Clearing beasts with speed

"Hmm, killing them should be part of the test, right?" Vee said out loud but what came next were the growling of the beasts in front of him and the distant noises in the forest, he did not hear the voice of the red-haired woman.

'Can she not see me or is she purposely keeping quiet? I'll just play safe then' Vee thought to himself and summoned his purple stars one by one before proceeding to connect them into patterns and then a constellation.

The beasts all lunged at Vee at the sight of his constellation but they were too slow compared to his connecting speed.

"Lightning Burst!" Vee voiced out and the spell Instantly shot out from the constellation toward the incoming beasts.

A surge of lightning collided with the beasts like a cannon and exploded into countless streaks of lightning which spread out to the other beasts, scorching all of them in an instant.

The beast that had been in front and had taken the full brute of the lightning had been so unlucky because it exploded into nothingness the instant the spell touched it, six out of the seven beasts died instantly to a single spell from Vee.

The last one that had survived the attack was the one at the mutated rank and it had only survived only because it had been at the very back of the other beasts so it had not taken as much damage as the rest, still, it ended up with half of its body scorched black by the lightning and was currently on the floor, unable to move anymore.

It was to be expected, after all, Vee had used a Nebula rank spell on them. The beast could even be commended for not dying instantly like its subjects.

Vee walked over to the beast and stared at it briefly before connecting a single-star pattern this time around.

"Spark" Vee called the name of the spell and his hand was suddenly coated in lightning which he proceeded to hold the head of the beast with, the lightning covering his hand traveled into the head of the beast and wreaked havoc inside of it.

Vee had dealt with the small pack of magic beasts within seconds.

"That was definitely not too flashy" Vee mumbled to himself as he stared at the corpses of the beasts. After all, he had not wiped them all out instantly and had instead used two spells.

Before he could think of what to do next, Vee suddenly saw the corpses of the seven beasts slowly scattered into particles of white light before disappearing into the air.

Although he did not know what this meant, he made a guess that this was what he had to do next.

'Should be similar to those tests where people have to hunt as many beasts as they could and points would be recorded based on the level and numbers of beasts that they killed' Vee came to a conclusion and his eyes flashed as he gazed into the forest, he said nothing else and slowly walked deeper into the forest with casual steps.

Vee encountered a lot of beasts as he moved into the forest with most of them being only at the common beast rank and a few at the mutated beast rank, they all lunged at him the moment they spotted a human in their domain.

Vee easily dealt with them all and did not slow down the pace at which he walked, every beast he encountered was killed with a single spell he tossed out.

Outside, the red-haired woman stared at the screen with a blank look on her face as the words on it kept changing.

The number of common beasts was already over 10 while mutated rank beasts were more than five.

'Is this not too much for a Nebula rank mage?' what the question on her mind. After all, a Nebula mage would have limited mana reserve and the rate of crimson dealing with the beast was just so fast.

Meanwhile, a few minutes passed after Vee walked deeper into the forest.

BAM BAM BAM!

Loud footsteps sounded as a huge figure of a beast appeared in front of Vee, Vee looked up at the beast that towered over the huge trees with a surprised look on his face; he recognized the beast instantly.

"A six-footed pangolin at the mutated beast rank!" Vee mumbled as he stared at the gigantic pangolin with six feet and covered in rock-hard scales. This beast was very well popular in the northern continent since it originated from there, he did not expect to encounter one during the test.

"A mutated ranked pangolin is said to be able to withstand the attack of even a Mage King ranked mage for a short time, let's see if that's true in this space," Vee said as a slight smile formed on his face, he quickly formed a constellation and lightning surged out and covered his right hand.

The gigantic pangolin also noticed the white-haired human in front of it and it let out a strange cry, it stomped its six big feet on the ground, leaving six huge holes in the ground as it lunged forward.

Its speed was not slower than that of the puppet that Vee had faced during the strength test but it was still not fast enough in Vee's eyes, he could see the movements of the beast clearly.

The pangolin suddenly coiled itself into a ball mid-dash, it had entered its combat mode as it flew towards Vee at high speed.

Vee only smiled slightly at this as he bent his body a little before saying.

"Let's see if you can block this"

"Lightning punch!"

The lightning around Vee's right hand Instantly gathered around his fist and formed a five-meter huge lightning fist. At the same time, Vee dashed forward.

Boom!!!

The place where Vee was standing earlier instantly exploded, leaving behind a huge crater as the earth trembled. Vee traveled at a shocking speed that left a long trench in his wake as he arrived in front of the pangolin beast like a ghost.

Time seemed to have slowed down as arched his elbow back before punching at the scales of the pangolin beast with full force, a blinding flash of white light seemed to appear briefly the moment Vee's fist met with the scale of the beast, time seemed to have frozen.

"Crap"

Vee cursed as a miserable blood-curdling shriek sounded from the beast, at the same time.
