unlimited vitality 1
It was easy to get the approval of the god to get into the transmigration department. It was easy for enough as he was one of the few people in the heavens who had been given the purest human badge. Reyne had also won other prizes especially the prominent ones in relation to the knowledge.
Reyne had transmigrated into an old medieval world this time and he had taken over the position of the son of a noble knight from a knighthood family. The person whose body he had taken over was the sole heir to the family and was well loved by all the members and well supported for to be the knight. His career towards knighthood was much better than many people and even though he was not the best he was also one of the leading ones in the younger generations of the kingdom.
The problem comes as the wind on a sunny day and the good luck is often not enough to shield against it. That poor child had been poisoned by assassins targeting the elite younger generations yet the only thing he begged of the angel when he had come to heaven was to let him return so as to protect his family. A family without heirs cannot flourish and his mother had passed away at his childbirth and hence his father could not have any more noble sons. Knowing he could not return to the world anymore and could not take care of his father and sister he requested the transmigration department to send someone valuable enough to take over his body and to become powerful and protect his family.
Time did not matter to the God and James' penance was answered. Reyne took over the task and he had appeared in this medieval world. He had full authority and he was ready to fulfil his only mission which was to protect his family. He was now James Redwood.
The memory of James had been transmitted to Reyne with the permission of James. The new James, whom is the man transmigrated onto the body of James shall henceforth be referred to as James. James looked out at the window and through them the castle grounds.
James decided to get ready to face the world. The power he had got was known as unlimited vitality, a variation of unlimited energy. The continent was special and filled with many knights. The inheritance of power was based on knighthood mostly and though wizards were seen they were not the mainstream power available to the people of the continent of Renandria. The knights were ordered on the basis of the strength and each star added to the knight meant ten times than the knight with one less star. The knights were able to control their own vitality and it acted as if it was an energy.James' father was a three-star knight and was an equivalent position to that of a viscount.
The military and the bureaucracy were separated due to frequent wars and hence the knights usually had their lands around the border. The family of Redwoods had reserves of poultry for the necessary meat to be provided for the soldiers.
James walked out of the room and went to his reserved privy chamber and cleaned himself up. He walked to the dining room and saw his father and sister sitting on the chairs having their meals. He smiled and sat on his usual place.
"The reserves of chicken are increasing and there is still a better demand for 2-star eggs." said Ser Redwood.
"wouldn't it be better to make more higher quality eggs", asked James.
The poultry was special ty[e raised known as vitality-chicken and usually their meat is filled with lot of energy which is useful for the soldiers. A two star chicken usually gives birth to two star eggs filled with a huge amount of vitality that nourished knight. The vitality-chicken were special such that eating too much food will be converted to vitality and when they have twenty times than the previous vitality concentrated will they be able to promote to the next level. They were a magical species created by ancient mages and spread around to increase the knights at that time, hence no matter how much vitality they acquired they were as weak as an ordinary chicken. They were special asexual beings and hence could keep on producing eggs.
"The demand of higher star eggs is still high but it is costlier to produce."
"I like 3- star eggs more." Leena spoke.
James smiled at his little sister remembering how he and her were eating a lot of higher quality food and body being filled with vitality. He could feel the power unlimited vitality working on his body and the vitality keeping on increasing and filling each and every one of his cells. Unlike the knights cultivation method of having to concentrate the vitality as a star in the heart of the knight his power of endless vitality has made it such that vitality spread all over his body. As the concentration of his body increases so does his strength.
James ate the food and went to his bedroom. He quickly wrote a letter to a friend from his memory of the past occupant of the body, Edward who had once invited him onto the frontlines. Afterwards he entered the study room of his father and waited for his father to finish his work, so as to not appear rude.
"What do you want James?" Ser Redwood stopped his work and asked.
"I have come of age and would like to go to a far of place for some enjoyment. I was planning to go to my good friend's place who had recently faced an invasion. There is nothing to worry about in terms of threat and hence you need not worry."
"Why do you want to do so? You can easily enjoy your life here."
"Father, besides leaving the house for things such as balls or parties, I haven't had much time to be alone and to understand myself and the world. It is a necessity."
Ser Redwood sighed and said, "Fine, if you really want that I shall send a letter to Lord Potts. You can leave for sword practice."
James was practicing his sword with his four friends who were the children of knights under the servitude of house Redwood. Since he had learned a lot of swordsmanship in the Kingdom of God it was easier for him to fight against them and the endless vitality was an added benefit. After the last slash the practice had ended. James walked away from them after exchanging a few pleasantries he returned to his room. He took a yellow egg from his hand and kept on injecting vitality into the egg. The egg changed from yellow to green after some time.
James smiled and thought that since the vitality chicken was a magical chicken and the egg was also its product it did not follow the laws of nature. The Egg could be incremented in rank with the addition of vitality and it was well enough.
James slept until it was knight. He had informed his father not to prepare dinner for him. He went to the bedroom of his sister and saw her sleeping soundly. He slowly began to introduce his vitality into her body and her body's aura began to rise slowly. James kept on introducing the vitality till she could bear.
James returned to his room and began planning for his future actions. The night slowly began to fade away with the passage of time and the day came into being. James went to his father to know about the response from Lord Potts. The lords of the kingdom had powerful eagles and their territories were near each other.
Ser Redwood smiled seeing his son with anxious look and smiled at his son. He said," Lord Potts allowed to foster you for some period of time. You can stay there for long enough till you decide to return."
James thanked his father and returned to prepare for leaving the place.
A white horse was riding on the way towards the territory of Lord Potts. It had been four days since he had been riding the horse for to move towards his friend. He could see the traces of the castle and was happy to get away from the godforsaken travel.
Edward was happy to see that his friend was coming to stay with him. It was always what he wanted to see since his elder sister and younger sister always kept on pestering him. Many time he had asked James for help and all times were he rejected. He did not think any further until his mother informed him of friend coming to stay with them. Now he was sure that his life was going to get better and there were no other thing than to prepare for his friend's arrival.
