Contestants First Obstacle

Hello! Welcome to Puzzle #1! I am your host. Today we have ten contestants. The goal is to make it to the end of this obstacle course. Puzzle #1. The contestants here have to make it through without losing their badges. They have three badges. Who knows what might be trying to stop them on their way to the end. They win $10,000 when they go through the mystery door. Simple.

Contestant #1 Point of View

Before I joined I knew it was trouble. My friend always get me in trouble but I am good at solving puzzles. They are always finding weird things to do and now I am caught up in another one of them. This sounds like fun but we will see. They said they couldn't join with me because their ankle was still hurting from a sprain. Risk it on $10,000 they said? But they got me in to this mess. I don't know. I like puzzles and maybe I will win. We both are trying to do something more with our lives and this seems like one of those opportunities.

Contestant #3 Point of View

I was running too fast. I almost slipped and rounded a corner and climbed up a ladder that was hanging on a green wall. I saw my face on the big screen to my left and I was sweating and looked scared out my mind. I didn't know it would be like this. Like I knew I had to watch out but this was unexpected. This thing moves fast and I don't want to stop to let it get my badges in any way shape or form. I saw a glimpse of it and wasn't sure if it was alive or a robot. I hope they aren't sending savages in here to chase us. I don't want to be devoured alive! Now at the top of what turned out to be a big green block I ran as fast as I could. I heard scraping behind me. It's eyes were gleaming orange. Why did they have to have eyes and look so terrifying. I reached the edge of the block and looked down. There was a pool below and I just jumped.

Contestant #8 Point of View

So… I was in a room and was trying to ignore the big screen with me on it. The piece of paper I was reading was confusing. I couldn't go through the door without pressing the right combination buttons. There were four of them, different colors. The letters on the page were scattered. I formed some words out of them and was trying to see the connection. I paced around and saw some numbers on one of the walls. The room light got dimmer. I licked my lips and glanced around. A clock on the wall told the time. There were two clocks matter of fact. I didn't know what nonsense this was but I couldn't go back out the door I came from. A bell buzzed three times. I looked over at the buttons. The colors faded as well. I memorized the order just in case it faded away completely. I pressed one of the buttons. It glowed. I looked around and the floor slid open some. There was water in it and I rushed to see if anything was in it. I grabbed a bag with some rocks in it. One read 'Add the numbers, subtract the letters.' How do I subtract letters…

These people are crazy. I could never. I ate some more chips and was glad my friend told me about this. My monthly subscription to Reality Unknown was worth it. Yup. Mainstream streaming services are okay but this one shows things that are more my style. I would be on this show myself if I cared for puzzles but this was just the first episode. I have no idea what else to expect. That dude so funny I know he never ran so fast in his life! Ha! I still got to binge watch my favorite show later with my sis. I got up to see if my package was outside, I heard my doorbell ring.

Wow. I could not believe what happened. This new show is something else. They are not giving them enough time! How do they expect someone to swim through in ten seconds? They must not want no one to get that money. Couldn't be me...

Well, that's they fault. They knew what they were signing up for. I was about to change the channel until something caught my eye. Why did that robot look out of control? It's suppose to scare them but look like it's actually about to rip that person apart... Hold up... Where did they go? A commercial came on and my heart skipped around a little. Whoa. They just don't know when to stop...

Host Point of View

The big screen showed all the contestants. The host sipped on something and wondered if any will make it through the mystery door. They read directions on what they should do at this time now. They pressed some buttons on the control panel. If this show blows up, great. They didn't care too much for going through obstacles but they like being on camera talking. This show isn't too bad. Almost can't stand watching it but the contestants got some guts. The host stood back up and faced the camera. "Contestant #2, #4, and #7 are out." They smiled and lowered their eyes. "The other contestants have 20 minutes remaining to find their way out the mystery door to win $10,000. Grab a friend and enjoy these next few minutes and see if YOU can solve these puzzles with the contestants as they are being chased and befuddled getting through this obstacle course." Some music played and echoed across the stadium. The host turned around sipped on their drink.
