A/N: I feel that it was a mistake to leave this fic alone for such a long time but then the other part of me feels it was the right decision else I may have discontinued it. Anyway, I'm back but due to my absence, my skills may have diminished and I hope to get comfortable around the cast I presented as I write.

Not only because of his lack of presence which oddly comforted everyone despite his wicked nature but also the fact that they were in a sudden war!

It needed to be known the pressure the Spirit Hall was facing was more than ever it has faced in its existence. Yes, the two Empires were fully allying themselves with Spirit City, and to the general populace, it was a good thing. But those at the higher level didn't have simple thoughts, period.

The Star Dou Great Forest provided raw meat, fruits, hides, and other natural resources, and the spirit rings almost inextinguishably. It was suddenly taken. These are the facts. But what did this leave other spirit masters with?

"On it," Ah Yin's reply was simple.

"Hmm, Erlong, I want you to accompany Xiao Jun and Oscar to the Star Luo Empire... hmm... challenge every delegation in the name of peaceful sparring and raise a ruckus. Reveal your maddening killing intent if you like but no killing. Oscar, Jun'er, the two of you will be taking care of her and seeing to it that you keep the Empire's main delegation team distracted. We probably need a week to get to the first phase... the quicker we reach, the better. I will be sending you a draft detailing where to go but I count on the two of you to deal with any unnecessary surprises."

The couple nodded and Erlong grinned.

Finally, Bibi Dong's stare landed on Hu Lana and Xie Xan, a wicked grin on her beautiful face, "Hu Lana... your mission may be the second most dangerous... I want you to use any methods that you and Xie Xan are comfortable with to pull the Emperor of the Heaven Dou Empire into a private room..."

Hu Lana raised her brows while Xie Xan didn't speak up just yet, fully knowing that things are never simple with Bibi Dong, "And Xan, you will be hiding in this ring. It can store living things for two hours without you losing your consciousness... remember, you have a child so your comfort is important, too. Hu Lana will leave alone in name with troops of men but you will be accompanying her. Once you get the Emperor into his private room, mind you... beat him up, strip him, and record him. I want that man's dignity in front of my desk in a week!

And since Xan, you will be the one beating him... your task of laying a hand on the emperor is the most dangerous. This is a task I trust only the two of you with... had Ka-ul been here, he would be the one picking it up... you understand what it means, don't you?"

While Xie Xan and Hu Lana certainly felt humored at first... by the end of it they felt completely serious. They looked up to that man... and the fact that Bibi Dong would only choose the two of them as a couple to replace him didn't mean they had his strength... it just meant they had HIS credibility together...
