Plans

In regards to the last chapter's title book correlation, Lucifer Morningstar was the first and I think only person to guess the correct book.

Ngl I didn't expect anyone to know what I was talking about but I'm pleasantly surprised, Good Job Lucifer.

------------------------

James's stomach growled like an injured beast churning and roaring lulling him out of the deep almost coma-like sleep. James groaned as he opened his eyes, the light of the midday sun beaming into the open blinds of his bedroom. James crawled out of bed making his way over to the window and pulling it closed with one swift tug.

'I swear my head feels like it's been through a blender

James rubbed his aching head as he adapted to the influx of new knowledge that now filled his mind, knowledge of his spider abilities resting comfortably in his mind. He opened his bedroom door and walked out into the living area almost tripping over his white running shoes that had been carelessly abandoned the night before.

He walked into the kitchen area, grabbed some coffee grinds, and poured into the old coffee machine on the counter. He pressed a button as the machine came to life slowly dropping hot water into the coffee grinds.

James took a seat on his couch as he waited for the coffee to brew. He looked around the slightly barren apartment and realized that he barely had anything in the apartment. Nevertheless, he had many more important things to worry about, now that he had all of his abilities he needed to make plans to properly survive the Marvel universe. James knew that he had to make a few moves in the coming months to make sure that he can survive and thrive in the marvel universe.

James' first issue that he needs to resolve was his intelligence, by no means was he unintelligent it was more fitting to say that the intelligence level in Marvel was so high that peter parker a broke 16-year-old was able to make a sophisticated piece of machinery that allowed his to fire webs that could hold up his body weight and allow him to semi effortlessly swing through the new york skyline. Compared to James' slightly above-average intelligence that would be a frog trying to eat swan meat while not knowing the greatness of Mt Tai.

James had very few leads on how he could artificially increase his intelligence but most if not all of these leads were going to require the help of a few unsavory characters. The next thing that James needed to plan about was uncle ben and whether or not he should try and save him. James' face adopted a conflicted look as he debated with himself whether or not he should try and save Uncle Ben.

On one hand, Uncle be being alive could make him and Peter extremely close at the cost of James being able to steer Peter into a more morally ambiguous route because uncle ben is a Paragon of truth and justice while James was a Paragon of having fun and living long enough to hedonistically enjoy his new life in the Marvel universe and frankly their interests at one point or another would clash and possibly lead to a rift between Peter and James.

On the other hand, if he allows Ben to die he can more easily the grieving Peter to see things from his perspective and lead him down an ambiguous path the problem with this is that Peter seriously took to heart what Uncle Ben said before he died about responsibility. James looked at the two possibilities and both of them weren't particularly attractive for one reason or the other because if he does one then the perks of the other are lost. James thought through the benefits and detriments of each plan and finally decided on what he was going to do after careful deliberation.

As finalized his plans for Uncle Ben, the coffee machine in the kitchen beeped signifying that it was done. James stood up from the couch letting out a small groan as get made his way into the kitchen. He opened the fridge and grabbed the small bottle of French vanilla creamer and milk. He poured his coffee and filled it with creamer and milk and brought the piping hot cup of coffee back into the living room. He returned to his place on the couch and slowly sipped his coffee thinking about the most crucial of all his plans.

The events of the day prior were a master class of what not to do. Three students were all bitten by a lab test subject and almost immediately displayed symptoms of extreme fatigue and loss of consciousness and yet non of the higher-ups at the Lab pushed back against his teacher's decision to just end the trip early. The lack of foresight and the lack of action could have led to the deaths of those affected and yet Ozcorp made no major action to monitor the condition of the bitten students to make sure that they weren't irreparably irradiated or something much worse.

However, this negligence was exactly what James was looking for because it allows him to get a large sum of hush money from Ozcorp and Norman to keep their reputation pristine and spotless. The money from this will allow James more financial freedom to pursue other things.

James finished his coffee content with what he had planned and was excited to make his mark on the Marvel universe.

I know that this chapter was slightly shorter but I really wanted to delve into James' mindset. He's cautiously optimistic about the world he's found himself and He is aware that he isn't some unflinching immortal main character that won't die so he has to do everything to enjoy the opportunity that he has been given.

Another thing, should Jame's superhero name be something tied heavily to his spider powers or should he have a name that's freer.
