244 The Silent Dissolver of the Abyss

Ah Yin soon realized the identities of the three spirit beasts. Well, technically, two of them. A spirit beast of this caliber is indeed rare but there have been many legends on various spirit beasts in the records of the Spirit Hall that Bibi Dong took her time in two years to teach most of them.

With the Ghost Lightning Condor dead, its body, core, and spirit bone looted with only his spirit ring dissipating after two hours, the three spirit beasts that remained happened to be— the Thunder-Winged Boar, Sky Volt Eel, and Discharge Eagle.

Ordinarily, a discharge eagle has a small beak and bluish sharp feathers that stuck outward as if in a perennial state of static yet this Discharge Eagle had stark yellow feathers with the palette mixed with black and its beak grew out akin to a sharp drill. All three beasts had the major attribute of Lightning but they also had other affinities similar to the Ghost Lightning Condor.

The Thunder-Winged Boar had a strange affinity with sound attack and its attack resembled Liu Erlong's current Infernal Dragon's Roar that causes a sound attack augmented by the ultimate fire where the affected surroundings catch on fire. Only in this case, the surroundings are filled with lightning energy that serves to stun the mind and body alongside damaging the nervous system of the affected living being itself.

The Sky Volt Eel is a prime predator that hides its dark greyish body in heavy clouds. The spirit beast itself is almost 70 meters long with a mind-numbing jaw strength. If Ah Yin is caught, she's a goner. If Ghost Lightning Condor was weak physically then among the remaining trio spirit beasts, the Sky Volt Eel excels in physical qualities.

Finally, the mutation of the Discharge Eagle, probably, a positive mutation, was still a mystery to Ah Yin. It could have the same skills as an original Discharge Eagle that is forming bolts of lightning from its wings yet unlike Ghost Lightning Condor, the lightning of a Discharge Eagle is to only destroy with its damage output pushed to the maximum.

The trio beasts were now cautious and kept a wary distance to keep a lookout yet Ah Yin had to consider her options.

The use of her domain alongside her seventh spirit skill is extremely taxing and only worked against Ghost Lightning Condor due to the mystery of her abilities and a lack of physical approach by the beast. But the remaining three didn't rely on safe approaches during a battle. If she does try the same tactic and manages to injure the beast, it's likely that she will be injured, too. Of course, using mist and the camouflage of her domain to hide while attacking was an option but this approach has its disadvantages, too. Firstly, the Dissolving Petals are 'heavy.' It takes a long time to set them and they don't move quickly.

After all, this wasn't an attack-type skill but a control-type skill. The only way to use this skill more effectively was to transfer the skill onto her domain and thus make her vines have the same attribute as the Dissolving Petals.

The moment she attacks one, the other two beasts will be notified and if they figure out her skill, then even camouflaging would be useless since these spirit beasts hold the strength to change the landscape itself.

Yet, Ah Yin wasn't overly worried. Indeed, the battle may be harsh but she wasn't restricted regarding time. She only needed the spirit bone of the Thunder Hell Prison Vine that was going to either turn into a human or take its tribulation and most likely fail.

So, she had enough time to level the playing field before starting her attack.

Over the week, the three beasts were perplexed and enraged at the hidden opponent as the entire mountain was soon covered with strands of beautiful Blue Silver Emperor.

Indeed.

Ah Yin may have multiple skills that have various restrictions but her simplest skill was also her greatest strength.

Her domain plus her first spirit skill growth and the fifth spirit skill enrichment soon turned the Sky Piercing Mountain into the Blue Silver Mountain. These vines were created from her own spirit energy for the first two days but soon Ah Yin managed to use these sparsely grown plants as a medium to extend her domain into the forest below.

And there was one thing everyone in her team did not doubt about.

She is nigh Invincible inside a forest and as expected, by discreetly absorbing the natural energy from her surroundings and using the Devil Bark's Left Foot spirit bone as an additional boost, Ah Yin managed to soon cover the entire landscape into a favorable field to display her full strength. Yet, even now, Ah Yin still hadn't governed the suppressive effect of her domain on other spirit beasts. Out of the remaining three spirit beast, Ah Yin wasn't sure who else had a domain.

It was a bit strange that the Ghost Lightning Condor hadn't used its domain but Ah Yin felt that it was related more towards how it didn't have enough time to display its full strength instead.

Now that Ah Yin could observe everything with the virtue of her domain, she began to plan her next moves. The only region where her blue silver variants failed to thrive was the peak of the mountain where a thin, purple bamboo shoot grew. It had a total of ten sections but it was clear that compared to the first nine sections, the tenth section was a bit short and each strike of lightning would seamlessly enter its body as if its a lightning rod instead. The entire bamboo shoot was less than 3 meters but Ah Yin could already feel something strange about this spirit beast and it wasn't the fact that this specific species managed to live beyond 50000 years or the equivalent cultivation.

Not paying attention to the strange feeling, however, Ah Yin began to focus on the pattern of the three spirit beasts.

They rarely moved from their destined locations. This fact didn't unnerve Ah Yin by the slightest. The distance between the trio spirit beast was quite large as they resided in the sky more so than the ground but this distance didn't amount to anything to the lightning-attributed spirit beasts.

This meant that if the other two spirit beasts are alerted, she needed to have enough obstructions to keep them busy while delivering a fatal blow to her target and these obstructions must be placed while keeping the remaining two spirit beasts in mind.

Still, the period of observation had already provided Ah Yin with a prime target.

Of the remaining three spirit beasts, the Thunder-Winged Boar was relatively easier to target because it is the only spirit beast that had to regularly return to the ground to rest for a while despite staying above the clouds for the majority of its time. Heck, the boar even slept up there yet the spirit beast wasn't light and needed to return every now and then.

*Snff*

*Crackle*

*Boom*

A giant, pitch-black boar with two pairs of equally dark-feathered wings suddenly landed on the peak of the mountain. Its wide, bell-like eyes cautiously observed the surroundings. It snorted softly yet the lightning emerged from its giant snot as it was attracted to the tiny Bamboo shoot in front of it and was instantly absorbed by the plant. Stomping its front hooves, the Boar caused bolts of lightning from its body to slash at the ground around the bamboo shoot as it, too, would get absorbed by the plant soon enough.

The boar finally slumped down, causing the mountain peak to shake slightly.

The dark clouds underneath the mountain peak revealed that the source of lightning constantly generated and lashing out at the Thunder Hell Prison Vine wasn't the layer of clouds that felt unending from the base of the mountain. Instead, the sky was clear up high. It was morning and the entire peak was alight by the early rays of sunlight. Yet, a small layer of cloud only covered the top of the mountain peak.

The cloud was strangely purple and the arcs of blue lightning were as thick as an average adult male. Sometimes, the snake-like coiling lightning would be even thicker. In fact, one could even see the cloud turning red from the corner as if affected by energy not known to this world.

As the lightning struck the Thunder Hell Prison Vine, the boar suddenly sucked in softly and a thin branch of lightning instantly shot in its direction and covered its body. Strangely, the lightning only made its fur and feathers more lustrous. The boar grew stronger just by experiencing that amount of lightning!

Ah Yin observed the small cloud with a grave expression.

She tried it— to block the lightning.

With her strongest skill, of course. Yet, these blue arcs of lightning almost threatened to pierce through the dissolving force of her Dissolving Petals skill.

Resolving to not accidentally get involved in the matters of the Thunder Vine until it succeeds in its metamorphosis, Ah Yin prepared for her attack.

She needed everything to be perfect because if this failed, her work would only increase.

---

After five hours of rest, the boar woke up once again. It suddenly shot out arcs of lightning all around him like a pool of liquid electricity spilled out of his body.

The coverage was small under the boar's control but anyone with experience would instantly realize that this pool of electricity was, in fact, a domain. The inspection lasted for a few seconds and soon ended.

However, the moment it stood up, the boar felt crisis for his life!

Yet, it was too late.

A giant vine tore from the underground seamlessly as if it devoured its surrounding. It was as thick as the boar's head and passed through its neck in an instant!

*Crackle*

*Kaaaaaaa*

*Sssssssss*

Two screeches sounded instantly.

The Discharge Eagle and the Sky Volt Eel!

The two spirit beasts were even faster than Ah Yin's expectations. The boar wasn't even dead as it revealed the outstanding vitality within the ranks of 100000-year-old beasts yet multiple vines colored white and black pierced into its body.

The two spirit beasts, however, came to a stop as multiple puncture wounds appeared around their body.

*Weng*

Just as the body of the boar disappeared, the repulsive forcefield caused a slight disruption to Ah Yin's domain.

*Boom*

Her ears rung as she fell onto the ground.

She didn't even feel any pain yet she knew she had to leave as quickly as possible.

While Ah Yin thought that the forcefield repelled every being and everything aside from the killer of the spirit beast, the Discharge Eagle's blue eyes crackled with lightning and the fearsome cloud that irrigated the thunder vine with lightning suddenly struck towards Ah Yin, easily bypassing the forcefield.

Gritting her teeth, Ah Yin had herself dug into the ground while forced to endure another strike. Her body was charred at this point yet she didn't dare stop.

"Damn it!"

The eel finally cussed loudly. Yet, as he moved, his body felt the pain of getting stabbed once again.

The Eel's situation was perilous due to its large body as the calm voice echoed from the Discharge Eagle.

"Don't move," he commented as he flapped his wing. Bloody marks appeared all over him in an instant yet lightning crackled around his body and the wounds were gone.

Not paying any attention to his wounds, the Eagle then continued to send out small arcs of lightning and then began to note changes as a thoughtful expression flickered in his eyes.

"I'm going to kill that tree!" Sky Volt Eel scowled and then glanced towards the Eagle, "Are you done?"

"You're free to move."

The Eagle nodded but the moment the Sky Volt Eel moved, more wounds appeared on his body.

*Sssssss*

The eel's body let our whistling screech as it turned back to face the Eagle furiously. Why would he say it's alright to move?!

"You're free to move, and now, I'm free to kill you," the Discharge Eagle's eyes turned red as it strangely turned into a bolt of lightning before stabbing into the head of the eel.

---

'Damn,' Ah Yin, who was metaphorically licking her wounds scowled observing all of this. The Eagle actually devoured the eel whole, not leaving any corpse at all!

First, she took out the boar and also injured the two spirit beasts in the process yet it was clear that of the two, the Discharge Eagle was in a class of its own. The beast could not only control the cloud that struck heavier bolts of lightning but also turned into lightning itself. This was definitely not the skills of an ordinary Discharge Eagle.

'But unlike what I thought, the four beasts never may have been a collective group. The fact that the Eagle only attacked now meant that the Eel had its entire focus on me... and the boar was dead, making it so that no one else could strike the Eagle while it attacked the eel...

But what are its skills...' Ah Yin narrowed her eyes.

"Come out. If you decide to leave now, I won't harm you. However, if you try to attack me, I won't leave you with a pretty corpse." The cold tone of the Discharge Eagle spread out as Ah Yin remained silent.

Seeing that there was no reply, the Eagle scoffed and spread out its wings with a loud screech. Thin bolts of lightning began to branch out and spread further as it began to cover the peak of the mountain. There were still some spots that disappeared out of nowhere due to the leftover Dissolving Petals yet the lightning was quickly supplemented to form a net-like pattern.

The beast then silently flew up and hid within the small portion of the cloud.

Ah Yin sighed seeing this.

She understood the beast's intentions. The next time she tries to come out of the mountain to form Dissolving Petals, she would be found in a moment. Of course, there was also the choice to move out from a different direction but who could say that the Eagle wasn't baiting her to do just that.

Although she had gained two spirit bones, Ah Yin wasn't willing to leave after reaching this close to the target.

The only thing that obstructed her way to gain another plant-based spirit bone was this mutated Discharge Eagle and Ah Yin had every intention to destroy it. After all, the act of killing the boar made it convenient for the eagle to kill the eel.

Yet, the death of the eel made it easier for Ah Yin to only target the eagle.

However...

A charred scent filled the small cave as Ah Yin bit her lips. Just the two strikes of lightning ended her. She was caught off-guard but next time she felt necessary to constantly absorb the strength from the forest. After all, the Eagle seemed to be able to recover from lightning itself and grow stronger within the cloud. In some ways, the Eagle was similar to her in abilities but its strength was definitely higher.
