26 These Non-stop Nightmares.

They had to take a day off due to the passionate night they spent together. Fortunately, Xiao Feng liked to be independent and she always prepared herself for the base elementary school. She did not know what happened last night but she knew the two geges were always tired and busy.

Changming was laying comfortably on top of Zhong Guang, it had always been his favorite position. His eyes were swollen from the suppressed cry last night. If not for his awakened body, he might have crossed through death door.

"Who was Jian-ge?" Zhong Guang twirled the soft hair of the youth on his chest.

"... It was no one." Changming did not want to brew jealousy between his man and his man. For the man who did not know that he had transmigrated, it was best for them to just live this life like this. Before hearing more of his husband's jealousy, he asked about his scars and if he wanted to treat them.

It was as if last night was not enough, they fooled around for one more hour before finally taking a shower.

When Xiao Feng arrived home, she was surprised to see Zhong Guang without his mask but she knew tact and did not say anything. Xiao Feng continued to play with him like normal. The male lead really love this pair of siblings, he was determined to protect and cherish them forever.

After confirming their feelings, Changming moved into Zhong Guang's bedroom effectively. As two people were in love, they were passionate almost every night. However, recently, Changming kept waking up in the middle of the night in cold sweats.

"Baby, are you ok? You've been like this for several nights now. Is it anemia?" Zhong Guang let Changming lean on his chest as he used a towel to dry the pale face and neck.

"I'm not sure. I keep feeling this uneasy feeling but I can't tell what it is."

He had been feeling more anxious for the past few days, it was as if some calamity was coming his way and he would be in the center of it. It only appeared at night before but now this uneasiness surfaced during the day too. He just buried his face into the sturdy chest, the scent of Zhong Guang helped him relax. They went back to sleep after a change of clothes.

Maybe the leisure days had caught him off-guard as there was an important plot point that he had pushed away in his head, the zombie emperor! Agh, he was so into being lovey-dovey with Zhong Guang that he was about to mess up big time!

The zombie emperor was the most evolved zombie of them all. It could control every zombie there was with enhanced physical ability. Its skin was tougher than normal zombies so it was hard to kill even with his blood bullets.

In the original plot, the zombie emperor marched toward the South base from all the way in the North. It was lured there because of Changming's blood! It determined that Changming was its natural enemy and he was too dangerous to be left alive. Who would have thought that before it could kill him, he was already dead? Then the male lead became its new enemy due to his consumption of Changming's nucleus. It was a long fight as Zhong Guang had to force himself through a horde of zombies to finally approach the zombie emperor. He almost died in that fight and the plot almost had a bad ending.

Now that he was still alive, he could also feel the zombie emperor's movements. It was what kept him awake at night! This restless feeling persisted for a while which meant that the zombie emperor was coming soon. Changming immediately ran to the assault team quarter.

"Huh? Baby, why are you here?" Zhong Guang was unloading cargo from the truck when he noticed a running figure.

Changming rarely went outside of the apartment and the facility due to the fact that he was a homebody. He only went out to accompany Xiao Feng to play, meanwhile, Zhong Guang never forced him to do anything that he disliked.

"Ha, ha,... Guang-ge! We must inform the base! There is an evolved zombie coming here!" The shout was loud for anyone to hear and all of the people around had distorted expressions. They all knew who the shouting person was, he was valuable for the survival of humanity and the precious lover of the scariest man on the base.

"For you to panic like this, is it powerful?" He walked toward the panting Changming and grabbed his hands.

"Yes! It can control all the zombies in its vicinity, even other evolved zombies! That's why I couldn't sleep lately." Changming looked at Zhong Guang with worry as he squeezed the other's hands tightly.

Even though they only met for several months, the trust they had in each other was hard to describe. To Zhong Guang, he felt like he could even give his soul and life to Changming without complaints. So, there was no doubt about the news his beloved just announced to him.

Zhong Guang picked him up over his shoulder and dashed forward to the base executives. Even if they were skeptical, the scary man and the precious blood sample were not to be undermined. The base then frantically prepared for the upcoming zombie siege. The people were evacuated to the underground train station that was recently clear of zombies, the food supply had been stored carefully, and all the ability users were gathered and assigned to patrol for any strange movements outside the base wall. Xiao Feng was accompanied by Yang Huifang. Meanwhile, Changming stayed in the apartment with Zhong Guang.

Zhong Guang who was deep in his sleep felt a little weightless on his chest. He opened his eyes in a panic. His love who liked to sleep on top of him was nowhere to be found. His eyes darkened as he got out of bed and looked around the place. There was no sign of him. His heart almost stopped as he clutched his chest. His body heated up like he was about to explode, his power was spiraling out of control as he got down on his knees.

Then in that crazy eyes, he noticed a note. The crazy man stomped forward and grabbed it from the desk. His eyes were bloodshot as he read the content. He gritted and hissed through his teeth.

'Honey, don't worry. That zombie was looking for me, I will be back in a jiffy! I love you, just stay there and protect the base from other zombies.'
