Wen Jiang and Cheng Juan's facial expressions paled as they stared at Yun Meiyi. Since Li Teng was staring at her, it was clear that he was waiting to hear the matter from her. In a scenario like that, even if they wanted to, they knew that they would not be able to speak anything.

Liu Si Si didn't say anything. As Yun Meiyi had asked earlier, she has given all her voice to her. Now, it was up to Meiyi how she presents things.

Yun Meiyi stared at Cheng Juan and Wen Jiang, and their silence like that quite amused her. Seems like even without visiting the company much, unlike her, Li Teng held a power here that could easily warn people to keep their attitude in check. At least in this one thing, the man didn't disappoint her.

Otherwise, after hearing how things had become here, she thought other than having a feeling of dismay, she would have no other emotions.

Her eyes then darted to look at Li Teng, who was patiently waiting to hear her. Staring at him for a moment, she spoke, "President Li, I have come here on the orders of the boss. Given the complaint Si Si has made, I have been asked to look after her in the company. So, I am reporting here as her new manager."

As she said, her words made everyone dumbfounded. The most confused one was no other but Liu Si Si. She didn't even know what was happening. She turned to look at Yun Meiyi with wide eyes.

"Yi Yi, this …" Before she could ask anything, her words were interrupted by Cheng Juan at the front. She looked offended.

"What do you say? You are her new manager? Are you challenging me?"

Yun Meiyi's lips curled up coldly as she stared at Cheng Juan. "Manager Cheng, although I have just started in Feathering Heights, I have read well about the company to know that the environment here supports healthy competition. Challenging you particularly would be too violent. I won't do that. But if you still think I am challenging you, you can think like that. After all, I can't do anything with your thoughts."

She said and her words like that further enraged the manager. But she found nothing to retort to. The presence of Li Teng made it impossible for her to come out with her worst.

"How can you be her manager? Cheng Juan has been managing her all this while. We have yet to discuss the matter. Moreover, we haven't received any such orders." Wen Jiang also felt like losing himself. He has given his word to Wang Ping Ruo. If he fails to keep his word, with what face would he be able to look at Wang Ping Ruo?

But to all his words, Yun Meiyi remained unfazed. Keeping the cold glint all evident in her gaze, she stared at the man before gesturing her towards the fax machine from which a ding of receiving was heard. "The official orders are being faxed over. You can read it with your eyes now. Or, later you can even check your emails, I am sure Secretary Huang must have sent you the copies there as well."

She said and her words stunned the Vice President. "Secretary Huang? Do you know her?"

Yun Meiyi's smile deepened. Instead of replying to the man straightforwardly, she asked, "Isn't Ms. Huang the secretary to the Boss? If not her, who should I know?"

"That's enough." Li Teng could no longer take the banters of the two silly people beside him. Their voice was doing nothing but causing the irritation that was making it impossible for him to take. "Did you two forget I am still sitting here?"

"President Li, that …"

"Enough! Keep quiet now. Speak when you are asked to. Do you get it?" He asked, and Cheng Juan and Wen Jiang had nothing else but to agree to him. Then looking up at Yun Meiyi, he continued, "You say you are here to manage Liu Si Si?"

Yun Meiyi looked at him and nodded. To which, the man nodded to agree, "Fine then I will ask the staff to process the transfer." He said as he turned to look at Cheng Juan who was all bewildered at how things went by easily. She never knew smoothness like this was even possible until now.

"But President Li, that …"

"Do I have to repeat myself for you?" Li Teng's cold voice almost shrieked Cheng Juan to silence.

Rendered silent, she shook her head to deny, before pushing the chair back to stand up to say, "Then I will go to make arrangements." She said and was about to leave when suddenly Yun Meiyi asked her to stop.

Her expression turned ugly as she turned to look back at her and growled with a tone full of displeasure, "What is it now?"

Yun Meiyi remained all sober at her agitation. Maintaining her calm, she simply shook to say, "Nothing special, Manager Cheng. I just want to clear a few things once and for all since everyone including President Li and Vice President is here. After all, after signing Liu Si Si under me, I won't want to have a fuss with you."

"What do you mean?" Furrowing her brows, Cheng Juan asked, getting all confused.

"I want to clear this out in front of higher-ups of the company that from today on, my artist is not liable to fulfill the commitments made by some other artist of the company." She said and at her words like that, Cheng Juan almost felt her soul leave her body.

Her body froze in that instant as her eyes instinctively turned to look at Li Teng, whose expression no longer looked favorable.

Looking at Yun Meiyi with some confusion, Li Teng turned to look at Cheng Juan with furrowed brows as he growled in a deep voice, "Explain, what's she talking about?"

Cheng Juan didn't know what to answer. For a moment, she wished that she was not asked that question? But to her astonishment all this while, the man has only turned to question them while he has believed all the words he has received from Yun Meiyi. Not even for once, he has turned to reconfirm her words.

Was this some kind of coincidence? Or something that they all are simply unaware of?
