20 Chapter 17

Zikr POV's

A few days later,

My mom is informing me that Dia and her family is coming to A country for a holiday on a weekend. She invited them for lunch On Sunday. First I was shocked, suddenly why her family would come In S country. I smiled and my mom and went to work.

I informed my secretary that I would not be working on Sunday and if there is any scheduled work on Sunday I want to schedule it on Saturday. My secretary agreed and started working on it. For the past few days, I have worked continuously so that I can be free on Sunday. I am exhausted.

On Sunday Morning,

After praying Fajr, I read the Quran for a bit. Currently, I was busy so I didn't have time to read so I thought to read it today. Reading the Quran gives me peace After that I had breakfast with my family. They told me that the driver will pick them and they would arrive around 11 30. I went back to my room and finished some work. I took a bath and dressed up wearing a black plaid shirt and loose white pant. I wore oil-based perfume.

A few hours later, I heard them arriving at the door. I heard them saying greetings to each other. I didn't want to be rude but I don't know if it is appropriate to go in front of them. So I waited till I hear no sound. I came down and saw my father standing. I went to my father and asked where they went. Father said Mom took them to a living room for some snacks.

After some time, Mom came back with Aunty Ayesha. Mom told the servants to serve some snacks and drinks in the living room. Mom said something to Dad.

Dad told me that He and Mom and Ayesha aunty have something important to discuss.

I was like okay and went back to the room.

half an hour later

A maid knocked on my door and informed me that Dad is calling me so I went downstairs.

Dad looks serious. and Mom looked quite troubled.

Conversation between Zikr and his parents.

Zikr:- Is everything okay?

Amara:- Ayesha told me Dia has some conditions before marrying.

Zikr:- What conditions?

Amara told the conditions

The two conditions that she proposed

1.If the partner abuses his spouse physically mentally and emotionally, the abusive partner and the spouse will be a divorce at that moment.

(If the couple has kids, the abusive has to provide child support for kids. The custody goes to the spouse who is abused. The abusive partner can meet his kids under certain conditions.)

2. If the partner cheats on his spouse. the partner and the spouse will be divorce at most in a month.

(If the couple has kids, the spouse who is more financially stable has to provide child support for kids. The custody goes to the spouse who is cheated on but can meet his kids whenever the partner wants.)

I was shocked. I thought about it. Why did she keep the conditions?

Zeeshan:- These conditions show the type of trauma she went through. She thought if she has these conditions it would prevent her from the abuse her parent through. May Allah bless her. Don't think these conditions are just for you. She is planning to give these conditions to whoever she is supposed to marry.

I was baffled. I went to deep thought. I said to my mom let me think about it and tell you later on.

I went back to the room. I was very confused. I don't understand why Dia tries to put the conditions which are so unusual and not significant.

Then after some time, we went to pray Zhuhr in the prayer room.

The male and female sections are divided by a curtain.

So Father and we all prayed In Jamad. Then we went to have lunch. I was absent-minded throughout the whole lunch. I can hear that Dia and her family was responding to my parent's questions. After that Dia and her family were escorted to another. An hour later, Asr azan came. So we prayed together in Jamad.

Did and her family left our villa shortly after praying.

I just went back to my room and did some work

A few hours later Maghrib azan came, I prayed and made Dua to Allah to clear up my confusion.

After that, I had dinner with my parents. They asked about my opinion so I told them to give me more time.

My parents said it's okay to take my time.

So an hour later Isha'a azan came so I went to pray Isha'a and did my dua and read some Quran.

Next Day,

After getting my work done, I messaged Dia.

I thought to ask to hear about the conditions and her opinion towards me.

Zikr:- Are you free? Can I call you now?

Did:- Yeah, Is everything okay?

Zikr:- Yeah everything is fine Alhamdullillah.

Zikr calls Dia

Zikr:- Assalam Walaikum, How are you?

Dia:- Everything is good Alhamdullillah. What about you how are you and your family?

Zikr:- Everyone is fine Alhamdullillah. I want to ask about your conditions that you have proposed. I understand But is it necessary?

Dia:- I think these conditions are important to me. As my mom told you and your family about what our family went through. And I apologize if I hurt you and your family. But for me, it is like a safety shield. I just need you to agree on the conditions. I'm not asking any other thing. And if you don't agree then we can call off the discussions we had between our families and deeply apologise again if I and my family hurt you and your family in any way. The reason I am being straightforward is that I don't want to waste time and cause inconvenience to anyone.

Zikr:- Okay, I understand your point of view. You don't need to say anything more. I realize what you're trying to explain.

Dia:- Do you have any more questions?

Anything that you want to know?

Zikr:- No I am fine. Thank you for answering the questions and clearing up my doubts.

Allah hafiz. Have a great day.

Dia:- Allah hafiz

After ending the call,

I was thinking hard and understood what she was trying to say.

I prayed Isha'a

After praying Isha'a, I also prayed Istikara and had a very good feeling.

And I went to my parents and told them I agree with the proposal and I have no problem with the conditions. My father asked me again if I was sure. I responded yes. I greeted them good night and then I went back to my bedroom to sleep.
