Chapter 58

Silva - Lordlake Doctor

I smile a little when I hear the people of Lordlake cheering at the screen in front of them. With this victory, Jacob managed to get into the quarter-final. The man who gives us hope wins the fight that can decide our fate.

I know the others did not mind if he lost the fight, but deep down, they hoped Jacob would win the fight and help them get out of this problem.

Jacob is the one helping them in their time of need, and he is the one healing them and making sure they can see the other day. I may have pride as a doctor, but I know that there is something that only a healer can do to save someone's life.

As a doctor, I want to tell him that he should quit the Sacred Games as he has a chance of getting killed in that tournament. Hell, there are already two people dying in the arena. There is a reason why the noble did not want to participate in the tournament and only used a proxy system.

They could die, and they are afraid of dying.

I don't want a bright man like him to die in this tournament. He has a talent for medicine and healing art. With enough time and resources, I know he can be both a great doctor and a healer. As a doctor, I want to see this seed grow into a mighty tree.

However, like the rest of Lordlake citizens, I want him to win. I was and am still a citizen of Lordlake. I want my home to flourishing once again. I want to see Lordlake filled with trees and glistening water running around Lordlake.

I want to see the children running around with a smile on their faces. I want this place to get back to its glory days.

"Hah. Never in my day saw the grumpy old Silva smiling like that."

I look to my left and see Talgeyl smiling with two glasses of water in his hand. I take the glass of water in his hand and drink it.

"Hmph. Of course, I'm smiling. If he wins, Lordlake will have a bright future. Also, don't tell me that when you are also smiling from ear to ear, Talgeyl."

"Hahahahaha. I guess you are right."

Talgeyl looks at the screen and smiles even brighter. Heh. You never know when your small help can get you massive support. When I said that the people of Lordlake would rebel if something happened to him, I was telling the truth.

Jacob is our family, and we will always protect our family. That is the Tenet of Lordlake's people.

Raja - Admiral of Raftfleet

"Woooo!"

"Yeah! Cheer for our boy Jacob!"

I smile a little as Lun and Logg cheer at the fight between Jacob and his opponent. I'm proud to see that my teaching has not gone to waste. His opponent is tough with the speed that can be compared to him and the instinct to see the incoming attack.

However, Jacob managed to use his swordplay not to let his opponent make a move. He executes the Endless Wave flawlessly and makes sure to lock his opponent's movement to follow his rhythm.

When that happens, it only takes a few minutes for the man to get defeated by Jacob. If not for his armor, he would have already been defeated two minutes ago.

"Your wine, ma'am."

I smile at Kisara and say.

"Thanks, Kisara. You also need to celebrate, you know? He is also your student. He will fight tomorrow in the quarter-final."

"Oh, I will. I will celebrate, all right."

I can see Kisara look at Logg with a smile on her face, a predatory smile.

I don't know who is luckier, Kisara or Logg. Logg is lucky to have a competent wife like Kisara, or Kisara is lucky to have a husband with the biggest dick in Raftfleet.

In his younger days, Logg was a loyal customer of a brothel in Raftfleet. The same brothel that I own and use as a spy network. My ladies told me how Logg has the biggest dick they ever encounter to this day.

I shake my head, remove that kind of thinking, and look at the screen.

I raise my glass and give my student a toast for his victory and a blessing for his upcoming fight. He really needs it.

Freyjadour Falena - Prince of Falena Queendom

Aunt Sialeeds, Lyon, Georg, and I walk to the city. While this place is not as welcoming as Sol-Falena, it was still fascinating to see around the former capital of our Queendom.

While walking around the city center, I see a familiar face.

"Jacob!"

The man looked at us and smiled. He walks toward us and says.

"Frey, Sialeeds and Lyon! How are you guys doing?"

"We are doing fine, Jacob."

I sigh a little when aunty Sialeeds greet him. I want to greet him this time and ask him how he is doing. But, well, I cannot blame her. I can see it in her, the shine inside her eyes. This is the first time she can talk to someone who does not want to use her or look at her as if she is an idiot for releasing her claim to the throne.

Jacob never sees her as anything but an equal. He is polite, kind and willing to listen to her complaining. I'm happy for my aunt, who finally found someone to whom she can talk.

I shake my head and say.

"Where are you going, Jacob?"

"Hmmm? Well, I want to eat something. Do you guys want to come? I hear the inn nearby has a great stew."

"Of course! What do you guys think?"

I look at my companion and see them nodding their heads in agreement. We walk toward the nearby tavern and inn, and when we step inside the building, we can see many people inside the tavern.

Jacob talks to a young woman serving the food to the table and walks back to where we sit.

"So, what's up? It's been what? A few days?"

I nod my head and say.

"Yeah. It's been a few days. As for how we are? We are doing fine, Jacob."

"Frey over here wants to see you and congratulate you, you know?"

I glare at my aunt as she continues to talk.

"After the fight, he cannot help but talk about how powerful you are and how you have been teaching him the basics of swordsmanship."

I blush a little and give my aunt a harder glare. I can hear Jacob burst into laughter and say.

"Thank you, Frey. You did not need to worry. You will become as powerful and maybe even more powerful than me in the future."

My eyes lit up when he said that.

"Really?"

"Yes. Truthfully, you have a great understanding of swords and you have the talent for it."

"Then!"

"However! Your Bojutsu is even more impressive."

"Bojutsu? What is that?"

"It was a staff technique."

I look at Georg, who nods his head at Jacob's words.

"It was the name the northern use for any staff-related fighting style. Anyway, Jacob here is correct. Your talent in Bojutsu is even more impressive than any other, my prince."

"Really?"

"Aye. Even Ferid is impressed at your talent."

"I thought he said that just because I'm his son."

"No. Ferid never praises someone in martial arts unless they reach certain criteria inside his mind. You have a talent that surpasses many others, don't beat yourself, my prince."

I smile a little at the praise. I guess I can practice more using my staff.

"Clap! Clap! Oi! We are here to talk about Jacob. Frey Frey, you don't need to focus on many kinds of things! Focus on one thing and master it! Georg! I don't want to talk about training on this fine day. Lastly! Jacob! Tell me about your fight."

Jacob smiles at her and starts to tell us about his fight in the Sacred Games. I like this kind of life. A simple and honest life. I guess I understand why aunty Sialeeds likes him. Being seen as who you are is something I really need.

I don't want to be seen as the prince and tool for politics. I want to be seen as myself. I want to be seen as Frejadour.
