Originally Chainsaws were built as surgeons' tools to aid in childbirth. The operating chainsaws were hand-operated and tiny. The procedure was known as symphysiotomy. It was performed by hand using a small knife and saw to cut through the cartilage of the pelvic joint. Also, don't search the procedure in images. I would need a lot of therapy to remove those images from my head.
