overall this story was an interesting read, to say the least. Every bit of the book kept me enthralled wondering what would happen next, although some bits can get a bit confusing, such as trying to keep track of all the ongoing's of the palace.

I am in love with this book... And I can't wait for more... Feng Mian and Junli are a breath of fresh air in this genre. The former is a naive carefree dolt typical of the Male Best Friend trope now personified in a female while the latter is an asexual looks-narcisssist academic who seemed to like the naive fool.... I really can't wait for more...
