9 Vampire / 2.3&4 : The dark being

The ride back home was in silence. When they arrived they all got out of the car and got in. Duyun entered the living room, and he took a seat on the couch. Zhaoyi stood before her husband, she yelled with teary eyes:

"You dared! You hit our daughter for that bastard."

Duyun felt bad seeing his wife that way but he had no choice.

"What did you expect me to do? He is the holy Drasan whether we like it or not. If I didn't, we wouldn't have the opportunity to go to the imperial palace to control Emperor Supreme."

Yanyan asked between sobs:

"So you still want me to be Empress?"

Duyun stood up, and he took a seat next to her.

"Of course I do, the second you were born I knew you would be. Eden is the Drasan allowing us to be nearby Emperor Supreme, so you will be able to control him with the artifact necklace."

Yanyan hugged her father with a smile. She knows she went too far earlier but she was worried her father was okay with Eden being on the throne if it meant he would live in the imperial palace. She understands now that he was only acting and that he has a plan. If she has to pretend a few days then she's okay with that. Soon the Ocaithia Empire will be hers.

Duyun hugged her back, and he said:

"Go pack and bring your most beautiful robes."

Yanyan smiled and she ran to her room excited. When she was gone Duyun walked to Zhaoyi who was still standing and upset. He pulled her into his embrace.

"Sweetheart I had no choice you know that. Don't you want to see our daughter on the throne?"

"I do, but I hate that that bastard gets to live in the Imperial Palace. Our daughter should be the holy Drasan not him. It wasn't enough that his whore of a mother lived that long and now not only did Eden survive the arena, but he is the prophet and everyone worships him."

Duyun sighed.

"I know but don't worry once we're there he won't be alive long and it'll just be the family again. You know I never cared about his mother I only married her for her wealth and Eden means nothing to me either. Soon the whole empire will hate him for being a traitor and he'll die by the hand of Emperor supreme."

Zhaoyi smiled her eyes shining, she can't wait to see what her husband has in store for him. She knew she did the right thing seducing Duyun, he'll do anything for her, and all she has to do is shed a few tears. She kissed him and Duyun held onto her tighter. He pulled back.

"I'll do anything for you, you know that right?"

"I do sweetie."

"Let's go pack."

If he doesn't receive news from the Imperial palace tomorrow he'll go there himself. The Holy Charter says that the Drasan's family must be honored as well it's the law they can't refuse them. Eden should enjoy the peaceful days ahead because his life will quickly turn into a nightmare.

Eden looked at himself in the mirror. His long hair was cascading on his back and he had white robes on with gold embroidery. The jade pin on his hair matched his gold belt. He left with his butler a smile on his face. They walked the ridiculously large hall of the palace and got into the elevator. Eden feels grateful that even though they have to dress that way they don't reject new technologies. When he reached the first floor he walked out with his butler. The guards opened the doors of the dining room and he entered. The king, the queen, and Shenzhi were all seated around the table. Eden took a seat in front of the queen. He said with a smile:

"Hello."

They all smiled at him. The queen asked:

"Did you get some rest? I know how difficult the first night in an unfamiliar environment can be."

Eden looked at her. It's rare for him to meet a truly wonderful mother and not only to her sons. They are lucky that their parents are sweet and caring. He smiled.

"I did I slept better than I usually do at home."

It's true, once his mother passed away his father took everything in surplus and all the things left to him by his grandparents to sell even if he didn't need the money. He slept on a matrice and that's it.

The queen felt bad hearing that. From the way, his sister talked to him she could tell that he was isolated and that he probably didn't live in the best condition since his mother passed away. But that's okay now that he is here they'll take care of him.

The servers came and Eden looked at the food. He loves being in this universe since they still eat human food. They were all humans, to begin with, vampirism was like a virus. They have to drink blood but only in small quantities, two glasses a day is enough. Since everyone is a vampire they would feed on animals at first until they created a substitute able to sustain them. Eden looked at Shenzhi.

"Shen-ge can my family come tomorrow?"

Shenzhi felt complicated hearing that question. He can tell how horrible his family is. He's not only a wolf he's an Alpha who has a strong sense when it comes to people. But he wants Eden to be happy and if his family does then he has to allow them to come.

Honestly, he doesn't give a damn about the rule about honoring the Drasan's family. He's Emperor Supreme what he says goes. He likes Eden a lot he doesn't know why but he feels drawn to him and he has no intention of stopping himself. He's never cared about a partner or something other than ruling the empire but since Eden looked into his eyes before the battle it changed. The second their eyes met he was determined to have him whether anyone liked it or not. The fact that he is the Drasan makes it easier.

Even if he wasn't he would've made him is, he feels that he is his mate. So, of course, he wants him to be happy but if his family tries anything he'll kill them. He smiled.

"If that's what you want."

"Thank you Gege."

Hearing that Shenzhi smiled brighter, he likes it when he calls him that. After everything his family has been through, he didn't think he would come to like someone especially without him there but he does. Still, there's this part of him that feels guilty that he is happy, he wishes he was there.

Eden looked at Shenzhi who seemed sad. Speaking of which.

"Gege can I read the Holy Charter?"

Shenzhi woke up from his thoughts.

"Of course, I'll send someone to give you the key to the private library.

Eden nodded with a smile.

When he finished eating he immediately went to the library after getting the key. He read the part of the Holy Charter unavailable for the public. They are copies made and sold of the Holy Charter but it's incomplete. They are information regarding the Drasan kept secret to make sure that no one tries to pass themselves or their child has it. Eden needs the knowledge to know how to deal with a presence he felt since he entered the Imperial Palace. He always felt that the data of the universe he received was incomplete. Like how no one knows how goddess Chuicya dealt with god Xaekar and how she manage to sent him back to purgatory.

Also, he doesn't understand how in the original timeline Shenzhi's parents and the other Supremes could stand by and watch him destroy the empire. Shenzhi was indeed controlled but they weren't. If they felt that the decision he made only worsened the empire why didn't they try to stop him or incapacitate him? Even if Shenzhi is their son the king and queen are fair they would try to stop him but no they just stood there silently, that doesn't make any sense. They must've been under some influence, the whole purpose of the Supremes is to protect the empire and fight for what's right. After reading the Holy Charter Eden finally understood why the empire was doomed the second his father killed him.

Duyun got out of the car urgently. He walked to the living room thrilled. Zhaoyi stood up and she kissed him.

"How was work?"

Duyun answered excitedly.

"It doesn't matter I won't have to work another day of my life."

Yanyan asked just as excited:

"Are you saying what I think you're saying?'

"Yes, Emperor Supremes' assistant called and he said that someone will pick us up tomorrow to live in the Imperial Palace."

Zhaoyi and Yanyan squealed in happiness. Zhoayi felt that seducing Duyun was worth it now that she'll be on top of the world. She had started to lose hope in his words before but he came through. Duyun said his eyes flashing with determination:

"The Empire will be ours."

They all smiled.

Shenlong opened his eyes, all he could see was darkness. He opened the coffin and he sat up. He looked around confused. Goddess Chuicya said that he would wake when his salvation would be close to him but he is alone in the crypt. He closed his eyes and he felt a strong pull. He followed it and opened a chamber. He stood in front of a bed, the young man had his eyes closed the light still on. Is he my salvation? He stood in place when the man opened his eyes and he walked to him. He smiled at him, he didn't seem scared by the fact that a stranger entered his chambers.

"Hello, I'm Eden what's your name?"

Shenlong woke up from his stupor and he answered.

"I'm Shenlong."

Eden smiled.

"It's nice to meet you Shenlong."

Shenlong felt enchanted by that beautiful smile.

"You too Eden."

Eden took a step forward two of his fingers on his temple. Shenlong stood in place.

Eden smiled. He walked to the cabinet and he opened a drawer. He pulled out a vial and he walked to Shenlong again. He ordered:

"No matter what happens don't fight it or you will never be free of Xaekar."

Shenlong nodded. He's my reprieve. He felt nervous, he's been in slumber for so long and now he'll finally be free from that evil god who almost destroyed the world. He took a deep breath to calm himself. Eden opened the vial then he put a hand on his temple again.

"Dark being that feeds on you shall leave this human being."

Eden kept repeating that while Shenlong's body was trembling. His head snapped backward and a piercing scream came out of his mouth.

Shenzhi, the king, and the queen immediately flew to them. They looked at the scene wide-eyed. Not only was Shenlong screaming but a black ghoul was coming out of his mouth. The queen held her husband's hand tightly. Eden kept repeating:

"Dark being that feeds on you shall leave this human being."

Until a dark ghoul in the form of a man stood next to Shenlong. Shenlong fell on the floor and Shenzhi was about to run to him but he stopped when Eden ordered:

"Don't move."

Eden said looking at the ghoul:

"Blood that is binding, blood that seals keep this being from leaving."

The ghoul let out ear-piercing screams as he was sucked in the vial. When he was in Eden closed it and he tossed it in the fire. He took a few steps back when the vial exploded. He used Versem to make sure Xaekar was indeed gone for good before kneeling in front of Shenlong. He took his pulse. He bit his wrist and when blood started to pour he opened Shenlong's mouth feeding him. Shenlong started to wake up and he held onto Eden's wrist drinking the blood. When he felt his strength coming back he stopped. He sat up his eyes never leaving Eden.

Shenlong pulled Eden in his arms and he hugged him tightly. He whispered:

"Thank you."

Eden hugged him back with a smile. Shenlong pulled back looking at the doors. His eyes moistened and he went to hug his parents. The king and queen held their son tightly. After a hundred years they started to lose hope. But he is here safe and free from that monster Xaekar. Shenlong pulled back looking at them. The queen said with tears falling on her face.

"We missed you so much."

Shenlong wiped her tears.

"I missed you too."

The king put a hand on his shoulder with a smile his eyes shining with unshed tears. Shenlong smiled as well but when he turned and he met Shenzhi's eyes his smile disappeared. Shenzhi had been looking at him teary-eyed the whole time. Shenlong hugged him and Shenzhi hugged him back. Ever since they had to put Shenlong in slumber so Xaekar wouldn't cause more damages it has been a nightmare. He and Shenlong were like the same person. They would do everything together, they liked and hated the same thing. They managed the family company together too but one day out of nowhere his twin became someone else and he disappeared.

He created a plague and every human became a vampire. Everyone tried to impose their will on the other, it was survival of the fittest. Goddess Chuicya descend and she made him Supreme Emperor and named other Supremes. After luring Shenlong they put him in slumber. Goddess Chuicya said that she couldn't free Shenlong from Xaekar and that only the Drasan would be powerful enough to bring peace to the Empire and destroy Xaekar. They didn't think Eden would take care of it before they talked to him.

In the original timeline, Shenlong woke up when he felt that the Drasan's blood had been soiled, because of that Xaekar was able to take over Shenlong completely. He hid in the shadows polluting everyone's mind. This is why when Shenzhi made the most terrible decisions the Supremes stayed silent and the Empire turned into ashes. The only way Eden would've been able to gain this universe's power was if the empire wouldn't go down in flames so he took care of Xaekar first and now that he did he can focus on his family.

The queen walked to Eden and she immediately hugged him. Eden smiled and he hugged her back. She pulled back with a grateful smile.

"Thank you so much for freeing our son from that demon."

"No need to thank me it was my duty."

She smiled.

"How did you know how to free him?"

The twins and the king listened to him.

"Xaekar was in purgatory as punishment. Traveling to this world took a huge amount of his power, in the form of his godliness. This is why he needed a human body. Even if he plagued earth, he was still just a vampire. Albeit the most powerful because of the pain and hatred, he fed on while everyone was fighting. When the Supremes brought peace, he was a weakened vampire this is why Chuicya was able to put him under slumber. The Holy Charter says that the Drasan will be the most powerful vampire in history, and I figured it included Xaekar. As soon as he left Shenlong's body he was weak and with my blood, I was able to seal and destroy him."

By killing him Eden his family sentenced the empire.

They all looked at Eden stupefied, they were about to talk to him about Shenlong to see if he could help but Eden did it. Shenlong walked to him.

"Why weren't you scared of me?"

"Because I've been feeling your presence since I entered the palace. I knew you would come to see me, this is why I was prepared."

"I felt drawn to you like a moth to a flame. I felt Xaekar trying to take over my body, but my need to be near you was stronger. I had to see you."

He thought that it was because Eden was the Drasan but now he knows that that's not the case. Even with Xaekar gone he still feels the need to be close to him. Shenlong and Shenzhi smiled when they heard Eden say:

"I felt the same way, I felt this strong pull to you just like I did with Shenzhi."

He can't explain it but he feels drawn to the twins for some reason. They feel familiar even if he just met them which is weird because he likes being close to people even less after spending a lifetime with Chen. He started to feel this aversion to touch after he started to transmigrate in the multiverse.

The fact that he was being touched and being nice to people who wanted his death made him averse to their touch, but he had no choice since he was controlled by Versem. If he doesn't know if the person is good or bad he won't be able to stand their touch. This is why he was okay with the queen hugging him but not with the imperial physician since he doesn't know what kind of person he is. But with Shenzhi and Shenlong he wants to be close to them like he did with Chen. He didn't think after him he would want to be close to anyone else so it's surprising that he does.

The king and queen looked at their son who were smiling brightly. They looked at each other knowingly. Shenzhi took a step forward and he asked:

"Do you still feel it?"

They both looked at him expectantly. Eden shook his head with a smile, he looked at Shenlong.

"Get some rest. You still need rest even if you drank my blood."

His blood has always been the key to destroying Xaekar and saving Shenlong. The queen said:

"You'll stay with Shenzhi tonight, we'll prepare a room for you tomorrow."

Shenlong put his hand around Eden's shoulder.

"I'll stay with Eden."

The queen shook her head, here we go again. Before she could rebuke her son Eden said:

"It's fine the bed is big enough for five people."

Shenlong smiled. The king said:

"Let's go to bed it's late we'll speak tomorrow after breakfast."

The queen said before leaving with the king:

"Eden your family will be here by breakfast."

Eden got into bed after nodding to her, he sat in the middle and he tapped at his sides. The twins smiled and lay next to him after turning down the light. Eden felt Shenlong pulling him in his arms and he held onto him. A few seconds later he felt Shenzhi hugging him from behind. He smiled and soon he fell asleep comfortably.
