I wondered if Mauve had ever confronted him about everything he did before she turned him in.

All I wanted more than anything was to be happy, just for one day. I wanted to forget what I was going through but I needed something to push me closer to the feeling of getting high.

There wasn't a lot of bars close to my house so I walked a long distance before I found one.

It was empty and the bar keeper told me it was only busy at night. I was happy about the scarcity of people, it made the place quiet enough for me to think.

After taking about four glasses of beer, a teenager, about my age walked into the bar. He was tall with thick black hair and a scar on his eyebrows.

'The usual?' The bar keeper asked him.

'Yeah.' His voice was just a beautiful as he was.

'You haven't been here in a while, is business slow now?' The bar keeper asked.
