'Just you wait old man, after I get into the academy, I will become so powerful that no one will be able to bully anyone close to me ever again and I'll be sure to pay you back what you did to use today if I ever meet you in future!' Alex vowed in his heart.

The villagers were still having different thoughts on what had happened when a purple light beam suddenly rushed from the sky towards them. The speed of the light beam was so fast that even the village head was unable to see it properly before it pierced into Alex's forehead and disappeared into his body, Alex did not even see what happened before losing consciousness.

"Alex!"

The village head and Agnes shouted at the same time immediately after realizing what had just happened, Alex had suddenly passed out after the purple beam entered his body.

There was no mistaking, that a light beam had appeared from the direction that the hovercar flew in.

"It's that old man's doing!" The village head gnashed his teeth even more in rage but still rushed over to Agnes's side first so he could check on Alex and make sure that he was alright.

The village head wasn't far from the mother and son pair to begin with so he got to them quickly. Placing his hand on Alex and feeling different spots on his body, the village head wore a confused and helpless expression on his face as he could not figure out anything wrong with Alex. The kid looked like he was just sleeping.

"Did you find out anything?" Agnes asked the village head, her voice filled with worry and distress.

The village head shook his head in response.

"He looks completely fine so I can't tell what that light did to him, we will have to wait for him to wake up first before examining him again," the village head said solemnly.

Agnes nodded and carried Alex with the help of an elderly woman as they all returned to the village, no one needed to be told before knowing it was no longer appropriate to continue working after what had happened today.

A few kilometers away, seated in his hover car, the old man slowly lowered his finger that had a purple light on its tip with a smirk on his face.

"Mission complete" the old man voiced out as his appearance slowly began to change and in a few seconds he had become a completely different person.

Long white hairs fell on the seat of the hover car, a young and extremely handsome face with exquisite features, and a pair of mesmerizing glass-like eyes. The person he had changed into was no other than Vee of the northern continent, the strongest mage in the existence of Edrichrio who had been said to have died fifteen years ago. Or it could be said that it was Vee who had visited the villagers in the form of an old man to carry out some tasks that he had assigned to himself.

That purple light beam that he had sent into Alex's body just now was a fragment of his soul that would hide in Alex's soul until he became a mage king. The purpose of imputing a fragment of his soul Into Alex was to help the kid contain the two powers that were currently dormant inside his soul, this would prevent his soul from exploding upon awakening as no mage had been able to contain two elements upon awakening since their souls would not be strong enough to contain the clash between the two elements.

"Now he will be able to awaken without any issues" Vee muttered to himself with the side of his lips still hooked up in a smirk as he reminisced on what happened when he was still playing his arrogant mage role. The expressions of the villagers and how they had reacted made him chuckle for a brief moment.

"It really was a good thing that I didn't leave all my things back at the castle, pulling this off would have been a bit difficult" Vee sighed as he ran his fingers over the controller of the hover car.

This hover car had been personally tempered by him which was why it was able to fly like a battleship. The hover car aside, there was still a lot of good stuff in his storage device like magic stones, gold coins, and precious magic equipment. He had only given the village head a hundred gold coins so the latter did not freak out, there was a limit to what one could do for strangers after all. He could only imagine what would have happened had he been given more gold or even a magic stone, the village head might do something stupid as there was a limit to even fear.

"Aya Aya, no need to think about it. Everything went fine, they should be preparing to send the kid to the academy soon. Hehe, more entertainment" Vee laughed as he steered the hover car across the sky.

His expression suddenly changed and he stared upward, his gaze piercing through the covering of the hovercar and the clouds.

"What the!" Vee revealed a surprised expression at what he saw. He hurriedly controlled the hover car and flew higher, cutting through the clouds and appearing at the top of the planet in a few minutes.

Arriving above the clouds, Vee came out of the hover car and withdrew it into his storage device which happened to be a ring on his finger.

Swooom!!

The hovercar turned into a golden light and disappeared into the ring, Vee was left floating in the air as his eyes seemed to be staring at something outside the planet.
