In the Shadow Arcane, there's a mandatory rule that the citizens of ARK need to obey, regardless of their social ranking.
However, to enroll, you need a parent or guardian, or else you will be registered as an orphan and will be treated like a fucking rat.
But as you all know, I'm basically parentless right now, and I didn't want to be treated like some kind of trash!!
