Chapter 4: Read it.

"My Gosh, these fellows really want to kill this little me!" Cried Raven as he stopped banging the lowered Gate.

"Damn it," Raven smiled bitterly as he unsheathed his Teigu.

"In this case, I need to fight to the bitter end. Killed or to Kill," Raven heroically said as he slowly but bravely walked forward, heading towards the Raging Bandits.

"Whistle~! Did you hear that guys? Our Vice-Captain is going to fight the Bandits until the bitter end," One of the shooting archer stopped bombarding the Bandits as he whistled.

"Hehe~, do you best Vice-Captain!"

"As expected of our Fearless Vice-Captain!"

"Indeed, Vice-Captain is surely one of the bravest and most intelligent person in the world!"

"I agree, with our gallant Vice-Captain, this city will always be safe from any harm!"

"Vice-Captain, you're wrong, it's Kill or be killed!"

Sounds of praised were poured down onto Raven.

"Shut up! I'm enjoying the last moment of my life here! Oh, who the hell said that I'm wrong? Come out! Come out whoever the person who said the last sentence! What are you saying I'm wrong? It's the same thing, you asshole!" Raven halted his courageous walking and turned around to face the Soldiers who were obviously laughing at his miserable situation.

"Damn it! You guys, just wait there!" Raven sent out a few more sets of 'profundities' and resumed his journey to the Bandits.

"CHARGE! CHARGE! Kill these bitches! Slaughter them!" The Bandit leader cried while using his shield to block the Arrows coming to his way.

"Shoot! Shoot! Shoot at your will! Kill the people under us!" Najenda ordered while also releasing arrows towards the Bandits.

Every arrow that Najenda shoots, it always kills a bandit. One Shot One Dead, this signify her shooting ability.

"Kill the Bandits! Kill all of them! Kill the Bandits and the Vice-Captian!"

"Kill!!!"

The Soldiers' moral was at the highest as many of them were laughing while sending a few arrows to their Vice-Captain, everyone knew the capability of their Vice-Captain so they were not worried about him at all. Of course, the arrows were always crashed into the distance of Raven and were not hitting at all.

This way, the anxiety and nervousness of the other Soldiers disappeared.

"Damn it! You guys!" Raven yelled while a small smile appeared on his face.

"Curses! At this rate, we would be completely annihilated before we get to close at the City Walls!" The Leader of the Bandits cried as his Brothers-in-arm were slowly dying by the hands of the City Guards.

"Damn that guy! He's the reason why this plan fails!" The Leader of the Bandits said.

If not for Raven disrupting their charge, the Leader of the Bandits was sure that they would have already blow the City Gates into bits, but because of the person named Raven, they couldn't do that anymore.

The Cavalry was strong because of it charging ability, without it the strength of the Cavalry was significantly reduced.

"Who cares about this fuck*ng plan anymore?" The Leader of the Bandits decided to use their trump card, this was their trump card to blow the City Gates and Walls, and they were given by them by someone. "Brothers, take the babies and blow them into bits!"

Even though the Leader of the Bandits knew that they wouldn't be able to siege this City, he and his brothers wouldn't left the person who disrupted their plan alive, no matter what.

"Take these!"

"Arrgh! Die!"

One by one, the Bandits took a sphere like thing from their pockets and threw towards Raven and the City Walls with all of their strength, hoping that at least one of the sphere shape things hit either Raven or the City Walls, but most of them prefer for the sphere shape things to hit Raven, as he was the reason of the plan failing and their brothers dying.

"Don't tell me…," Raven immediately guessed the function of those sphere shape things.

"Get down everyone!" Raven warned as he hastily dodge the incoming sphere things towards him.

The soldiers up the walls were confused but decided to follow the order of their Vice-Captain, as they immediately get down.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM

Numerous explosions appeared as soon as the sphere shape things crashed into ground.

"HAHAHA! Take that!" The Bandits laughed heartily while looking at the smoke and flying small stones in the air. Even though they knew that they attack failed, it was still satisfying and enjoying to see the destructions that brought by their Bomb to their Enemies.

The Black smoke was everywhere, making for the 2 sides couldn't see each other.

"Charge! Use this chance to attack them with full power! Full Charge! No regard for your life! Kill them! Kill these fucke*s!" The Leader of the Bandits shouted as he whipped his battle horse towards their enemies.

"Charge! Follow the Leader!"

"Kill them all!"

The Bandits soon followed after the Leader of the Bandits.

"He~, interesting~ interesting~," All of sudden, when the Bandits entered the smoke area, a voice rang.

"Who is there?!" The Leader of the Bandit asked as his speed didn't increase instead, it increase further more.

"No one," The voice answered, no one could determine the location of the voice, as the voice seems rang everywhere within the smokre.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH

"Argh!"

"Where-Argh!"

"Damn! He's using the sm-Argh!"

Sounds of crying broadcasted inside the Black Smoke.

"Be careful Brothers! The attack is using the smoke to camouflage himself!" The Leader of the Bandits warned as he stopped his horse from going forward. The Leader of the Bandits felt the voice was familiar, and he concluded the gender of the voice by its tone.

"Damn! I can't see-Argh!"

"Kill the-Argh!"

One by one, the Bandits were dying.

The Black Smoke almost covered their vision so they couldn't see a few meters in front of them.

The Bandits frantically swaying their weapons, some who were feeling extremely fearful throw their knives, daggers, and many others at some other places, afraid of being suddenly attacked, this also caused of some casualties in the Bandits.

"Damn it! I thought this is the chance!" The Leader of the Bandit blamed himself for being so foolish. He thought that using the smoke to conceal themselves, they would be able to attack the City with more ease, but he's very, very wrong.

WHOOSH

All of sudden, when the Leader of the Bandits was blaming himself, a dagger suddenly flew towards him behind.

TING

'That's close!' Gravely thought the Leader of the Bandits after blocking the dagger. Because of numerous death and life battles he fought, it honed his skills, making him perceive dangers greatly than others. This ability saved him for numerous times, making him completely depends in it.

"You've surely got some abilities there," Snickered Raven as he emerged from the Black Smoke.

"As I thought, you're the sneaky bastard," Growled the Leader of the Bandits.

Raven just smiled as he once again assimilated into the Black Smoke.

"Damn it!" The Leader of the Bandits lunged forward where Rave was previously.

"Damn that sneaky bastard!" Howled the Leader of the Bandits in anger, as he started to scan his surroundings.

"ARGH!"

"ARGH!"

Sounds of crying in pain rang within the Black Smoke.

"Brothers, let's get the hell out of here!" Shouted the Leader of the Bandits as he ran back into his horse and mounted it.

WHOOSH

All of sudden, a dagger came out from the right side of the Leader of the Bandits.

TING

Thanks to his hone perception, the dagger was blocked by the Leader of the Bandits.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH

However, after blocking the dagger, multiple short swords, knives, daggers, came out from all sides and flew onto his direction.

"How did he…?" The Leader of the Bandits was shocked seeing so many weapons flying onto him.

TING TING TING

The Leader of the Bandits shows a fast reaction, as he started blocking the weapons with all of his might.

But because there are too many weapons, he was not on the level where he could block all of them, hence, a few daggers stabbed onto him and his warhorse.

"Damn it! Don't tell me he's not the only one!" The Leader of the Bandits winced in pain while taking out the weapons than stabbed into him.

"Die," With that word, a few more dozens of weapons flew onto the direction of the Leader of the Bandits.

"Damn it! Like hell I'm going to get killed by the likes of you!" Shouted the Leader of the Bandits as he howled like a dying wolf as he lunged towards where the voice lastly echoed, ignoring the pain of the weapons, which had stabbed him.

"What a foolish decision," Raven concealing in the Black Smoke shook his head and threw a dagger towards the direction of the Leader of the Bandits.

Even though, Raven couldn't use his vision to locate the whereabouts of the Leader of the Bandits, the sounds is enough for him to do so. Raven don't know how but every time he killed living things, he got stronger, Raven guessed that his Teigu was absorbing the Dead and gives it to Raven, it's like an RPG Game for Raven.

PUCHI!

The dagger pierced into the back of the Leader of the Bandits, as he howled in pain.

"Damn it! This little things won't kill me at all!" Smirked the Leader of the Bandits as his adrenaline shot high, with that, the pain he was feeling decreased dramatically and his strength surged up. The Humans were naturally strong but and the only thing that preventing them to use their full strength were because of their brains. When a person managed to break out the seal of that person's brain, then that person would be immensely powerful.

"Haha! Don't let me see you bastards as I will definitely kill all of you!" shrieked the Leader of the Bandits while swinging his great sword wherever he felt that somebody was there.

"ARGH!"

"WH-ARG!"

Wails of pain sounded in the area where the Leader of the Bandits swinging, slashing, piercing his great sword.

"Hahaha! Die! Die!" Loudly laughed the Leader of the Bandits as he keeps slashing everywhere. His eyes were bloodshot, he seems gone mad from the shock, pain, fear, and many other complicated emotions he felt earlier.

"He really gone mad, he started to kill his companions," Raven guessed while hearing the screams of the Bandits. He and Speedy, and the Zombies were the only the attacking forces while Keepy was the support one. Spidey was the Speed Mantis that he accidentally acquired, while Keepy was the newest Beast he had, Keepey was a pretty strong Danger Beast, Keepy had an ability to control wind, and right now, Keepy is currently keeping the Black Smoke here and not let it dissipated, Keepy could also control the noise of an area, for example, Keepy puts a mute-sound boundary where no sound could come out from the boundary.

"Speedy, let's finish," Raven ordered as he put his Teigu in the front of his chest.

Then, the Teigu was releasing a black light, the black lightly suddenly shot forward and in the air, the black light split into 2, then 4, 8, until it split into 20 parts, and each part entered the body a fallen bandit.

"ARGH!" Sounds of growling could be heard, as the dead bodies started to twitch, and after a few moments, the corpses slowly stand up. Their faces were rotten, and only growled could be heard from them. They were holding their previous weapons and started to attack the living beings around them.

Raven also ordered his previous set of Zombies. These Zombies were the one who threw the weapons at the Leader of the Bandits earlier. Naturally, with Raven's abilities, he still could not achieved that kind of feat.

'The Zombies might be slow but their strengths' substitute it,' Thought Raven as he smiled while listening to the shrieked of the Bandits.

"Ah, I forgot," Raven shyly scratched his head as he snapped his right hand.

In a certain area, the Leader of the Bandits was currently slaughtering everything in his way. When all of sudden, on his back, where a certain dagger was stabbed, and a sphere thing was currently hanging on its handle, a very thin string was currently attaching into it. Then, the thin suddenly enveloped the sphere and slowly crushes it.

BOOM

With that, the flesh and blood of the Leader of the Bandits flew all around.

The Leader of the Bandit, dead.

Hearing the explosion, Raven smiled as though he heard a very beautiful melody.

"Kill them all," Ordered Raven as he also lunged towards the remaining group of broken Bandits.

Their Moral was broken, their minds were broken, their bodies were broken, the Bandits were surely broken.

With their state, Raven and his subordinates finally killed all of them after a few minutes of slaughtering.

"Hm?" Suddenly, Raven felt his something was changing inside of his body, as though something is awakening or being born.

Raven felt pain all over his body.

COUGH

Raven cough a mouthful of blood as he fell into his knees.

"Damn it, what's happening to me?" Raven was confused and curious at the same time.

In the past years he was staying in this world, he never felt this changing, even once.

"It looks like I'm leveling up or something like that?" Raven asked himself as he felt his body was getting stronger, but the pain was also getting stronger.

"Go, hide for now," Raven ordered Speedy and Keepy who had approached him, suddenly disappeared within the Black Smoke, heeding their Master's order.

THUD THUD THUD

The Bodies of the Zombies who were currently eating the fleshes of their Dead Comrades suddenly fell down into the ground and stopped moving, as though they returned being ordinary corpses. However, because Raven made them into his Zombies, he could control them anytime he wanted.

COUGH

Raven coughed another mouthful of blood as his vision started to get blurred.

Outside the Smoke.

"What the hell is going there?" Najenda was confused while looking at the Black Smore arising from the ground.

"The Smoke is not dissipating, instead the Smoke is getting and getting denser, what the hell is going on?" Najenda started to get worried for Raven.

Because of the shouts of the Bandits earlier, Najenda knew that the Bandits entered the smoke. Najenda wanted to order her Archers, Crossbowmen to attack but she was worried that Raven would get hurt from the Friendly Fire.

"Don't die, Raven," Najenda muttered while looking at the Smoke with worry and anxiety in her eyes.

Najenda didn't knew but she started to get bad feeling and she started to get reminisced about the past.

'Najenda, where are you going?'

'Call me Captain, and I'm going to train'

'Really, then let me be your training partner,'

'Shh, go away!'

'Eh? Najenda, I promise that I won't disappoint you, so please let me your training partner!'

'How persistent… All right, come with me to the training ground,'

'Really? Are you sure?'

'Yes, so what?'

'Maybe next time, I'm feeling lazy today,'

'Then, why did you said you wanted to become my training partner!?'

'Well, I'm just-Ouch! Don't pull my ear!'

'Shut up! Come with me to the training ground!'

'Eh! What a pain in the ass~,'

'Huh? What did you say?!'

'N-nothing,'

"What an Idiot, if you don't come back, I won't ever forgive you," Najenda smiled while remembering the events she had with Raven.

WHOOSH

Then all of sudden, a wind suddenly blow, making the Black Smoke dissipated.

"What the hell?!"

"What happened?"

The Soldiers above the Walls were flabbergasted seeing the corpses below them.

"D-don't tell me, Vice-Captain killed all of them?" One of the Soldiers thought out loud.

"That must be it," One of the Senior Soldiers nodded his head.

"Even though, Vice-Captain acts like an idiot, he is really strong," The Soldier beside the Senior Soldier who had nodded, also nodded his head.

"So, where is the Vice-Captain?" One of the Soldiers asked.

"This… I don't also know,"

"Come, let's find him, maybe he is resting in there,"

"Open the Gate!" Najenda ordered as a few shouts echoed with the same contents, as the Lever of the Door was pulled up and the Metallic Door started to open.

"Go! Find your Idiot Vice-Captain!" Najenda ordered as the anxiety was growing stronger and stronger.

Najenda thought that as soon as the Black Smoke dissipated, she would see the smiling face of Raven who always praised himself when he achieved some small things, as though he did the best thing in the world.

"Yes, Captain!" The Soldiers below shouted as the walked out from the City and started to check the corpses.

"What a terrible deaths they received," One of the Soldiers commented while looking at the terrified faces of the Corpses, some of the corpses were missing limbs, some also have their internal organs plastered outside, making the Soldiers broke out in cold sweat, and felt a little scared from just seeing the corpses. They knew that something great battle occurred and that made them wondered, if some great battle really happened then why didn't we heard any noises? And, that's the work of Keepy.

"Ahh!" Suddenly one of the searching soldiers shirked.

"What happened?!" All of the searching soldiers hurriedly went towards the shirked soldier.

The solder who had shirked was trembling all over his body while using his right hand's index finger to point at a certain direction.

"T-that's…" The Soldier couldn't finish his sentence as he knell down and broke into tears.

"Vice-Captain!" The Soldiers hurriedly went forward to Raven, who blood all over his body. A few daggers were stabbed into his body, and his body was not… pulsating anymore.

"Hurry! Hurry! Help the Vice-Captain!" Shouted of the Soldiers while some of them cried while looking at their Vice-Captain.

"Damn it! Hurry! Hurry! Just fuck*ng hurry!"

THUD

Najenda doesn't know but when she heard the shrieks of the Soldiers below, she fell down on her knees. Najenda leaned on the wall as she did her best to stand up but couldn't.

"R-report," One of the Soldiers climbed up the City Walls and kneel down behind Najenda.

"W-we found the corpse of the… Vice-Captain!" The Soldier cried after reporting.

THUD

Hearing that, Najenda collapsed.

'Oiya? What are you doing here in the middle of the night, Najeda?'

'It's captain you idiot, and the answer for you question is… I just want to stare at the stars,'

'Eh? That sounds pretty troublesome,'

'So, what are you doing here in the middle of the night, Vice-Captain?'

'Me? I'm just stargazing,'

'Don't you feel troublesome?'

'Indeed, but it's worth it because you're here with me,' Raven smiled as the moonlight shone, bathing his face with moonlight.

'…You really have a good tongue there,' Najenda calmed herself for a moment then replied.

'I see, then, thank you, I guess?' Raven sheepishly smiled.

'Najenda, it's been a few years since we met right?' Raven suddenly asked after a brief of silence.

'Right, so what of it?' Najenda nodded her head.

'That means, it also been a few years since I love you,' Raven smiled as he looks at Najenda.

'…' Najenda didn't know what to do at that moment as her face froze.

'Najenda,' Raven smiled as he approached Najenda and put his right hand on her chin, raised it to meet his face as he whispered into her right ear.

'I always love you,' Raven smiled as his hair fluttered with the air.

'So please, love me too,' Raven smiled as he approached his face in front of Najenda.

'I will, you Idiot,' Najenda kept the words in her throat as she couldn't speak say it to Raven.

Looking at Najenda, Raven smiled as he kissed her cherry lips.

SMOOCH CHIP CHIP

Sounds of kissing could be heard, and the Glittering Staris and Shining Moon in the sky were the witnessed of it.
