21 Punishment.

Yun Jiaqi was puzzled, while Lin Su Yi just smirked, asking the maid to leave. Once she was gone, she turned to look back at her daughter and said, "Did you see that? Didn't I say that sooner or later, she would be returning back?"

"But Ma, yesterday, something else happened. You wouldn't believe it, please hear me first." Yun Jiaqi tried to say something but Lin Su Yi didn't heed her words. At the moment, she had her own plans.

Yun Meiyi has finally stepped home after staying out for the whole night, there could be no way she would miss this opportunity of letting her know her place.

But before he could comprehend more than that, he was interrupted by her words. "Butler Qin, did you see it wrongly? I am Yun Meiyi, not Yun Jiaqi. Leaving on my own wouldn't be tough for me". She said and the butler didn't feel she was wrong.

From the very beginning up until now, the girl has managed it all on her own. Be it her studies or any stuff at home. Sometimes she even went alone to prepare her meals. With her such a humble and modest attitude, he would not have to worry about her. But still being an elder figure who has seen her grow, he still couldn't be at ease, seeing her walk out of the house. And above all, the old master has strictly ordered him to look after her. In his absence, how could he let her go and live on her own?

Before he could say anything more to coax the girl to change her decision, from a distance, a voice interjected. "You are in the mood to put airs now, Meiyi?"

Yun Meiyi turned to look and she was not surprised to find Lin Su Yi there, descending down the stairs, as usual with her pretentious high socialite aura.

When the butler saw her, he bowed his head before putting a word to defend Meiyi, "Madam, please don't blame Elder Miss? It was my fault. I didn't frame my words rightly before." He said and Lin Su Yi just clicked her tongue.

"Butler Qin, are you not tired of defending her? She always does or says something wrong and you come up to defend her." She slowly said as she took her leisure walk before finally reaching to stand in front of Yun Meiyi. Then turning to look at the butler, she added, "You know this is not the right way to treat children's wrong. To make them understand mistakes and their right manners, it's important to make them realize their wrongs. And realization only stucks with punishment. A punishment like this."

As she said, the next moment her actions came swiftly. Turning, she raised her hand, all ready to give a hard slap on the face of Yun Meiyi.

The butler stiffened as if from the corner of his eyes, he caught the sight of the lady raising her hand. "Madam, please don't!" He called out in anxiousness but he knew it was already too late for him to do anything to protect Yun Meiyi.

But the next second, his pupils dilated when he saw that the thing didn't end up as he had thought. Instead, something else happened that was enough to stun him for the second time in a short while.
