25 Rose & Serena(2)

Rose needed to get out of there to save herself from this sacrifice. The deadline for submission of the document has also arrived close. She has never wished for power more than today.

She has never despised being so weak. She was the best participant in the examination at St. Jones academy. She received an invitation from one of the elite academies, yet here she was, just a chess piece in someone else's politics.

Up until recently, she always dreamed of having a complete family. Yet, her feelings toward her father's family have become resentful as well as angry.

She wasn't even allowed to get out of the room. She was living the life of a hostage. No one will contact her. There were times when they forgot to feed her or chose not to.

While Rose was locked, Serena found a piece of disturbing news. John had many flings in the past which resulted in children. What was disturbing was the fact that Churchills killed the mother and the child if they came to Churchill estates for their rights. She has never felt this much disgusted. When she confronted him about this, he laughed in response.

"Oh, you finally found it. But, it doesn't matter now. Your daughter is gonna marry a degenerate from Olivers. I, as her father, will get all the glory and the things I want due to her. And, you can do nothing to stop it, " he said with a smug face.

She responded angrily, "I won't let you or anybody use my daughter for their gains."

She then tried to force her way out. He stood up to stop her from leaving the room. But, she slapped him, ending in a broken tooth. His face changed due to the pain and humiliation of getting hit by a woman.

He called for the guards when he couldn't stop her from leaving. The guards arrived and successfully stopped her from moving even an inch.

The guards were laughing inside but didn't dare speak anything about his face. His face turned ruthless seeing her, successfully stopped. He couldn't stop himself from hitting her when he saw an expression of looking down in her eyes. He punched her guts. She didn't make any noise. The feeling of looking down still didn't go away. He hit her with a barrage of punches only to stop when the guards stopped him forcefully.

The situation of Serena became critical due to the barrage of punches. Blood was coming out of her mouth, and below the chest area was all bloody. Still, she didn't make a sound.

She was cursing herself in her mind, "Your daughter is in this situation because of you. If you wouldn't have been this weak, no one would have dared to do this with your daughter. It's all because of you. You don't deserve to live, you're a weakling who can't do shit to stop your daughter from sacrificing." The voice of suicide started getting more substantial in her mind. But, every bad thought went away when suddenly the image of Rose, smiling for the first time appeared in her mind.

From that day on, her life became torture. She will try different ways every day to meet Rose but, she will fail every time, and as a consequence, she'll get beaten by John. It became a daily thing for her. But, instead of giving up, her will to meet her daughter was getting stronger.

As days passed and the deadline approached, the urgency for Rose was increasing. The same was the case for Churchills. They started threatening her. The pressure on her was rising. As long as she wanted to become a student at Takshila, she must leave the estate and send her documents to the academy. After deciding for someday, she finally called John.

"I'm...I'm ready to marry whomever you want, but, I have three conditions. Only if you accept those, I'll marry the guy otherwise, I'll kill myself," She said and sighed.

"Whatever you want, my daughter. The clan will accept your conditions. Now, tell me, what are your conditions?" He responded jubilantly.

It didn't matter how he reacted as her anger had turned into hatred for everyone in the Churchill family.

"The first condition is, I want to see my mother,"

"The second condition is, I want to join Takshila academy,"

"The third condito-"

"No, I can't let you see your mother. And, the academy is impossible," Before she could present her conditions, her father cut her off. In his sane mind, he will never let her see Serena.

"DID I TELL YOU TO CUT ME OFF?" She yelled at him. He was taken aback by her yelling.

For many days, she was holding her emotions inside. But, she finally couldn't contain emotions inside When John refused to let her meet her mother.

"My third condition is, I want the meditation art the Olivers gave as dowry,"

"It's not up to you whether to accept the conditions or not. If you don't-"

She was interrupted by a call she suddenly received. It was Dev who called her.

"Hello, How are you?" He asked from the other side.

She then talked with him for a few minutes while John, with a pitiful face, stood on the other side without daring to say a word. Inside, he was humiliated and beat his daughter. But, if he dared to do this, his clansmen wouldn't let him off.

After cutting the call, she looked at John. And, a smile appeared on her face. That smile sent chills down his spine. Suddenly, a bad feeling arose inside his mind.

"You see, the person I just talked to lived with us for about a year. We're just like a family. Dev promised us, just before leaving, he would be there for us, whenever we'll face a problem. As you already know, he regularly contacts us. Let me ask you a single question, what would happen if I and mum don't answer his calls for months, and, I haven't joined Takshila academy, " She asked him smilingly.

Dev was the only problem Churchills had when it came to Rose and Serena. They couldn't find him. He was the only reason they didn't dare to take away Rose's and Serena's denwu. Now, she's blackmailing them using his name.

"Let me answer my question. He'll contact Takshila academy about me. They'll then start inquiring about me. And, when they find out the reason I didn't join them. I don't have to tell you what they would do with you and your clan for ruining their possible student's life," She responded.

"So, you don't have a choice. You'll accept my conditions and I'll marry whomever you want me to," She responded with a wide smile on her face.

With a pitiful look, John left the room. His face turned ruthless after coming out of the room. He decided to vent his anger first and then tell the clan head about her condition.

He vented his anger on Serena by doing unspeakable things. When he left her room, she was lying down on her bed with blood leaking out. Yet, the look on her face has never been more determined than today.

He then told the clan head about Rose's condition. Clan's head fell in a dilemma listening to her conditions. The Clan head talked with the Clan elders for hours and, they finally made a decision.
