13 A Warm Dinner

After cooking,

Chen Yu sat down on the sofa to rest. During their work, Chen Yu observed Chen Mo for quite some time. This guy was clumsy, but he worked diligently.

This was probably not the first time he helped someone to do the work, he also did the same for Wen Yue as well. But Chen Yu knew it was not the time to sulk over little things like this.

'I still need to look around to learn about this city, then I could meet with the people I need most to work with,' Chen Yu started to plan her to-do list.

Not long After they cooked dinner, everyone else came back from outside. Chen Yu served dinner with her Mom and ate with everyone .

"Ah… As expected, Yu'ers cooking is the best!" Father Chen didn't forget to compliment her.

"Hmph… What do you know? Today, when I brought the lunchbox with me, the whole office was full of fragrant. Even my boss was asking where I got the money to buy such high class food. I told him that this lunchbox was prepared by Yu'er. He didn't want to believe this!"

"Everyone was praising Yu'er so much. I felt so happy to have such a blessed daughter," Mother Chen was not able to hide her excitement as she talked.

All the brothers glanced at each other, exchanging words with their eye communication. All of them truly got so much attention during lunch time. Chen Ying seemed to be in a really good mood today.

His rare sight of a smile was seen by everyone. Chen Li wasn't able to hold in his excitement when he saw Chen Ying smile.

"Oh my god! Ying actually smiled. Brothers, look at him, he's smiling!" Chen Li screamed pointing at Chen Ying.

Everyone's attention went towards Chen Ying immediately. But his face was already back to its paralyzed state. He was quick in gaining composure. But when his eyes met with Chen Yu's eyes, a 'Know- it- all' wicked smile appeared on her face.

"You should smile more often. You look good when you smile," Chen Yu complimented him.

Her praise was actually true. Chen Ying was already very handsome, and when he smiled, two dimples appeared on his face, which made him look even more cute.

Chen Ying already knew in the teasing tone of Chen Yu, she saw him smiling like a little fool just now!

Agh! Why did I do that?

His face went crimson red in shame, so he covered his burning face with both hands. But he felt really happy, because Chen Yu's compliment was genuine, not some empty words.

This made others to look at him with jealousy!

"He he , it's alright. No need to be shy. Let's start eating," Chen Yu saved him from the embarrassing situation. Because the other big kids were teasing him.

But Chen Mo felt that he was at a disadvantage. He didn't go to University, but he also wanted to brag about his little sister.

After dinner all the work was done by Chen Yu. So Father and Mother Chen went back to their room to rest.

The brothers were also back in their room. So Chen Yu finally had the time for herself now. She started to browse the net to search about some things related to her work in the nearby area.

Chen Xi was extremely satisfied in the class today. So as soon as they went back to their room. He started to tell them what happened in his school.

Chen Xi went to Jindu Senior High School, this school was famous for creating good students in this town. So everyone in this neighborhood sent their children to this school until they got into a University. All of the Chen Brothers studied at this school. Naturally, Chen Xi was also sent to this school.

All of them were well known in this school for their cheerful nature and outstanding results. But Chen Xi's situation was a little different. He had an introverted personality along with a bad temper, so he always kept quiet wherever he went. In school, he was the type of person to get bullied easily because of his temperament.

Because of his brother's influence, his classmates didn't dare to bully him openly. So they did it secretly. Whatever they did before, he turned an blind eye on this matter. But today, for the first time, he felt like striking back at them.

They wanted to steal the food made by his sister. He didn't know why, but he felt an indescribable attachment with this box. Perhaps, it was because the tiffin box was prepared for him carefully, it was filled with sincerity and affection. Even Wen Yue never made any tiffin for him.

He always packed his own tiffin box with leftovers at home before going to school. But now, there was someone to make and pack a tiffin box for him. Even if it was a mere tiffin box, it meant a lot for him.

This was also the first time everyone saw his bloody eyes like this, this experience made them terrified to the point that afterwards, they slowly stopped bothering him.

Chen Xi felt proud after saving his tiffin box, but of course he will never say this to his brothers. This incident will be his little secret.

But this incident has bothered someone else as well…

"Brother, where is my math book? I can't find it. It was on the top of the desk today before I left ," Chen Ying asked Chen Mo, because he was the only one in the room after they left.

"Yu'er took it. She will participate in this year's Science Olympiad. Come to think of it, Did you register for the Olympiad as well, Xi Xi ?" Chen Mo furrowed his brow while thinking.

"I did .I always participated there," Chen Xi replied to him with a calm voice.

"Then that's good, you can take care of Yu'er when you are there," Chen Li said in a happy voice.

All the Chen brothers have gone in every type of competition since a little age. They were well versed in those fields. And now with their previous life experience, they were more invincible.

But Chen Xi narrowed his eyes, seemingly dissatisfied with something he remembered just now.

"Brother, do you remember that radish? I have a feeling that he is going to bother Yu'er," Chen Xi finally brought up the topic.

"Did he also sign up?" Chen Mo was a little surprised to hear that.

Chen Xi nodded his head slightly.

"But he has nothing to do with Yu'er anymore," Chen Mo said while thinking about it.

"I know. But he is one annoying fly, today there was a commotion in the registration arena. I arrived late. So I wasn't able to see anything. But from what I heard was that Yu'er ran away after she saw Wen Yue together with him," Chen Xi was feeling a little down because of this incident.

"I know," Chen Xi said, and the entire room fell into silence, till the phone on Chen Ying's hand started to ring.

His expression changed as he fell completely silent after he looked at the screen.
