33 Chapter 33

|3rd POV|

The student and the professor can see that something is happening to their DADA professor. Every sunset, they can see him looking out at a distance from the window in the corridor of the castle.

In their eyes, Jacob looks really sad, but in reality, he is worried about his mission and how he misses the Suikoden world. He wants to meet Jeane once more.

While looking at the sunset, he looks at the quest next to him and sees that it is time. It is time for him to face the main quest.

"The time has come. The time where I die. It has been fun but I guess it is time to go."

Jacob mutters that word but does not know that Filius and a few Ravenclaw students heard his words. Before Filius could ask Jacob about it, he had already walked out of Hogwarts. The system is already telling him to prepare and welcome the enemy.

Jacob walks toward the entrance and waits for the enemy to come. But unfortunately, he didn't see that he had been followed and only noticed when Filius decided to ask him a question.

"Gilderoy, is there a problem?"

"Hmmm? What do you mean?"

"I hear you murmuring in the corridor… Is there something wrong?"

Jacob looks at Filius for a few seconds before deciding that he will bullshiting as this is his last day in this world.

"The stars… They are showing me my doom."

"What?"

"The wind is blowing but it carries a sense of darkness. An old enemy will rise once more and will cause terror just like a hurricance if no one stoping it."

"What? What do you mean? Since when are you a seer?!"

Jacob holds back from laughing at the sight of Filius getting frustrated by his sudden Seer speech. However, before he could say more, Jacob could see the countdown appear in front of him. Voldemort and his army will arrive in a minute.

"Filius, do me a favor and inform Albus to activate the war wards around Hogwarts."

"What?! Why?!"

"Voldemort and his men have arrived. They will attack Hogwarts in less than a minute. Go hurry. Please trust me."

Filius quickly runs toward the castle without wasting any more seconds, ready to inform Albus about Voldemort and his crew coming.

Just as the countdown is about to reach zero, a group of reporters appears near the entrance of Hogwarts. They come here after they get a leak from one of the students that Jacob is standing outside the school alone, and it will be their chance to have a quick interview.

"Mister Gilderoy! Mister Gilderoy! Can you give us a quick interview?!"

Before Jacob could warn them, a massive smoke appeared in the sky, and it changed shape into something that many wizarding citizens fear. The smoke in the sky changes into a skull with a snake coming out of the skull. The smoke shines in sickly green color, making the pale reporter even pale at the sight in front of them.

"Go! Get inside the castle!"

At his order, the reporter quickly runs toward the castle, and just in time, a barrier appears behind him. The barrier is a semi-transparent blue that blocks anyone who tries to get inside. He touched the barrier with his hand and smiled a little. He was relieved that his fight would not be disturbed.

He takes out his sword and wand and then looks at the forest where a massive army of giant spiders and other dark creatures walk out. Leading them is a group of men and women wearing a Death Eater's mask.

Walking in the very front is an ugly creature. Unfortunately, even with the power of the Philosopher's Stone, Voldemort cannot restore his body to the original state and instead still have the same body as the one in the canon timeline where he gets resurrected using Harry's blood.

"Ahhh, it looks like that old fool knows that I'm coming. Hmmm, I wonder if it is you who told him."

Voldemort looks at Gilderoy with suspicion.

"That is correct, I'm the one who tells them that you are coming. I know about your plan before you know about them."

"Then I guess I need to teach you a lesson for daring to meddle in my affair."

Voldemort waves his hand, and suddenly a massive army of Giant Spider charges toward Jacob. The fight is on.

~A few seconds before the fight~

"What've I done?"

Albus looks at Gilderoy, who is waiting outside the barrier, and has a relieved expression when he touches the barrier. It is as if he already accepts his death and even welcomes it. But, to Albus, it was another failure in his record.

Another friend he let die just like how he let his sister die.

Albus widens his eyes when he hears that Voldemort will kill Jacob first before attacking the castle. His eyes get even larger when he sees many Acromantula charges at Jacob. However, instead of getting mauled by the giant spider, Jacob points his finger and says.

"Soaring Bolt"

After saying that, a ball of lightning appears in front of Jacob, and a second later, it releases another ball of lightning that attacks anyone within fifty meters radius. The lightning fried all the spiders getting closer to him and killing them.

Sadly, the lightning ball lasts only a few seconds and cannot kill more than three hundred Acromantula, but it was good enough to make the other spider hesitate to attack. Jacob looks at Voldemort and says.

"Is that all? I can keep going, you know?"

"Attack him! Kill him!"

Jacob smiles at the incoming Giant, the newly transformed werewolves, and the spider. It was a sight to behold. The sight of a man standing in front of an army of dark creatures without fear on his face but rather a small smile.

"Ah, what a beautiful night. A night filled with stars."

Jacob looks at the sky for a second before controlling the wind to make him float in the air. While floating in the air, he activates the Star Rune on his body. With the star in the sky, he did not chant to activate it, but with the reporter broadcasting him to the world, he needed to give them a show.

And what more to show than a chant of a powerful spell that nobody can replicate?

"I call the power of the stars as I'm the child of the night!"

"I'm the bearer of the Star call of your aid! The ruler of the Night!"

"O, Father! Let me borrow your authority!"

"Let my body become the catalyst for your might!"

"Let the world be the witness for your might! Let destruction be the gift for my enemies!"

"Twinkling Star!"

The dark sky then filled with light, and a second later, destruction soon followed.
