Cave 1

The cave was dark and cold. As dark as the darkest night. As cold as the northen-most point in Telaria. The three of them followed the wall as their eyes adapted to the cave. Their guide had stopped after fifteen minutes into the dark, dropped the lantern and took off running. They had paid a great sum of money for the info and a guide to finally find this place. Now they were wandering along the darkest cave in the country in hunt for this Hendora. Suppoused vampire, witch, demon and murderer. The Queen had paid good money to finally get rid of whatever lived in this lightless place. Normally they wouldn't believe the ramblings of drunks and scared children. However when the Queen paid for something that was a myth one didn't tell her that it was simple scaretactics mothers used on their young. Especially not when the party was running low on cash. Cash was usually offered half upon accepting the quest and the other half when it was completed. This time around the entire sum was paid instantly.

"The first red flag" he thought to himself in the dark. His companions was a large goliath of a man and a knight from a royal family. Not the typical company for a man looking to make a fortune. For a retired demon hunter though, it was pretty common to have atleast one misfit. The tale of Hendora was one even he had heard back in his day as a hunter. The rumour was that they had sent fifteen hunters after the halfelf and only five had made it out claiming to have sealed away the pest forever. The recent murders around the villages seemed to claim diffrently. It was a foolish choice going into the lair of a vampire-demon-witch-whatever with just one demon hunter and two freaks of nature. Yet, here they were. Hoping to fool the mysterious monster that they had a rough time seeing in the dark by sticking to the walls. The best part about a job that paid this well was that you could take every precaution and not have to worry about losing money in the end. Having bought potions for everyone to help them see in the dark was a must when fighting creatures that thrived in the dark specially infused armor and weapons to protect against slashing attacks and deal damage to magical beings were a must aswell. Some other bits and pieces that could prove useful was just extra bit of security. Necessary but costly. The first indication that Hendora was near was the slight shift in the air. It was as if the cave itself had switched direction of the wind. Something that moved fast enough to change the wind so little would truly be a problem. And not a small one. She continued to stalk them for a while before the second sign came. The stench of death had started to creep in ever so slowly. Goliath had his axe in hand while knight had loosened his straps on the shield so that it could be swung onto his arm in a quick motion. Rogue adjusted his belt to make sure he could get both of his daggers quickly if the need arised. Sign number three came as a breath on the neck of Knight. He spun around quickly to meet his foe and found nothing. Now she knew. The knight wouldn't be fast enough to block the rest with his shield if she attacked. She'd spent two minutes walking infront of the giant without him twitching so he couldn't see very far in the darkness it seemed. The Rogue's eyes flew all over the place at all times. He was the one that would break first. She let out a laugh that made their neckhairs stand on edge. The battle would soon begin. She started taunting them. She touched the arm of the rogue, whispered in the knights ear and moved to the giant. Stepping just into his armlength.

~Boo. Her taunt of the massive man was cut short as he grabbed her and threw her into the wall next to him with a loud bang.
