In the wake of the recent Endbringer attack, three of our moderators have passed.

As tradition, this post will remain pinned for two weeks before being archived in our Lost Hall. For those who have final words to say about the fallen, please post them under their names in the Hall.

We might have never met in person, but these were our friends, nonetheless.

Their deaths are a loss to us all.

@Tearamisu: One of the longest active mods. They first joined only a few months after the site launched and remained a pillar, always available to help newer members or provide advice for those willing to listen.

@Kraken-Laken: With the seventh highest number of posts out of all mods, they were one of the most active and social members of this platform. Their sense of humor and quick-wit, their vivacity and joy-de-vivre, it will be remembered by all who can look at their numerous messages and know Kraken was one of the kindest, most cheerful people I have had the pleasure of working with.

@Quietus: Most will not know of Quietus. They rarely posted and hardly interacted with our members directly. Do not believe for an instant they were not there, however. Quietus cared more about this site and community than anyone else. They, on average, worked fourteen hours a day in ensuring the smooth operation of our day to day usage. Their quiet dedication shall never be forgotten by those who knew them.

These three are but the moderators that lost their lives. We know many of our members must have passed as well. As always, if you know one of our members that are no longer with us, please send a PM here. We will verify it and add their names to the Hall.

In this time of loss, we urge everyone to give up any differences of opinions and secular squabbles so we can take the time to mourn, not only the members of our community but all the losses our members are facing in their day to day life.

Please be aware that breaking any of the site's rules for the next month will incur triple their usual punishment.

Any rule broken in the Lost Hall will result in immediate account deletion.

This is a time to come together, not tear each other apart.

My first week, I was to shy to post anything. Responses or new threads. I ended up asking Tear for advice and our conversation went back and forth for over a month. For them to be gone is a tragedy. I still don't post much, and it's been years, but I will never forget something they told me:

Why do Supers wear masks? Because anonymity is a superpower in of itself. The only one we have.

I don't know if its a good thing or not (please spare me mods if it isn't) but I just keep thinking of the types of responses Kraken would make in this situation. He'd be like: Looks like I finally 'Kraked' or 'Don't light incense for me, I already got smoked!'

His jokes were awful, but I don't think he ever made one at anybody's expense but his own.

I don't know which is sadder, that we have these great stories about Tear and Kraken, or that there are so few about Quietus. Is it better to be diligent and unobtrusive, or engaging but less effective?

Either way, I'm majorly bummed. I'm going to lie down.

I didn't really know any of them, or engage with them on any sort of deep level like some others. The site is too big to know everyone. But the fact that netizens like me even remember them and have these stories tells you everything you need to know about them so I will toast three more lost in the line of duty.

...is it wrong to be happy that we only lost three mods and 24 members? I remember when Behemoth first attacked New York and the Lost Hall was first set up. Hundreds died. I am not trying to minimize the loss to those who knew them, I am just grateful damage was mitigated thanks to the Heroes and The Family. Five Endbringers, six if you count Sebbetu. It could have been so much worse.

The chinese side of the site has it a lot worse. They're still counting the dead and already their Hall increased by over a thousand names. I do agree it could have been worse and I am grateful it wasn't but we can't forget that we are only seeing the English speaking side of it.

And the number is at 25 members now. Char was near the CN tower when Khonsu arrived. They found her body this morning.

Instead of focusing on the existential fear that is making up my existence for the last week, I am consciously choosing to focus on the important things in life. Not the fact that we've been mastered for six years by an Endbringer, or that they were sandbagging and still whooped ass, or that there are who knows how many out there that could show up at the drop of a hat. I am not focusing on any of that, are you? Instead I am dedicating all my thoughts to the only thing that really matters:

Powers and how awesome they are.

Maybe now I won't cry myself to sleep tonight.

Anyway, existential dread aside, we've gotten a lot of good shit over the last week from the Elden Lord and the Family in that regard. There are dedicated threads for each of them: HERE but I wanted to focus on Heartbreak and any new stuff in one place. Here is my list, in the order they appeared (as far as I know.)

Everyone: Turn into dragons (Everyone knew this before but I think it's important to emphasis that not all the dragons are the same size/power/specialty)

Tsunade: Cloning (No word on limit, but each of them can use her powers)

Tsunade: Healing. (Not biomancy, like Red Queen but actually healing.)

Everyone: Temperature/radiation/Environmental? immunity (however they survived Behemoth's Kill aura)

Yoruichi: Speedster level speed (maybe? how do you test that) She might also have some sort of Thinker ability. How else did she find Khonsu?

Yoruichi: Lightning (Is this a power or a result of the speed?)

Raven: Teleportation. (Again, everyone knows about this one but this goth demon/dragon teleported MILLIONS OF PEOPLE over the course of a few minutes. This needs a mention.)

Tsunade: Wood Mech? (I don't know why people are calling is a Female Titan. Maybe a reference I don't get. Either way, I choose to believe it's a mech and you can't stop me.)

Tsunade: Immortality/Healing factor (She got her heart ripped out and shrugged it off. You can see it regrow. It's awesome)

Artoria: Spear lazer of DOOM!!! (No relation to Doom. Just a fuckoff spear of light that managed to turn Brockon's bay into the new Mariana Trench while reducing Behemoth to atoms. I don't know enough about fishing to know if this is good or not for the city.)

Elden Lord: Heartbreak

Elden Lord: THE HEALER!!! (Like, jesus christ, I cannot emphasis how OP this is. The Dragon just healed EVERYONE ON THE FUCKING PLANET OF EVERYTHING!! I don't know what it cost him, if there's a cooldown, or what. But even if this is something that can only be done every decade, we NEED him on earth. Cancer? Gone. Lost limbs? They're back. Blind people can see. Deaf people can hear. Burn victims are pristine. MY FUCKING ED IS CURED! WTF!!) EDIT: I am leaving that part in. I am not ashamed.

Priscilla: Death Scythe (She bisected an Endbringer. You can't tell me that's raw strength and not a power.)

Tsunade: All the food. (She can singlehandedly solve world hunger. Apart from the Elden Lord, we need her the most.)

Medea: Spooky Scary Skeletons (Their not human, they don't even have skulls, but there are MILLIONS of them carving a city out of a mountain.)

EDIT2: There is an official story about Sebbetu out, but it doesn't reveal anything we didn't know before.

EDIT3: Wonder Woman's report just leaked about the fight with Leviathan.

Robin: Clones. Dragon clones. (There is no footage of this battle, so we only have the report. The exact words were 'Enough clones to drown the ocean')

Scathach: You are already dead Spear (Apparently, she killed Leviathan with one stab from within the monster.)

Is that everything? Let me know if I am missing something.

Controlling the Endbringers. Isn't it suspicious that they are around for years but nothing like this happens until he shows up? It was a stage show, none of his Family were in any danger. The Elden Lord is fooling you all.

I wouldn't go that far, but there is some suspicious points. Like where did go after the meeting. Or why, in the middle of the attack, did his body dissapear from the Island? That was before Heartbreak. Then, he only appears way after the fighting is done to heal everyone? There are a lot of questions.

I think you two are kinda skipping some questions that break your 'theory.'

Why: What is there motive? Why do all of this? Power? He bodied the League. Prestige? Everyone knows his name. Women? Right now, he could have anyone he wanted, man or woman, with Heartbreak.

Who: We can argue about conspiracies until we're blue in the face, but we have to work with what we actually know, not what 'could be.' Let's take what we know about the guy. Devoted to his Family. Sense of humor. OP yet doesn't do anything unless poked. The dude bants with an invading interdimensional Demon Lord, had his daughter EAT him from the inside, and then what does he do? He goes for tacos.

When: Why now? If he did have some machievellian scheem to come out as the hero who saved the day, why now? Why not wait till we're ground down more and other Endbringers are active? We'd be willing to do whatever he wanted if we had been deeling with a half dozen Endbringers for years.

There are a few other things that stick out, but those are the ones off the top of my head. I am all for being suspicious, but I don't think there is any reason to suspect the Elden Lord is behind the Endbringers.

I am a consummate lurker and this is my first post, but I need to get this out and I don't have IRL friends or family so let me word vomit for a bit.

I feel empty.

Like a hole I didn't know was there was suddenly filled and I was complete. Then the hole was back.

I know why He did it. I know thirty seconds of mastering in exchange for killing an Endbringer is a small price to pay. But dammit! What am I supposed to do with myself now?

I liked the Elden Lord. He seemed like a down to earth type of guy, despite the power and the women. I could respect that. But for those thirty seconds, I loved him. Not because of anything he did, saving my life, killing the Simurgh, or other Endbringers, or that He and His Family saved my life.

I loved him because He loved me. Loved me in a way nobody ever has or ever will again.

I know everyone's experience was subtly different, but I'm sure many of you are orphans like me. You must have felt it. Like a father or brother I never had. Caring. Gentle, but firm. Like all He wanted from me was to live a long, happy life. Like I was His hope.

But now that's gone, and I hate Him.

I don't hate Him because I was mastered.

I hate Him because I am not mastered anymore.

Whew. I needed to get that off my chest. I know this is screaming into the void, and possibly opening myself up to ridicule, but there is nobody else I can tell this to. If you all want to scream back, feel free. Especially if you're from Gotham like me. We need to stick together.

Edit: I didn't expect this to become a group therapy thread, but I am glad it did. You all are awesome.

Edit: Since the thread got too long, I started another one HERE. I think we all need to vent a little.

My Heartbreak was different than most. I am asexual and I am lucky enough to have a supportive family and friends. What I felt wasn't lust, or romantic in the slightest. Mikael's love wasn't trying to turn me 'normal' or some other bullshit. There was a reliability there. A love from a best friend. The type of love where you can call him, shitfaced, at 3:37 in the morning and he'll come pick you up, bring you to his place, give you water, advil, and a bucket and put you to bed. Then mock you mercilessly about it for the next two decades.

With everything going on, I wanted to make a more lighthearted thread so here is the prompt:

Dragons typically have elements (Fire, Ice, light, etc...) but the Family has a bunch of esoteric elements as far as I can tell. (Wood, Telekinesis?, Cat-lightning???)

If you could be a dragon of one element, no esoteric, what would you be? No wrong answers.

I'll go first.

I'd be a Size Dragon. Grow as big or as small as I want. I don't mean just Ant-Man's abilities, I mean anything I want. Microscopic to 'eat galaxies.' I could use it in some really creative ways, like only increasing the size of my hands or.. other appendages. My breath would shrink all my enemies to the size of fruit flies.

Not really? I mean this one mentions the city in specific but not in a derogatory sense. If anything, the one about Brockton is harsher on the people but even then it toes the line. Brockton was a shithole. (might still be, we'll see how they rebuild) So long as none of it uses hate speech, calls others to action, or other things that violate the rules, we let things like this slide.

@Thersir I double checked to be sure. The official word from our Great Mother in Tin is that praising someone (or a Family) too much isn't a punishable offense. So having a bunch of threads dedicated to a religion, (and collaboratively writing a bible-esque series of books) even if it is dedicated to someone still alive, is permissible. Just like the Scientologist, Christian, or Buddhist sections of the site, you can choose not to engage. Freedom of religion applies to all beliefs, not just long running ones.

So, before I stab myself with this vial of red liquid, can anyone tell me if this is legit?

It said it heals any recent wound and I would really like my back to stop hurting, (fell off a ladder) but I don't want to get cancer to do it.

Ignore the guys above me, it's legit. Got a pretty bad cut on my leg the day after the Elden Lord healed everyone (my luck strikes again). Cut an artery. There's no healer in my city but they had a crate of the stuff. Healed me right up in seconds.

It's FDA approved and the Docs told me there isn't. They kept me over night to be safe. But I feel great. Better than ever. I think I'll go for a run, it's been a while.

Shit! Guys! Get this stuff now! I just came back from my run. It doesn't just heal, it improves what it heals. Like that micro tear stuff you hear about all the time.

I just beat my best time by a fucking landslide. I am not Super level but I have never been that fast or had that much stamina. I don't know where the gains cap at, but I am going to find out.
