3 Do Not Sign Contracts When You're Drunk
"Wait, you're PAYING me to just convince my sister to play other routes?" Mo Aini was incredulous. "And 10,000 yuan!? Are you serious?"
"Serious as I'll ever be, Mr. Mo." Liu Sha straightened his tie. "The contract has all the details for the Cupid System offer. You may read it if you like."
Mo Aini took the contract and scan it skeptically, but it really was legit. This crazy otome company is offering 10k to these 'Cupids' per every route that they can convince their target customer to take. It was really too good to be true, but the paper seems really official and has many licenses and agreement gibberish on it. If it was a scam, they put so much effort into these contracts.
"All you have to do is sign the agreement, and you'll be officially joining the Cupid System." Liu Sha handed over the pen. "We will be giving you the total payment once you are available to receive it."
"Can I tell my sister about this?" Mo Aini said.
If he tells his sister they'll be getting big bucks just for playing a couple of routes, she'll play it even if she doesn't like the character.
"I'm afraid that defeats the purpose of the system, Mr. Mo." Liu Sha said. "Our goal is customer satisfaction above all else. That's not really playing if they're just tapping and skipping over dialogues for the sake of money. We'll be no different from those money-making apps that are so popular nowadays."
Mo Aini shrugged his shoulders. "Guess you guys are also smart. How do you make sure I don't tell my sister about the offer though?"
Liu Sha smiled conspicuously. "We have our ways."
Mo Aini raised an eyebrow, but he can buy it. Hell, they found him all the way here in a park where he was drinking alone. This company cannot be underestimated.
"Ok, say you do have and this is all legit. If I want to quit from this Cupid System thing, how do I do that? Do I just stop convincing my sister to play routes and you won't pay me anymore?"
"Yes, you can do that. But all your payments for the past routes you were successful in will be forfeit." Liu Sha said, raising his glasses with his middle finger like how anime guys do it when they're being slick.
Mo Aini got to hand it to them, this really is a nice way to make sure that the Cupids will continue the agreement longer.
"How many routes do I have to do for this to be finished and receive payment?"
"After finishing all the routes in the game, you will receive your due payment. So that means the number of routes in that game besides the customer's favored one. It's all in the contract." Liu Sha pointed.
"There's too many stuff in there for me to read everything in just a few seconds. I figured I could just ask you." Mo Aini snorted.
"I'm fine with answering as many questions as you like." Liu Sha patted his shoulder. "If this takes longer, we could grab some coffee if you want—"
"No, thank you. I'll sign it now." Mo Aini moved away and signed.
This Nobita looking guy, Liu Sha or something, would really use any tactics to convince him to sign faster!
Or was he really hitting on him? He did say that he thinks every straight guy is secretly bisexual....
He was busy thinking of these things that he didn't realize he already mindlessly signed his name. Liu Sha called out to him. "Mr. Mo? Can I have my pen back?"
"Ah, yeah." He snapped out of the is-he-or-is-he-not-asking-me-out mindset. "Here's the contract too. Is that it? Can I go home now?"
"Have you seen this kind of pen before?" Liu Sha suddenly asked him out of the blue.
"Yeah, it's the one with three types of ink, right?" Mo Aini was puzzled on why he's asking this. "There's black, blue and green. I remember having one of those back in high school."
"Correct. When I press this green button, it gives us green ink, doesn't it?" Liu Sha pressed the green button with a 'click'.
"Yes, so what are you going on about some pen—"
Liu Sha stabbed the pen right onto his neck!
He felt some warm liquid mix into his bloodstream, his mind becoming muddled. He went dizzier than he was when drunk and slowly lost consciousness. The last thing he can see was Liu Sha's greasy hair and stupid-looking face.
"Welcome to the Cupid System, Mo Aini. Enjoy your stay!"

"Come on, Ai! We'll be late for school!"
Mo Aini grumbled in his bed, the alarm ringing irritatingly loud. He tried to reach for whatever's causing that alarm, thinking: 'Who the hell is calling me 'love'* all of a sudden? I don't remember being in a relationship.'
He found an old-fashioned cartoonish alarm clock and slammed it to the wall. The stupid, noisy thing broke, going silent.
"Hey, that's my alarm clock!" The voice of an overly energetic man protested. "You gotta buy me a new one, ok?"
"I don't have any money...." He mumbled and slowly opened his eyes.
A handsome anime guy was staring at him!
"Yo, what the heck? Is this a dream?" He sat up immediately, looking at his surroundings. There was no denying it, he was in the 2D world. He looked at his hands and arms....
He was 2D too.

A robotic voice came at the back of his mind, along with a hologram screen. The handsome anime guy with red hair stopped along with everything in the world, like someone had just hit the pause button for the whole scene except for Mo Aini.

He is a man who likes one thing then moves on to the next, and spend his money on extravagant objects that he eventually throws away. He likes to blow smoke on people's faces, and if someone couldn't handle spicy food he will get bored of them. Though unexpectedly, he doesn't like black coffee because it's bitter and he always put at least four spoonful of sugar in his drinks.
His handsome face still makes him popular with the ladies despite his roguish behavior. However, he does not show interest in anyone except for himself, and believes he is higher than everyone else.
