1 Poisoned(1)

Su Mingxia opened her eyes slowly. Sweat rolled down from her forehead to her chin, her body was hot as if she was in a boiling pot. Her entire body felt weak. Suddenly, felt a sharp pain on her wrist. She close her eyes tightly, reacting to the pain. She opened her eyes again and moved her head slightly. She saw a man and a woman standing beside her.

"What is it?....what is wrong with her?" Lin Yue, Su Mingxia's personal servant asked worriedly.

"I won't know until I run some tests... wait here" the man said as he left hurriedly. Su Mingxia closed her eyes. It felt as if the world was spinning.

Lin Yue sat beside her and placed a wet cloth on her forehead to calm her fever. Su Mingxia could feel the wet cloth on her forehead and trembled slightly. Some hours passed and Su Mingxia's fever worsened. Lin Yue became even more worried that she started crying and pacing round the room.

"I'm back" the man from earlier said as he held a bottle and brought it towards Su Mingxia.

"What took you so long?" Lin Yue asked angrily.

"Calm down.... I had to run some tests and find the right herbs....it is a very long process....here give this to her" the man said as he gave the bottle to Lin Yue. Lin Yue took the bottle and opened it. Immediately she opened it, Su Mingxia tightened her face. The smell was unpleasant. Though her eyes were closed, she could still perceive the awful smell and she quickly turned her head away from it.

Lin Yue turned her head back and forced the medicine into her mouth. It was very bitter.

It smelled awful. Su Mingxia didn't let it pass her throat, she still kept it in her mouth, trying to find a way to spit it out but immediately the medicine got into her mouth, Lin Yue used her hand to cover Su Mingxia's mouth tightly.

Su Mingxia had no choice but to swallow it. Once Lin Yue was sure that she swallowed it, she removed her hand from Su Mingxia's mouth and turned to the man.

"It's done"

"Good.... let her sleep....when she wakes up, give her food to eat...I'll come back tomorrow to check on her" the man said as he bid Lin Yue farewell and left.
