At first, Qiao Chen was protected by Yong An, but because of his feelings for Wen Yang, their plans will changed from time to time, making Qiao Chen angry and furious. He was tired of seducing the Emperor and gave many opportunities to Yong An only to be destroyed by his moonlight. Their affection caused the misfortune of their subordinates.

And in the end, the Emperor found out Qiao Chen's schemes. But Qiao Chen did not drag Prince Yong An down with him and was the only one executed.
