Suddenly, Yun Meiyi's expression turned serene. She didn't ask the butler again. Even though curiosity was getting the best of her, she was waiting patiently for the response of the old man.

"Elder Young Miss, tomorrow is the celebratory gathering at the mansion itself. Master has been successful on his business trip. So, he has invited a few of his friends and people to celebrate together. Some selected employees of the company are also invited."

The butler explained and Yun Meiyi simply hummed in response. Her plain hum was something that made the old man ill at ease. With some hesitation laced in his voice, he asked, "Elder Young Miss, will you be coming?"

"Why should I? I don't find myself a part of it. Furthermore, haven't I left the home already?" She spoke, and to her words like that, the old butler didn't hold for another moment before saying.

"Elder Young Miss, you can't say something like that. Although we know that you left home after being upset, this family is still yours and you are the eldest daughter. If the guest didn't see you at home, they would make talks in the society and it wouldn't be good. Also, you cannot forget that your grandfather has not yet had any information about this. If he comes to hear anything, …"

"Butler Qin, I have something to do later. You don't have to worry about me. I will keep you informed just to ease your anxiousness. For the rest, please don't expect anything from me." Interrupting the butler, Yun Meiyi finished her talk before disconnecting the call.

Taking a deep breath in, she tried to ease the knot in her heart before giving out a small chuckle of self-disdain. She was really naive to even consider that thought once again. How does she even think that her father could be anxious for her? There was simply no chance.

"Si Si, do you know in the end, he still cared for the social gathering. He called me not because he was concerned for me after not finding me at home, but rather he wanted me to come to the dinner so that he could ask me to be present at the party tomorrow. So that after sensing my absence for long, society doesn't point fingers at him." Yun Meiyi said as annoyance flowed in her wine-ish pairs.

Liu Si Si didn't speak for a good moment of time and sensing his silence was kind of weird, Yun Meiyi turned to look at her only to find her deep in her thoughts.

"What are you thinking so deeply?" She asked and Liu Si Si popped up her head to ask.

"Are you going to the party?"

Yun Meiyi's brows jutted as looking at her suspiciously, she asked back, "Why are you asking this?"

Liu Si Si shook her head in nothingness before keeping her expression firm to say, "Yi Yi, I feel you should go. After all, you are the elder daughter of the family and if you would be missing out on the scene, people will talk."

Her words like that did nothing but make Yun Meiyi more suspicious of her. "Si Si, I know you better. So, cut the chase and tell me what's going on in your naughty head." She asked with a frown slowly but eventually, she saw a creepy expression getting up on the face of her friend.

"Yi Yi, you know I hate it when people look down at you. But even though I hate it, I have no control over it. Yun Jiaqi and Su Yang embarrassed you at their party and I was able to do nothing since I was not in the country."

"Would you have been able to do anything if you had been in the country?" Yun Meiyi interrupted and Liu Si Si just paused to stare at her in dumbfoundedness.

"Fine, I wouldn't have been able to do anything, I accept. But I would also not have sat back and watched it happen. I would have instigated you to get on your evil side so that you would have done something to make them regret it." She said and Yun Meiyi raised her brows at her.

"But anyway, since we can't go into the past, let's just focus on the future. Since I have not instigated you in the past, I will encourage you now. Go and teach them a good lesson, Yi Yi." Liu Si Si said with eyes all glittery and exuberant.

Yun Meiyi's frown deepened. Sighing, she said, "Si Si, are you in the mood for child's play. What are you even thinking?"

"Yi Yi, this is no child's play. I am being serious. You should go and defeat them in every situation you find suitable. After all, haven't you gotten bored after taking it low for so long?" Liu Si Si said with an expression that was stating matter-of-fact.

Yun Meiyi let her continue while she started the engine, maneuvering the steering wheel to drive out of the building.

"Yi Yi, last time people saw you depressed and embarrassed, this time present them with your flamboyant appearance. Make them regret it. Especially, make Su Yang and Yun Jiaqi regret." Liu Si Si continued more and soon found Yun Meiyi getting deep into thoughts.

Her eyes glittered up with some expectation as drawing closer to Meiyi, she asked in a low voice, "So, Yi Yi, what have you thought? Are you going there?"

"..." Yun Meiyi didn't reply. To which, Si Si asked again.

"Yi Yi?"

Yun Meiyi suddenly turned to look at her with some intensity in her eyes. Not saying anything for a while, she nodded. "I will go."

"Perfect!" Liu Si Si at once jumped on her seat with a clap. "I knew it. You would agree. Why would you not? After all, it's my plan and you believe it. How about adding another good element to it?"

She said, and Yun Meiyi knitted her brows at her. What more was her little head brewing now?

Giving a sheepish grin, Liu Si Si took her time before she added, "Call and ask the handsome with fiery red eyes to accompany you."

She said and it took a while for Yun Meiyi to register, which handsome with fiery amber eyes was she talking about.
