10 Chapter Ten

Alex's POV

He kissed me for like five seconds, it didn't last and I didn't want it to. "Let's stop the game." Alex said offended.

"I agree with Alex, I should get going now, my parents would be worried." I replied.

"I'll drive you." James suggested and I smiled.

"Okay."

Alex went upstairs and returned with my bag, he handed me my bag and climbed the stairs without saying a word, I frowned and entered James's car.

"You have a car?" I asked surprised.

"There's a lot of things you don't know about me Lisa." He answered with a smirk.

"I'll love to know everything."

"Believe me, you won't want to know yet, I'm happy Alex didn't fire you." He said as he started the car's engine and started to drive.

"You're cute." I complimented and he chuckled.

"Thanks Lisa, you're also beautiful, did you feel any connection or spark when Alex kissed you?" He asked.

"I actually don't know, it was so quick and I didn't feel any spark, he looked angry after the kiss and didn't want to talk with me."

"He's such a bastard, he didn't dare me to kiss you, he spoilt my plans yesterday with you." He raged angrily.

"What plans?" I asked and he went quiet immediately. "What plans? You didn't tell of any?" I asked.

"No, I actually wanted to surprise you yesterday night by preparing pancakes for you." He answered.

"Ohh, it didn't look like that." I replied and chuckled.

"So where's your house?" He asked.

"I actually don't know if I should go home yet, I'm so angry with my parents." I answered and he laughed.

"I remember when my dad was still alive, he would scold me and I'll run away from home for sometime, it's common with dads." He said and I let out a grin.

"That's true." I agreed.

"We should stop at this new eatery, I guess you must be hungry and they have the best meals in the world." He suggested and parked his car in front of a small eatery.

I came down from his car and he did the same, "Bills on me." He said and I chuckled.

"I guess so, I'm not even with cash but thanks anyway, you've saved me breakfast." I appreciated as we walked into the restaurant.

I sat at the corner of the door and he also did the same. "Let me go and give them what you'll eat, so what will you like to have?" He asked.

"Anything you take, I'll go with steak tatare." I answered and he smiled.

"Excellent choice, I'll eat the same thing you want to order." He said and went to meet the waitress.

I smiled at him and wondered how a man could be so caring, there was something awkward and maybe a little bit, absurd. No matter how hard he tried to please me, I didn't feel a piece of love for him, there was entirely no connection.

I lied to him, when Alex kissed me, I felt something, I felt desire, I knew I wanted him but no, he was a psycho and I'll be foolish to fall for him.

"So ta-da," James said and placed the tray on the table, I took my plates and smiled at him. "I love it."

"Actually, I prefer my meat cooked and not raw." I said and he frowned.

"Let me tell them to cook it then." He suggested.

"No, there's no need, I don't want to stress you and besides, I might end up liking this meal."

He chuckled.

"You should love me back." He said.

"You look more cute when you're quiet." I replied.

"Your mama so fat that she couldn't jump into conclusion."

I laughed loudly and nudged him with an elbow. "That was funny, where did you see that?" I asked.

"On Twitter." He answered and a lady walked up to us and looked at him.

"Who's this bitch?" She asked him and he seemed embarrassed.

I kept quiet waiting for him to reply. "Lillian, what are you doing here?" He asked embarrassed.

"No, you tell me what you're doing here with a prostitute." She insulted.

"Prostitute?" I asked and chuckled. "Of course not, I am just a friend and his colleague." I added.

"I didn't ask you." She insulted.

"Look Vanessa, huh her name's Lisa and she's a bitch, I mean a bad bitch, you should talk politely." James warned and I smiled.

"So this is what you do, is this why you broke up with me? After all that I've done for you, we were doing fine until you decided to break up with me."

"Look, I never loved you, all we had was a one night stand and it's over." I said.

"You almost raped ....."

"Keep quiet, you don't say what you don't know." He interrupted and I stood up.

"I think I'm done here." I said and walked out of the eatery.

Alex's POV

"What was the meaning of that?" I asked Oliver angrily as I walked to the parlor.

"It was a dare besides Lisa Lizbeth Montes liked it." He answered.

"How did you know her second name?" I asked.

"Ohh, I was wondering why she didn't recognize me, it's a secret." He answered.

"Tell me, do you know her before?" I asked.

"I don't kiss and tell, James tried to rape Lisa right?" He asked and I nodded. "That nigga is a Hoely MF." He added.

"I think I'm beginning to fall for Lisa."

"Then go for it." He suggested

"I'm not planning on doing that anytime soon, she's poor and I'm rich." I reminded and he hissed.

"Then don't fall for her, you are not even supposed to fall in love with her." Oliver said and I blinked.

"Why not, she's cute."

"Look, I fear James is in love with her also and I'll advice that you let James have her because you know what James is capable of doing."

"I also have you." I reminded.

"You don't own me, I think someone else does." He said and I laughed.

"I didn't say I own you, we're brothers, we should be close to each other and help each other."

"Not anymore, James is planning on buying me over to his side and using me against you, he's paid one million dollars already to the Ganglord."

I looked at him in shock.
