What is this? It's already been an hour but no one is stepping out of the city?" He rubbed his chin, thinking about this weird anomaly. "Did they figure it out?"

That was probably what happened because he had killed quite a few of the players and moreover the number of players in the city at the moment wasn't that many.

Kaden did not specifically remember anyone but there was a chance that he had gotten the same group twice in a row.

Even if he did not, just a few groups gossiping amidst themselves in the city graveyard would be enough to find out everything.

"Did they all just log out for a break?"

"Nah." Kaden shook his head. That was not possible. These players were all hardcore gamers or ardent game enthusiasts who logged in on the first two days of the game's launch despite it being the holidays. How could they be forced to take a break so easily?

As if answering his doubts, the next second, Kaden finally saw a few players. Wait. Not a few. There were about twenty players who headed out of the city together.

Not just that but right behind them, there was another group of about fifteen to twenty players.

It did not end there. These two groups were followed by another group of players and then yet another group of players.

If he was correct, then there were about a hundred players in total, all of them loitering in the same area!

"That bastard is dead today!"

"He needs to pay! Search everywhere. Don't let him leave!"

"Does he really think that he can get with this shit?"

"Did you hear that? I thought I saw something move over there."

Kaden listened to the commotion, caught between amusement and awe. He did not know whether to laugh or cry at the hundred players searching for him as if he were a field boss.

"Looks like I've made quite the impression," he mused, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. "They've rallied together to put an end to my reign of terror."

He observed the gang as they split into smaller groups of five and started searching for him seriously, turning over every rock and disturbing every bush and bramble.

It looked like they were determined not to let him escape.

However, Kaden had no such plans of leaving.

This was because there were so many quests in the game that required PVP kills and these hundred people have literally handed themselves over to him on a silver platter!

How would he let go of such an amazing chance? Only a fool would do that! That too when he was at least 7 or 8 levels above most of these players?!

Ke Ke. This was going to be a lot of fun. Kaden let out a mocking villainous laughter as he licked his lips and started making his plans.

In his last life, he had heard about amazing experts and top players who had single-handedly slain an army of rival players.

His skill level was nowhere close to theirs but to think that a nobody like him was also going to do something like that was giving him goosebumps.

Kaden grinned wickedly. Confirming his plan of action, he reached into the big sack of goodies on his back. These were the items he had snatched from the dead corpses all this while.

If someone else saw this bag they would be shocked. It was bulging like a pot belly. Kaden had about forty kills so far and each one had generously given him two or more drops, even more lucrative than farming big mobs.

From this pile, he took out a crossbow and several arrows. While he was not extremely adept at using any particular weapon, he was good enough to know the basics of several of them.

So he easily handled the crossbow and nocked an arrow onto it. But he did not release it just yet. His hungry eyes scanned the group, looking for the weakest link.

Soon a group of five players crossed him, one of them shouting loudly. "He forced us to waste our time on the second day of the game! Fucking little bitch! I am going to personally camp and ruin that ass turd!"

"Oh come on, isn't this a bit too much? I just needed a few kills!" Kaden chuckled lightly hearing the compliment. His gaze dragged on the person who had given him such high praise.

He was wearing a dire wolf cloak and a dire wolf belt. Otherwise, there was nothing except for the starting welcome package's trash-grade pants and shirt.

There! Kaden had found his weak link!
