Saving the Damshell in Distress!!!

Just when she was passing by the century old big banyan tree on campus, she heard a cry near the tree.

Some guys were circling around a girl who was sitting on the road and crying. Looks like they were bullying her.

Shen Xueran stopped her bicycle to hear what they were bullying the girl for.

'Heh, look at yourself. Now that your father has gone bankrupt, I'm sure you don't have money to pay for living or to give your tution fees. Why don't you come to my house and work as a maid? I'll give you money to feed you and your father,' the boy snickered as he spoke while the others were laughing when they heard this.

"It would be better if she works in a club, that sl*t has quite a good figure," another guy eyed her up to down.

The girl shrank in fear when she heard their words.

'Hmm… they are bullying her just because her father has gone bankrupt, what a childish way of thought. Looks like this is a dire situation, alright then. I'll help her just for once,' Shen Xueran sighed as she walked forward.

"May I know what you guys are doing here? It seems that the atmosphere is quite lively here," Shen Xueran said as she walked in front of them with both her hands in her pocket.

The air brushed past her head, and her silver hair shone in the sunlight was already the sign about who the person was. 

They were stunned to see him here all of a sudden. The guy chaser Shen Xueran wasn't the same as before, even if they weren't in the same class, they knew very well about the incident at the gym. So they didn't want to mess with him.

But today was an exception. Shen Xueran usually didn't interfere with things like this, because bullying weak students was something common in this school. That's why they were stunned when they saw him coming.

'Should we say hello?' The guys looked at each other in confusion of what to do.

"What are you guys waiting for? wanna have a fight with me? If not, then Scram!" Shen Xueran looked at them while making a fist, feeling annoyed.

'Forget saying hello, let's save our lives first.'

"We~we are living," they were a bit afraid of his fierce looking eyes. So they left the place in a hurry.

Shen Xueran waited until they completely disappeared from her sight. Then she looked back at the girl who was still sitting on the road.

"What, do I need to pick you up and give you a princess carry?" Shen Xueran asked her as she gave her a hand to help her up.

Feeling a little flustered and annoyed, the girl hesitated a little before she took his hand to get up. Shen Xueran handed the girl a handkerchief to wipe her face.

"Wipe your face, you look really ugly when you cry," Shen Xueran snickered funnily, this made the girl fall in a condition that she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"Thanks for the help just now, Classmate Shen. I'll try my best to repay you this favor," the girl finally smiled at her.

'How did she know me? Am I really that popular?' Shen Xueran was confused.

"You're the famous guy chaser Shen Xueran, how could anyone in this school not know that?" the girl smiled at him.

'Ha ha, That's right though,' Shen Xueran slapped herself in mind as she smiled. Her sudden smile made the girl fall in a daze. 

When Shen Xueran's eyes fell on the girl, she stopped for a moment. Then slowly nodded her head and left the place.

'That girl, isn't she Yu Minmin?' Shen Xueran was thinking as she walked.

Yu Minmin was a supporting character in the novel. After her father went bankrupt, he went mad.

Looking at her fathers condition, her uncles took the chance and chased father and daughter out of their home.

Homeless and poor Yu Minmin was bullied at school everyday. But despite every hardship she has gone through, she studied hard and finally succeeded.
