What the hell?!

The sudden death of Shen Yu was an inexplicably feels for Lie Yuan, but the unexpected appearance of Hee-Ryang scared the shit of him.

He was not mistaken, and would not mistake someone. There are many coincidences in the world, but the actual carbon copy of Kwon Hee-Ryang's face couldn't be called coincidence.

Receiving no movement from the opponent, Hee-Ryang coldly commanded again, "If you won't remove your mask, I'll kill you."

Lie Yuan slowly calmed down. His mind was clouded by several shocks and thoughts, however, he had strong mentality. The death of Shen Yu and the unusual appearance of Hee-Ryang could only shake him for a couple of minutes.

Besides, Hee-Ryang seems not to remember him, maybe it's just the same vessel? And he wasn't wearing Yeonwoo's body now. But nonetheless, his beauty would complicate his overall plans. He was planning to remain low-key and transparent, but it was difficult now.

Just as he was about to take off his mask, the ground suddenly trembled. Soon cracks on the soil began to erupt as if something would come out in a minute. This circumstances alerted the citizen and soon, many started to panic and ran towards the city gate. Lie Yuan's face brightened, and shortly he was already surrounded by hundred of people.

The guards were also alerted and tried to stop all the people from entering the base. The sound of alarm on the door turned red and quickly, alarm sounded in the area. This made the people panic more and ignored the warning of the militaries.

"Sir, this is getting out of hand." One of the military said.

Kwon Hee-Ryang turned his dark eyes and saw that the mask man had disappeared. The inexplicably feels on his heart vanished and was replaced by a fiery blaze.

"Close the main gate." He commanded in a cold voice.

The main base was divided into two factions. The outer and the main city. The base served as an area where anyone could continue living and escape from the clutches of those man eating monsters. However, this world still maintain the cycle of a life, where strong and wealthy were respected. The outer part was for the ordinary humans and hunters to lived for, and the main city could only be populated by the riches, the scientists, the government and the military personnel.

"Sir what about the outer city?" Another man asked.

Kwon Hee-Ryang stared at the waves of people passing by and responded calmly, "Dispose them, all of them."

"Yes sir." He made a call and soon the alarm sounded in the whole base.

"Attention residents. All individuals should immediately evacuate to their home. A person with a virus entered the base and was mix in the city. No one should go out at the moment."

Then gunshot sounded one by one. There is a lot of screaming, no one could distinguish whether it was a man or a woman. The mix of cries of agony and pain, the shattering of glasses and the blood scattered.

Men in military suit couldn't identify which one of them carried the virus but, nonetheless, they were trained by their hands and not the heart, killing was just an opportunity for them to vent their anger. They didn't exclude the innocent one and started the mass murder.

The outer city was big, but it was also populated. The moment newcomers forcibly entered the base, the residents were already alarm and went into hiding. It seems as if it was very common for them to encounter these things. The pitiful newcomers were forced to fight and escape.

But soon, the trembling ground erupt again. This time, it wasn't fickle and a brief moment. The grounds keep shaking and shaking until a giant hole appeared on the surface. The militaries stopped shooting, and the remaining people stopped running. The cracked made a giant hole in the ground, and after it was made, it stopped quaking.

"What on earth?"

Kwon Hee-Ryang narrowed his eyes. He signalled his team to stand by and position to whether an unknown thing will pop out at any time. Then a familiar, chilling roared of monster echoed underground.

"It's an earthworm!"

During the apocalypse, not only the man eating creature were created, there are also one's that mutated constantly; insects, animals, and plants. Their mutations increased the sizes, strength, and intelligence of the said creature, making it harder for the people to live in this era.

A reddish brown giant earthworm instantly appeared. Its mouth were wide opened and roaring widely. The sizes were indescribable as its half body were still buried on the ground. But the terrifying mouth with sharp teeth froze them on the spot. Its body stood in midair but soon dropped it on the ground.

The newcomers were scared, but luckily the military weren't. They started shooting and aiming for the specific weakness, making the earthworm roared and crawled.

An earthworm has a streamlined body with no antennae or arms or legs. They have no skeleton, but had countless muscles that surround each body's segment. The skin was hardened by the mutation and also the speed increased rapidly. It crawled and tried to escape the incoming bullets. Although it has a thick skin, the bullets used weren't ordinary either.

Due to the incident a while ago, the crowded outer city turned spacious. The stalls and the mini stores displayed were knocked over, making it easier for them to spot the giant earthworm.

But the earthworm was known for his ability to dig on the ground. Even if the ground was hard, it wasn't difficult for the earthworm to dig out. Yet it won't leave the preys laid in the area, the pitiful newcomers were forced to become a rat in the chase of a big earthworm. The unlucky one was eaten completely, and the unfortunate one was shot accidentally.

The earthworm eats and would leave the surface. It follows the movements above and would pop out to eat the prey. This made it harder for the military to shot it. The weakness was on the mouth, and it only opened when it would eat. So, the remaining newcomers were forced to become a bait.

Kwon Hee-Ryang remained a bystander on the side. Neither helping nor participating. His dark eyes traced the corpses scattered in the area and still couldn't manage to find the mask boy. He frowned and heard a call from behind.

"Sir, the earthworm was finally eliminated."

His attention were shifted away from his thoughts and stared at the giant earthworm. It was not moving and there is green blood on its skin. Its mouth was awfully destroyed and there are still human bodies on it.

"Clean up the mess." He ordered. He turned around and coldly added, "Find the mask man for me."

Lie Yuan couched down and stared at the young man in front of him. The young man was probably ten or eleven years old, scared but putting an arrogant looked on his face. Behind him was a child age between six or four.

After the earthworm appeared, Lie Yuan forcibly entered an old house nearby. It was locked, but Lie Yuan used methods to unlocked it. He was greeted by a sight of an angry young man pointing a knife to him.

"Who are you? Why are here?" Finally, the young man found a strength to ask this. He stared at Lie Yuan vigilantly and saw the unusual mask.

Bah, definitely a bad person.

Lie Yuan tried to soften his voice, "I'm not a bad person—" However, he paused when he saw men in military suit walking pass through the window.

The young man also looked out and smirked, "Sir! There is—"

Lie Yuan jumped and pinned the young man on the floor. He covered his mouth and glared at him disapprovingly. "Dare to say again, and I will kill you."

The young man wasn't threatened and tried to struggle, but then a sharp thing was pointed in his neck. He gasped and his eyes widened.

But the next second, his mind went dumb. He looked at the mask man and couldn't believe what he saw in his eyes.

I-It's beautiful!

Due to his constant struggle, the mask went to his side revealing his half side face. But it is enough for him to be fascinated. He blushed and erased the strangeness on his heart.

What if his beautiful? He was a bad person!

He attempted to make a sound but the knife almost pierced his skin. He paused.

"Move again or your head will no longer be connected from your neck." Lie Yuan threatened.

Then a deep voice sounded through the window.

"Come out."

It was Hee-Ryang's voice!

Lie Yuan and the young man were silent. The voice sounded again.

"Come out."

Lie Yuan gritted his teeth and didn't dare to move any single part of his body. Damn it.

"Sir, I seems to see him hiding in that house. On the left side." Another voice sounded.

"Are you sure?"

"Sort of."

However as the voice went farther a milky voice screamed.

"He's here!"

Lie Yuan looked around and saw the child who was staring at him angrily. Damn it. How can I forget the milk chicken?
