4 Gaining And Losing

(Five Months Later)

It had been five months since Izuku had started training with Stain. He had learned a lot about the dynamics of fighting and how to fight in many different situations. Stain had been a great teacher, albeit harsh with his methods, although Izuku had almost died many times he had also gained many rewards from this type of training. His body was nearly perfect, not in the same way as a bodybuilder, more like an athlete's body, slim and brimming with power. He was a skilled fighter and was also, at this point, a great inventor. He had created many different gears, but most of them had broken from the many fights he had used them in. The only ones that he had left were the dagger and his original gauntlet, no thanks to Stain.

Izuku had decided to go on his vigilante patrol. Ever since his second month of training, he had done this. He would jump from building to building, looking to see any crimes committed. Of course, Izuku didn't want there to be crimes, but he had become a realist since the All Might incident, and he knew that there would be no end to crimes.

Izuku was on his patrol watching out for any crimes when he saw a boy with light purple hair and one big horn on his forehead. The boy was crying, no begging for anyone to help him, but everyone seemed to disregard him as if he was not even there. Some would look away while others would grit their teeth at their weakness. Izuku was angry, very angry. Everyone sat back and watched as the boy was being dragged away by the man with a mask. Although everyone else could pretend that nothing happened, Izuku couldn't. He just couldn't. He knew what it felt like to be weak, afraid, and helpless. In the past, nobody helped him. He had to help himself, but he didn't want that for others.

Izuku sprang into action, jumping down the building with his gears helping him to land safely. He punched the man that was dragging the boy in the face causing the man to drop the boy. He quickly picked up the boy and rushed away. He knew that if there was to be a fight, the boy could get injured. The looks of fear everyone next to the man had shown caused for Izuku to evaluate that this man was dangerous. Izuku was running as fast as he could, but the man was starting to catch up. The man tapped the ground, and pikes came out and stabbed Izuku. He was bleeding. Izuku groaned but kept running. His drive to save the boy overshadowed his pain. Izuku quickly thought up a plan to escape. He made the biggest explosion his glove could create, causing him to smoke everywhere, allowing him to disappear. Izuku quickly left with the boy towards the direction of his hideout at Dagobah beach.

Izuku had finally gotten to his hideout. There he found Stain waiting for him. Stain saw the state Izuku was in and got angry.

"What happened," Stain demanded.

"A strong villain attacked me," Izuku said in a hushed voice, not wanting Stain to be disappointed at his weakness.

"Where is he?!!" Stain demanded, "I'll kill him."

"I don't kill," Izuku said.

"But I do," Stain said.

"Please stop this, Stain. Stop killing. Not all heroes are fake. I did not want to bring this up until now because I thought you weren't serious about the whole killing heroes business, but I see that you weren't. Please stop it. I respect you as a sensei so that we don't have to fight." Izuku said wholeheartedly. He knew that the path his teacher was on would only destroy him in the long run.

"I am sorry, Izuku, but I have a mission to purge the world of fake heroes," Stain said.

"I guess we have to fight," Izuku said in a sad voice. This man was his teacher. A hero in his heart, yet he had to fight him. The irony.

Izuku pulled out a sword. It was a project that he was working on to make him more like his teacher. The sword was almost identical to Stain's but with a difference. It had a skill. The skill was that the more slashes he made, the stronger the blade became. The only problem with it was that after ten slashes, it reset.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Stain asked, hoping that his student wouldn't do this. He prayed he wouldn't do it.

"Yes," Izuku said.

They looked at each other for a while, hoping that this was just a dream, but their hearts knew it wasn't. Izuku quickly took the boy in his hands into his makeshift hideout, pulled out his sword, and attacked. He slashed down with his sword for the first time striking Stain. Stain blocked with his sword and kicked Izuku in the stomach. Izuku used to the pain of the attack continued to attack, slashing with double the power of his first slash, causing Stain to move back a few steps. Stain smiled.

"At least he had done something right in this world," Stain thought.

Izuku kept on attacking with a barrage of swings. 3, 4, 5...10. He had finally gotten to the 10th swing. He slashed down with ten times the power of the first and managed to injure Stain, breaking some of his ribs, but Stain had been through worse while killing hero. He held in his feelings of pain and punched Izuku to the ground. Izuku stood up again and again, but Stain kept hitting him to the floor. The cycle kept on repeating until Stain knocked him out. Before he fully fainted, Stain whispered something.

"I only let you live because you can become a true hero," whispered Stain. A tear fell on Izuku's face as Stain walked away.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'1 hour later.'
"I see you've woken up," said a mysterious voice. It sounded young.
Izuku woke up to see himself in his hideout. He looked around and saw a boy. He suddenly remembered the events of yesterday and realized that this was the boy he saved.
"Hi, I'm Neri," said The Boy.
