Quest Maker of Soul Land

Willingly dying at the hands of his only teacher to repay all his debt, Jason simultaneously plans his reincarnation and finds himself in the body of an 'evil' cultivator named Ja Sun wanted by one of the three strongest power of the Douluo Continent— Spirit Hall. But hope isn't lost. His trait from his previous life never left his side and now he will make missions in the Douluo Continent and live another life, this time, a life not owed to anybody. *** Note: I do not own the cover art. Timeline: The events of this fanfics take place eleven years before the start of the main novel. Of course, I do not own the Douluo Dalu universe. Since I am writing about the timeline never covered in the major timeline to completion, many things may be a part of the fanfiction but not mentioned in canon. *** Ps: After seeing a few complaints, I realized to add two warnings. The mc is definitely a trained fighter and not innocent since he can kill but he doesn't go around killing that much even when others love to do it. I know, it's strange since it's a cn novel but honestly we have enough men who love to cut roots. And, the character of the individuals from main novel will be slightly AU. For instance, Xiao Wu would only hug and keep chirping Ge, Ge. (Spoilers) The fem mc and others, well, I tried to put more personality, make their tongues sharper but it turned out AU. I accept that and realized that it needed to be mentioned, too. Hope you all enjoy the fanfic. *** Read 60 advance chapters and support the novel @ Patre on.com/Fanharem

Tying the Knot

With everything said and done, Tang Chen's appearance and disappearance were nothing more than an interesting note in what Ja Sun considered a grand affair. Even his grandchildren will most surely be bored and tired out of their minds for Ja Sun would constantly tell how he save their wedding and allowed them to subsequently be born... Even though Ja Sun wasn't a father, he had enough experience in his previous life that a good father's duty is to embarrass their children no matter the situation, and NOT conspire to have their lovers and children killed off for power...

Not cool, Teach.

And it would be a lie to call the preparations dreamy. Flowers, lavish food, 100000-year-old spirit beasts... to others, it may be a dream-like situation but to Ja Sun... to three of his eyes, there existed two captivating beings. Again, he would have to give a heartfelt thanks to the minx with the charm fox martial soul to design these dresses... but those who wore these dresses were of a whole different class.

The usual tradition of marriage in Qian Daoliu's ancestry wasn't all that different from the more prominent and widespread custom in his previous world. Have a father officiate the wedding with some ostentatiously romantic words and then a ring on their fingers before kissing with just some slight tweaks here and there. For instance, no best man or maid of honor.

"What?" Ah Yin and Bibi Dong smirked as they observed his reaction. After all, while Ja Sun did manage to mark himself as a dashing figure that was a picture of wildness given form and charm, the truth is that females always had a greater variety of outfits but the differences most of the time only lay in how the strips and strings of clothing worked around their bodies.

Qian Daoliu stood in front of them as Ja Sun still looked at Bibi Dong and Ah Yin while shaking his head slightly.

Ah Yin wore an emerald dress with golden frills and a deep neckline as the full-sleeved dress hugged her body tightly. The collar of the dress ran around the edges of her shoulder and kept her upper body somewhat exposed, not that Ja Sun minded in the least. After all, she had a reason to show off her empty and smooth white neck for a reason. A golden head chain with tiny emerald bolts adorned her sapphire hair as she let it down and in the middle, attached to the bridal head chain was a magnificent viridian emerald that seemed to give off the impression that she was just like Ja Sun with a third eye.

Bibi Dong was markedly conserved not because she wasn't as confident as Ah Yin but they aren't the same. Just because Ah Yin wants to show off what was to come didn't mean that she wanted to either. Instead, Bibi Dong wore a thin creamy gauze over the lower portion of her face. Her bubblegum-blonde hair was tied into a simple pigtail, after all, she didn't need an elaborate hairdo. Like Ah Yin, Bibi Dong wore a head chain but it was purely made of brilliant diamonds until the glimmering Amethyst in the middle. Her dress matched the amethyst as another piece lodged the collar of her full-sleeved cream dress with violet threads flowing down and forming an enchanting pattern.

Taking in the sight, Ja Sun finally let them know his true wonder, "I just can't figure out..."

"Figure out what?" Ah Yin smiled. She knew what was about to come... but she wanted to hear it explicitly nonetheless.

"Whether I should enjoy tearing the clothes that are part of that golden rings or... enjoy unwrapping you slowly. The end result won't change though... I think I'm raring to fulfill some other promises," he winked, not in the least bit shy. Not like he would be the one carrying some runts for nine months, right?

Bibi Dong rolled her eyes at him but couldn't help but anticipate what was to come for their future. Despite knowing the immediate one.

"Ehm," noticing the silent conversation but knowing better than to pry on it when two of the trio had already touched on divine intent if not surpassed him already, Qian Daoliu cleared his throat as his voice filled the region of the emerald lake. Everyone silently sat to witness the moment as the Angel Douluo began, "Destiny is often misunderstood. As cultivators, we aspire to break through every shackle— man or beast, but we forget that the conclusion of our life is perhaps not determined by the heavens in the first place but by our actions. Our fortunes, our misfortunes. Our growth, our stagnation. Our union and our separation. Maybe fate is an illusion and destiny is its trick."

He looked at everyone present and then looked at the happy couple while many gazes converged on them. Ah Yin couldn't help but recall fondly how Ja Sun had said something similar when they met. How the act of having free will is an illusion and their actions set their future so, in a way, no one really has free will. Daoliu's words felt like the other side of the same coin. A different but similar perspective.

Even Bibi Dong fell thoughtful. What may have had happened if her mother wasn't caught by her father and her master? Would she be here? Should she feel grateful for her success because she was born out of her mother's misfortune? Or should she feel sad?

Of everyone present, maybe Ja Yin is the only one who could critique such concepts due to her intimacy with the evil attribute destiny yet she found herself enamored by this human tradition. She had heard of it and found it senseless. Just mate, isn't that an expression of love and commitment? To raise a new generation. But... at this point, the dress she wore didn't feel so clingy three of her crimson gold eyes blinked as she watched them smiling at each other.

"Maybe, somewhere down the line, your actions created a wonderful incident. Maybe the heavens never wanted the three of you together but your actions most certainly did. Take solace in that. In times worse, remember your joyful ones. In moments of joy, never forget the complications and appreciate each other."

Qian Daoliu patted Ja Sun and smiled widely, "Ja Sun, nothing has made me happier and prouder than to see what little moments of your growth. It astounds me greatly, but I am more shocked that a man like you can actually have a wedding."

His smirk made others chuckle despite many feeling a little complicated seeing the trio up there.

"Yin, Dong'er," Daoliu turned to look at the duo, "He's a mess. But maybe, he's the least chaotic with you all. Maybe you have what it takes to handle him. Better use the ball and chain tonight."

Ja Sun's eyes lit up at the chains as the duo saw it clearly.

"But humor aside, the union of two Titled Doulous and one extreme Spirit Douluo at the cusp of reaching the next rank is often a cause of celebration. And today is no philosophical get-together. Today, Beastgod Douluo, do you swear on your very being to protect the honor of your wives? To love them as you do now forever? And to be loyal to their wishes?"

Ja Sun blinked. Did he just get his Douluo Title? Sweet.

Smiling, he took a deep breath and recalled everything. 'Honor? They don't need protecting so alright... love? I'm about to shower them in it soon enough... hehe. And loyal? I've got nerves of steel under Ja Yin's and Violet's training...'

"I swear," He nodded as the duo in front of him slightly gulped. He just felt so sincere at this moment... so honest.

"And... Blue Silver Goddess Douluo and the current generation of Supreme Pontiff, do the two of you swear to preserve your man's honor in situations that demand so? To not leave his side when he has nothing to offer and to be the pillars of his support when he falters?"

Ah Yin looked at Ja Sun seriously. She'd done it without saying so. She'd battled a tribulation already and she'd battle a hundred more. For better or worse... she truly fell for this crazy bastard as she smiled softly, her head tilting somewhat and her sapphire pupils felt glazed. She didn't know why but she had to fight back a tear and nod, "He deserves me more than anyone in this world... and I would stay with him until the end— whatever it may be. I swear on my life, we will be together from now."

Her words spurred Bibi Dong who, unlike her usual callous self finally found a tear sliding down her cheek. A brilliant smile touched her pillowy pink lips as she whispered, "Of many things I desired and still do, I never knew that I'd want you this much... and I am glad that we met. If it means being with you, every other desire of mine can be set aside. I swear on my very being, as long as you remain, I shall."

Qian Daoliu nodded and looked at Ja Sun, "Do you wish to give them a keepsake?"

This is equivalent to putting the rings on the fingers but the world of spirit masters is crazy and jewelry of such nature is usually spirit essence tools that have spatial storage but Ja Sun had something more 'normal' in mind. He wasn't about to give them more rings knowing that it would be useless and their choice of jewelry didn't conform to it either way.

Nodding, Ja Sun brought out two boxes from the inner pocket of his coat. Opening the longer one, he pulled out a pure silver-like chain with a tiny sapphire blue crystal within. Of many things Ja Sun had refined, this would perhaps be the most ordinary aside from the fact that it will never be destroyed.

Ah Yin's gaze lit up. She kept her top so wide open just for this. A necklace. She didn't feel any mighty spirit fluctuations from it but as Ja Sun's hand gently grazed past her neck and interlocked the necklace, Ah Yin couldn't help but lean her head up slightly as she closed her eyes and felt an intimate connection forming with the necklace. This necklace was similar to the Golden Wardrobe Rings and even if destroyed, Ah Yin will have the same necklace around her in a moment.

Smiling and stroking Yin's cheek, Ja Sun whispered, "I love you... so damn much."

Still keeping her eyes closed, Ah Yin smirked, "You better keep it that way... loveable freak."

Bibi Dong watched it and waited silently. There were many reasons she accepted being the 'second' but at this point, it didn't matter to her. If she had felt a tinge of envy before seeing Ja Sun and Ah Yin kiss, then now, Bibi Dong was happy at the sight. Ja Sun valued Ah Yin's opinion when forming other relationships and now he valued her own opinions, too.

And this was after the clear interest of Ja Sun within other women and that is something Bibi Dong's sensitive and pragmatic side found quite... appreciative. And it is because of Ah Yin's agreement that she herself is on this pavilion right now so Bibi Dong clapped gently and others followed soon loudly enough.

Satisfied with the temporary quenching of their thirst, Ah Yin pulled back and Ja Sun looked toward Bibi Dong. Opening the second box, Ja Sun took out another necklace. Its violet-gold length was adorned with tiny amethyst crystals with no singular emphasizing pendant like Yin's but it looked beautiful in itself and as he tied it around Bibi Dong's neck, Ja Sun's smile turned wider, "Bibi Dong... it sounds cheesy but would you marry me?"

"Idiot..." Bibi Dong smiled, "Now isn't the time for jokes!"

"I love you, Dong," Ja Sun leaned forward, hugging Bibi Dong as he pressed his lips against her while his divine intent continued, "So much."

Bibi Dong didn't have the strength to make comebacks at this point as she clutched Ja Sun tightly, with her eyes closed shut while tears flowed down continuously.

Even when she wasn't a Titled Douluo at the moment, even when she didn't have the whole world witnessing her marriage, and even when she didn't have any intimate elder giving her away... Bibi Dong felt so full and perfect that her heart was overwhelmed when it was stoic and collected as she planned to take over the continent!

The subsequent sound of clapping simply fell on her deaf ears as she enjoyed the sensation for as long as it lasted.
