18 Feathering heights would finally have a Boss.

Outside, Liu Si Si's phone kept on dinging with messages and calls but except for ignoring them all, she didn't spare an extra glance towards them. As she had said earlier, the supermarket has really been diligent in their work and has already delivered the things ordered on time. And to help Meiyi, she was now just organizing them.

Suddenly she heard her phone ringing again. She would have ignored the rings well again but then suddenly, from the corner of her eyes, she caught the name displayed on the screen. "You didn't. I called you just now and you have received it without missing. But before talking about all that, tell me first. How is Meiyi? Is she fine?" The man on the other side of the call asked with concern and Si Si's expression turned a bit complex before she said.

"I can't tell you, because I am not sure. I was scared to ask her about the things that happened to her so I just brushed over the surface and let her heal on her own. We won't be able to imagine what she has been enduring inside, so why poke her wound? The pain in her heart is from betrayal and it would only subside with time."

She said and the person on the other side of the call hummed in response. "You thought it perfect. It would take time to heal and there is no fast process. So, let her handle it. We would always be there to support her and that's it." He said and Liu Si Si nodded.

After a moment, her expression turned into disgust as she grumbled, "I still don't understand how did that little brain of Yun Jiaqi worked? How could she even treat YiYi like this? Did she have no sense of sisterhood?"

The moment she said that a cold voice interrupted from a corner, making her all stiffened in her place. "Sisterhood blooms between sisters, Si Si. My relationship with Yun Jiaqi has always been my wishful thinking, so there was no sense of sister-love between us."

Yun Meiyi spoke as she walked out of the room dressed in a casual high collared, white laced knee-length dress that fitted her figure, accentuating her every curve decently.

Liu Si Si quickly coughed before speaking to the person on the call. "Okay, I will call you later." She said and then disconnected the call before looking guiltily at Yun Meiyi. "YiYi are you upset with me? I didn't want to tell him. But he called and asked me and I wasn't able to keep it in. You know how I get when I am angered."

She pouted her lips out and Yun Meiyi just chuckled at her act. Shaking her head, she walked behind the kitchen counter, and said, "Your acting skill has got a lot improved; I can see it." Then taking a bowl, she gestured towards the refrigerator. "Bring me some eggs."

Liu Si Si got going on her foot as she replied, "Of course, I have improved a lot. Otherwise, how do you think that I am bringing the money to your company?" She said while soon closing the door of the refrigerator, she brought the eggs to the counter. "Here you go.

"Sorry, I am lagging in the office work. Need to check the details to think of a proper appreciation for you. For now, I will just serve fluffy pancakes to you. Have it for now while for a better reward, wait for a while. Let me get to the office and then I would see." She said while beating the eggs to their fullest.

Although her words sounded simple, they brought a wave of euphoria to Liu Si Si. The moment she heard her; her eyes shone. Halting Meiyi in her action she made her turn to look at her. "YiYi, did you just say that you are coming back to the office?"

Yun Meiyi looked at her and nodded. To which, she further confirmed, "With office, you mean Feathering Heights?"

"Umm … yes, for now, I mean Feathering Heights. But for later, I am not sure." Meiyi said before turning back to add the flour to the batter. "Since I would be free these days, I am planning to have some fun in the company. After all, I have never been there all these years."

She said and after a few minutes when she didn't hear any response coming from Si Si, she turned to only find her in tears. Tugging her brows in confusion, she quickly asked, "What happened to you? Why are you suddenly crying?"

Liu Si Si shook her head. "Nope, I am just too happy. Finally, Feathering Heights would get to see who its real Boss is. It was such a pity that no one ever knew it. Y-You know people still think that behind the seamless success of the company, it's some man who loves to keep a low profile. Every time I heard them saying this, I wanted to scream and tell them how wrong they were, but each time I held back knowing you wouldn't like it. But now with your return, things would be turning good. I am so happy." She said before sniffling on her sobs.

Yun Meiyi couldn't help but offer her a few tissues to wipe off the tears. "Okay, I understand. Here, take this and wipe off your nose first. It won't look good if you have it on your face while clicking your photograph." She said and Liu Si Si took the napkin to wipe off her nose before moving it to her eyes.

"Don't joke around. I don't have a booger; I just have some pretty tears that make me look cute." She snorted and then, sniffling a few more times, she went to wrap her arms around her friend to ask in a quite serious tone. "YiYi, are you upset with me? I really didn't mean to tell him about you, but when he asked, I wasn't able to control it? He has always been concerned for you and had asked me often about you."

Although earlier, Yun Meiyi has switched the topic, Liu Si Si knew it wasn't unimportant to let it slide away. It was something that needed to be clarified at the moment itself.
