34 Angel following the Devil is not simple.

Xu Wei was at once flustered at Yun Meiyi's pointed gaze. To be honest, he, himself, wasn't sure why he was even asking this question to her. But sitting at the same table as her, he could no longer hold himself back from asking this.

If you don't want to answer, it's okay." He said and Yun Meiyi smiled before taking her glass to sip a small mouthful of her juice.

Xu Wei almost thought the woman has ignored him, so not to bother her more, he also went back to his food. But just then he heard her say, "I have no boyfriend. And currently, I am not interested in any man or any relationship."

She said and he looked up at her as if he was quite surprised to hear that. When Yun Meiyi caught that astonished look on his face, she arched her brows at him and asked. "What? Is it that hard for you to believe?"

Xu Wei shook his head in denial as slowly a curve lifted up his lips before he looked away to hide that expression. "Definitely not, Ms. Yun. To not have a boyfriend must be your choice or maybe you wouldn't have met the right one yet. I am sure your relationship status would change when you meet the one." He said and his word held a hidden meaning that was clear to even deaf's ears.

But Yun Meiyi pretended to not get anything from it. Nodding, she accepted his words and said in a doubtful tone. "Maybe!"

While at the same time, at a distance on another table, someone else looked more amused. He couldn't help but click his tongue before taking out his phone to make a call with a spark of elation in his eyes. But even after the first few rings no one received the call but just when the rings were about to die down, he heard the receiver receive.

Knowing who was on the other side, he said, "Guess what I found out today? The Creator has planned another difficulty for you to deal with. So, buckle up fast and get ready for it because your survival in this universe is really gonna be tough. The human woman concerned to you is not only tough to handle but also hard to tame. He said but when didn't hear any reply coming from the other side, he smiled deeper to ask, "Hey, what happened? Is the fearless prince of darkness getting scared now? Don't worry if you can't tame her, she will tame you for sure."

He said and the man on the other side of the call simply ignored all his previous words to ask, "Do you know what's the shiniest star in the entire galaxy?"

"Huh?" The man in the restaurant was confused by his sudden query. "Are you studying stars now? I am talking about the woman. What are you even planning?"

"If you are not going to say it, I don't think this call is really important to me. I am disconnecting it." He said and before the person on the other end of the call could react, there was already a beep of disconnection to wake him up from the dream.

Did he just cut the call on my face? He huffed in disbelief before making another call.

And the moment it got connected, he said, "It's Sirius, the shiniest star visible in the night sky of the Earth. But do you really have to cut my call for it? Do you know I was here helping you keep an eye on that woman and you are treating me like this? You don't value me. Why did I even leave the side of angels to stay with you?"

He spoke grudgingly so that the man on the other side of the call would feel the tiniest guilt about it. But he expected a little too much.

The next second came the cold reply that broke his delusion very hard.

"That was the wrong answer and you don't have to keep an eye on her. She is human, not your pet whom you have to look after. And as for you leaving the side of the angels, you can go back if you want to. I wouldn't want you to stay if you don't want to."

He said and again disconnected the call. The person on the other side couldn't believe it. Right, when he would have cursed the man, his secretary asked in a concerned voice, "President Kuang, is there a problem?"

Kuang Tianshi chuckled and then shook his head, "No, no, you are too weak to provide any help. Just keep your focus on the project we are going to sign and that would be enough for you to do." He said and the secretary nodded before checking the file once again.

While Kuang Tianshi looked back at the woman who sure had something in her that could attract the whole universe towards her. "Aye, there will finally be something fun to watch after several centuries." He said as he raised one leg to cross over the other with elegance.

But his attitude full of elegance was disrupted by the woman's displeased voice. "Hey, Mister. Can you at least watch where your leg is going?"
