66 First Day In School

"Amaya,  hey Aya! Answer me.  Are you still there?  Aya!"  Marx was anxiously shouting on his phone.  He panicked when he saw Amaya jerked to the side of the car, then she screamed, then there was the screeching sound of the tires when the break was hastily applied, and then the screen turned black.

Marx got off from the bed.  The hand that was holding the cellphone trembled.  He was pacing back and forth as he kept repeating Amaya's name over and over again.

His heart constricted and he felt like it would jump out of his chest.

"Aya, are you there?  Common pick up the phone.  Aya! Dammit!"

"Princess, are you alright?  I am sorry, it is all my fault.  I did not see the the intent of the driver behind us that he wanted to overtake."

"I am fine."

Marx heaved a sigh of relief when he heard the faint conversation at the other side of the globe through the phone.  He dared not hung up and waited for Amaya.
