3 Jin's Mate

Mate! We have a mate!

Those were the words that Jin shouted inside Pyr's head for the last half an hour. When his team reached the docking area for sea freight, Jin, the beast inside him, began to chant the word mate.

Now that was something he was not expecting. Eastern dragons were rare, and having a mate was something each shifter wanted…but not him. The sudden appearance of this mate was not good.

He looked at the women who were currently screaming their heads in fright. Pyr couldn't blame them; he was a big man.

At six foot two, and with the morning light behind him, he was even more menacing. He could only imagine what they could see in their frightened state.

A badass biker.

People would stay clear of his path whenever he went. His well-developed muscles would make any man wary around him. And then there was his patch.

President.

The name RagTag was written on top of a dragon's head with yellow eyes. The animal looked like it was riding a flaming motorcycle, and below it was the word Motorcycle Club.

The name of the club?

RagTag Motorcycle Club.

So, here he was, standing in front of the door he destroyed. Pyr's shoulder-length hair was unbound. These frightened women would think they were the ones to buy them.

"Everyone, calm down!" He shouted, but they were too frightened to notice that he was not the bad guy. He was about to whistle when his gaze caught something at the far end of the cargo container.

Two pairs of eyes were calmly looking at him. A child with the same eyes as he looked at him with such a sorrowful expression, while the other pair of eyes were shooting daggers at him.

Ironically, the one who wanted to kill him was the 'mate' Jin was talking about.

Her red eyes glowed in the dark. There was something different about her. But Jin's constantly blasting his head that the red-eye woman was their woman was making him more growly.

"Shut the fuck up!" He loudly growled, causing the women to stop screaming in fear….only to start crying to spare their lives.

He raised both of his hands in exasperation, and turned his back to the door before he shouted, "GADSNAMIT, VEN! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU!?"

The man appeared beside Pyr after a few seconds. He was an inch shorter than Pyr with steel grey eyes that shone with mirth as he looked at him. "Something wrong, Prez?" He asked as he peeked at the cargo container he busted open.

Ven suppressed a laugh, Pyr hated women who cry and whine, and from the looks of these bunch, he would guess that he was having a very bad day. "What do you like me to do, Prez?"

"Round them up and call our contact. Interpol would be happy we have intercepted another shipment of women," he looked at the people inside, specifically, his mate.

She was still glaring at him, a low whistle beside him, causing him to let out a low growl. "Mine," was all he could say. It took him a few seconds to register what he said. He banged his head on the nearest wall several times. Ven's laugh made him stop, a good size dent was formed, and Pyr was not even apologetic for his action.

"Yours, Prez? Really? That red-eye spitfire is yours?" Ven asked. For the first time since they have known each other, there was laughter in the man's eyes. If seeing him in misery would make his Vice President happy, then so be it. "I'm so glad that her attention is not on me. From the way she is looking at you, I'm glad we are shifters."

Pyr nodded in agreement. He felt several of his crew nearby. Ven must have texted them about what should be done. He sighed, some of his men have blood on their bodies. Women and blood never mixed, there would be another round of screaming and sobbing, and his ears could not handle it.

Jin, on the other hand, was jumping with joy inside his head. He could feel his beast fawning over their mate. The fuck, Jin, can you like shut the fuck up?! His beast ignored him, but it did stop talking.

Pyr looked at his crew, assessing if anyone was hurt, he was not surprised if some of them would have gunshot wounds in some parts of their body.

However, since they were shifters, the bullet was pushed out, or they needed to operate on someone. Either way, the women's safety was far more important than some bullet holes on their bodies.

"Do we have transport ready?" He asked.

"I had to call some more transport, prez, and supplies. This is not the only cargo we rescued. Vice was found another one at the far end of the docking bay," Skye, one of his Road Captain said, Pyr could hear the anger from the wolf shifter's voice.

"Status?"

"They were kids, prez. Maybe teenagers. All boys, the older ones were protecting the younger kids, but damn," Pyr knew he was seething in frustration. Humans, he thought, would always look for an easy way to obtain money. Even at the expense of selling their kids.

"Round them up. See if any of these women had a child on the other cargo, if they do, make sure they are safe. Since Skye said some have already been protecting those kids, let them. Do not, in any circumstances separate them," Pyr stressed in the last sentence. This was not their first rodeo, but damn.

Ven looked in the direction of the docking entrance. "Transport is here, and so are the cops. Let's hope we don't have to deal with the press. Then again, given that this is the largest shipment we have intercepted..." he then glanced back at the shipment behind them. "Do I need to ask Priest to make sure your will is ready? Judging from the way she is looking at you, she had already killed you seven ways till Sunday."

His crew peered inside, curious as to what their vice president was talking about. "The woman with the child clinging on her leg," Ven dryly said.

Pyr groaned. His crew was the worst bunch of gossipers. They could smell gossip like a hyena smells food, but they were far worse.

He could feel their eyes were on him, rather than acknowledging them he ignored the curious stares and went inside the cargo container, Ven was right behind him.

Ven and at least three of his most 'charming' crew slowly made their way around. Coaxing the women to stand up, that they are here to help them.

Most were reluctant to listen, but experience taught them, that no matter how frightened they were when they knew they would be saved, instant relief would hit them.

Pyr, however, has one thing on his mind.

The woman stood up, even with her unkempt state, there was an air of royalty around her.

She was small, that he had to look down at her. Her red eyes were filled with animosity he could feel her irritation.

Her cheeks were round and soft, as he scanned her body from head to toe. She was on the plum side, her chest was bountiful. The flimsy dress they have given her did nothing to hide her curvy body.

Jin was going crazy with what their mate looked like. The way her red eyes glowed was a sign that she was their mate. He could sense her inner strength, her strong will to fight. And most of all, her gentle heart.

This was the mate they needed. The mate was worthy of a golden dragon's heart.

'She is ours,' Jin told Pyr as the man he shared his body with came closer to the person that holds the other half of their soul.

However, the human counterpart has a different perspective. He stopped a foot away from her and glared at the woman in question.

It was a battle of wills, and both of them ignored everything that was happening around them. It was the broken cry of a child that ended their standoff. His mate looked down at the child and stroked its hair.

"It's okay, Kayla. I'm here. You're going to be fine." Her voice even sounded sensual to his ears.

"Mama. Mama…"

Pyr's body became rigid and he growled low in his throat, which caused the child to cry again.

Something hit him on his face that covered his lie of vision, it caused him to curse out loud. "The fuck!"

"Hey, asshole! Stop growling like a bear, you're scaring Kayla. I don't know what the fuck you want, but I suggest you tell me before I skin you alive."

She was threatening the president of the only Shifter Motorcycle Club in the world. Yet in both Jin and Pyr's ears, it was more of an invitation.
