1 Raymond's Parents Assassination

Felicia sits on Gale's lap as she rests her head against Gale's.

"I don't know where to start, but I think the nobles who hate our existence in the royal palace are starting to make their move," Gale said in a low voice to Felicia.

Felicia raises her left hand and then she places it on Gale's shoulder while her right-hand goes to her left which is on Gale's shoulder.

"I also feel the same way, I used my magic on the nobles in the royal palace but they always make strange movements as if they want to outwit me," Felicia replied to Gale's words.

Gale turned his face to Felicia then he kissed her on the lips, and then he said, "I don't know what will happen but I will swear to always protect you and Raymond."

Felicia hugged Gale tightly and then she said, "Thank you honey." as she kissed Gale's cheek.

While Gale and Felicia are making out, a group of several high-ranking assassins hired by the royal nobles have surrounded their house.

"Hey, how are we going to kill the royal knight captain?" One of the high-ranking assassins whispered to another assassin.

"Don't worry, we have a lot of high-level magic tools here, all of them must be effective because we can even find out the whereabouts of their house." Another assassin replied while showing a bag full of high-level magic tools.

"Well, you're right too, those nobles paid us five times the usual price and they even gave us these high-level magic tools."

"You guys shut up, we will now attack together immediately when they lowered their guard." The leader of the high-ranking assassin group said.

"They have probably finished their dinner since I could just hear the sound of the cutlery being cleared, let's attack now." The leader of the high-ranking assassin group continued.

The assassins nodded and then the leader of the high-ranking assassin group took out a small bugle from his pocket.

The leader of the high-ranking assassin group blew the small bugle and the small bugle emitted a sound with a very low frequency that only the high-ranking assassin group could hear.

Even though the sound of the small bugle was low in frequency, Gale could easily hear the sound and he was instantly in standby mode.

"Honey, I think the nobles have made their move now," Gale said as he held Felicia's hand.

"Alright, future vision," Felicia said as she looked at Gale.

When Felicia looked at Gale, Felicia's eyes lit up and she can see some visions of Gale's future.

Felicia's magic power wasn't actually able to predict what would happen in the future, but she could see the future itself.

The future vision of Gale that Felicia got was of Gale fighting a group of high-ranked assassins who carried tons of high-level magic tools.

In that future vision, Felicia could see if Gale lost to the group of high-ranking assassins and was killed along with herself, Raymond and Mariana.

Acquired that vision of the future, Felicia's face turned pale as her body began to tremble.

"Honey? What's wrong with you? Your face is pale..." Gale said as he held Felicia's cheek.

Felicia looks at Gale with tears in her eyes, and then she said, "Honey, let's run together with Raymond and Mariana from this house, we won't be able to win against a group of high-ranking assassins who carry tons of high-ranking magic tools."

Hearing what Felicia said, Gale picks up Felicia and lowers her from his lap.

"Come back to your hometown with Raymond and Mariana, I'll hold them back so they won't be able to catch up with you," Gale said to Felicia as he stood up.

"But..."

Without listening to what Felicia has to say, Gale picks up his full armor along with his sword which is in the corner of the dining room.

Gale puts on his full armor and then he said, "Hurry up and go from the secret passage along with Raymond and Mariana.

In the middle of their conversation, Raymond appeared with Mariana with smiles on their faces after they finished washing the cutlery in the bathroom.

"Father? Mother? What happened? Did you guys fight for the first time?" Raymond said innocently.

Gale walks briskly toward Raymond and then he crouched down in front of Raymond while holding his head.

"Ray, listen to me, maybe I will be gone for a very long time, therefore you go with your mother back to her hometown with Aunt Mariana," Gale said to Raymond.

"Huh? Is Father going away for a long time? Where? Is there a war with another country?" Raymond replied to Gale's words.

Gale smiled and then he said, "Whatever happens, remember this father's words."

"If you're a man... get stronger for someone else. Be stronger than anyone so you can protect those who are important to you by yourself. Clench your teeth, and protect them to the end with all your heart. It's okay to fall down... you just have to stand up again. If you can do that alone. You'll be a hero." Gale continued at length.

"Can I be a hero like a hero in the book I've read?" Raymond replied with a light of hope in his eyes.

"Yes, dear," Gale replied as he stroked Raymond's hair.

Gale stands up and then he walks over to Felicia, and then he said, "Stand up honey." As he reached out his hand to Felicia with a smile on his face.

Felicia grabbed Gale's hand while holding back her tears as she stood up.

"Go," Gale said.

As soon as Gale said that, the assassins had managed to break through their house from every window and it made a noise that made Gale immediately signal to Felicia to run away with Raymond and Mariana through a secret passage under the dining table.

Without saying a word, Felicia went under the dining table while signaling her hand to Raymond and Mariana to follow her.

Felicia opened the wooden plank underneath and there was a square wooden door and one ladder straight down.

Felicia opened the wooden door and she let Raymond and Mariana go first, but then Mariana said, "How can I go first before you, Your Highness?"

Without answering Mariana's question, Felicia took out the necklace she was wearing and gave it to Raymond, and then she said, "Ray, take this necklace with you and don't lose it."

Hearing what Felicia said, Raymond just nodded and then he entered the secret passage first.

"Your Highness, what do you mean by taking off your necklace? Do you..."

Before Mariana could finish her words, Felicia covered Mariana's lips with her index finger, and then she just smiled while shedding a few tears.

Mariana who knew that Felicia intended to die with Gale couldn't help but shed tears.

Felicia wiped Mariana's tears and then she said, "Tell my father that he should be wary of the nobles that are in Feresia kingdom."

Mariana tried to smile but her lips couldn't do it and she made her face smile manually using her two index fingers.

"Goodbye Your Highness, it is a pleasure to serve you," Mariana said as she entered the secret passage.

Inside the secret passage, there is only one straight passage which is pitch black, but Felicia's necklace that Raymond is carrying can emit a red light that gives light to the passage.

As soon as Mariana descended the ladder, Felicia immediately closed the wooden door to the secret passage.

What Felicia did made Raymond confused and looked at Mariana.

Without saying a word, Mariana immediately took Raymond's hand and immediately ran with Raymond through the secret passage.

"Aunt Mariana, where is my mother?" Raymond asked as he tried to keep up with Mariana's fast footsteps.

"Your mother decided to go with your father, young master, I will tell you the details later," Mariana replied to Raymond's question as she stopped and then carried Raymond.

While Raymond and Mariana go through the secret passage, Gale looks overwhelmed by a group of high-ranking assassins who carry tons of high-level magic equipment.

Gale's face is covered in sweat and blood, while his full armor and sword look like they'll break soon.

"Sigh... those corrupt nobles bastard, where they hired this group of high-ranking assassins, they even give these assassins tons of high-level magic tools." Gale thought as he strengthened his stance.

Just as Gale was thinking like that, he heard a soft knocking sound from under the dining table which he knew very well that it was a morse code that he used to use with his wife when they practiced before Gale went to war against another country.

"Damn, it turns out this is your choice, honey. But don't worry, I will definitely protect you." Gale thought as he stomped on the floor several times as a reply to Felicia's morse code.

Felicia just smiled under the dining table as she closed her eyes and started using her magic to see the movements of the assassins and told Gale through morse code.

The battle between Gale and the assassins was fierce, but it didn't last long because the leader of the group of high-ranking assassins suddenly ordered all the assassins attacking Gale and Felicia's house to retreat using the small bugle.

Gale and Felicia feel relieved, but as soon as they feel relieved, Gale and Felicia's house explodes along with them due to the explosive magic tool used by the leader of the group of high-ranking assassins.
