16 Decision

It was evening when Dev got there. The view of the city looked breathtaking. The city was filled with the scent of flowers & earth. The city was full of greenery and water.

Dev reached the Inn. He knocked on Rose's door. She looked sleepy when she opened the door.

He told her to get ready, and then he went toward Serena's room and did the same thing.

Rose and Serena both were confused to see Dev in such a mood. In any way, he didn't look like he had failed the exams.

He just smiled seeing their confusion, they celebrated that whole night by playing games and having different kinds of vegetarian cuisines. He was about 70 years old, yet he didn't act like one.

They left the next day. It took three days for them to return to their house.

Now, Dev needs to think about his plans, he has failed the tests, so he has to find Meditation Art in other ways.

He can buy Meditation Art in the Black market. But if he chooses this option he has to leave the Elf's settlements, as Elves hate Black Markets due to slaves. The main problem he had was money. He didn't have any money to buy Meditation Arts. Even Rose and Serena couldn't help him with this.

He decided to first leave and then think about the issue of money. He should just take one step at a time.

Now, he needs a safety guarantee. He can safely Pass the forests and reach other cities if he doesn't meet any Level 3 or an exceptional Level 2 being in his way. He has complete control over his Prana because of his physique. Only those beings who can sense Prana in the atmosphere can sense him. It's a Known Fact that only from Level 3, beings could use Prana externally and have control over it.

He also doesn't have any idea about the demographics of Nehan. He has only heard about Nehan and its species from Rose and Serena. Hearing from someone and Seeing it yourself is different. A Frog will always live in its well unless they see the world from their own eyes.

The only thing he was more knowledgeable in than elves was technology, but Dev has heard that Elves hate technology as development always comes from Nature's destruction. Dwarves were a very technically advanced civilization on this planet. Dev was also interested in Dwarves and wanted to see their technologies himself. Even a basic communication Device made by them was so complicated and yet so developed. He decided Dwarves city as the next destination in his journey.

10 days have passed since he failed the examination.

Dev was meditating in Rose's house When he suddenly felt a tinge of sensation in his body, he suddenly got the feeling that his body is getting stronger.

When he found out about the source of the sensation, he was stunned because he noticed that his body was slightly loose, and his bones got a little bit strong. He knew he had a breakthrough because of the increase he felt in Prana. He couldn't be a hundred percent sure so he opened his status window:

Suddenly a black screen with white fonts appeared in front of him:

Skills: None.

He noticed the increase in his level as well as his every attribute. He was now an intermediate Level 0. His face didn't experience any change even after seeing the increase.

His Prana has increased to 1. If anybody finds out that Dev's Prana is 1 while not even reaching the limit of Level 0, they'll be shocked and do anything to Invite him into their circle.

It was all due to his physique, atmospheric energy loved him. This also resulted in his energy capacity being greater than others.

Dev still hasn't found a way to make enough money. He decided to leave from here first, as he wouldn't be getting any development from just sitting while doing nothing in the elf's continent.

He decided to learn the basics of the Dwarvish language. He wouldn't be that lucky to meet people like Rose every time. He went up to Serena and asked her to help him.

Serena was resting in her room when she heard a knock on the door. She stood up and opened the door. She saw Dev standing at the door. She asked him to come in.

"What happened?" asked confusingly Serena.

Dev answered confidently, "I have decided to leave."

"What!"

Before He could continue, Serena shockingly spoke in a loud voice. Rose was sleeping, but she got awakened by her mother's loud voice.

"Why are you leaving? Did something happen or did Rose say something to you?" asked Serena confusingly.

"You are leaving, but why?" asked Rose before he could answer Serena.

He was stunned by the question, he turned around and saw Rose standing at the door.

"Nothing happened Serena, It's just that I failed the entrance, I can't just sit around and wait for 3 years for another exam. So, I've decided to leave," answered Dev while looking at Serena and Rose respectively.

"Do you even know how big Nehan is? Where would you be going after leaving here?" asked Serena.

What does it matter, how big Nehan is? What matters is that I can't just sit around."

"I'll be going to where the Dwarves live. You've told me that they are one of the races who don't have prejudices against other races," answered Dev Confidently.

Serena knew what he was going to do was right for him, so she didn't try to stop or discourage him. She decided to give him her full support. She smiled and asked him, "Well, If you've decided and you're confident about your decision. Who are we to stop you? So what help do you need from me?"

"But…." Rose wanted to stop him, but her words got stuck in her throat due to the glare from Serena.

Dev smiled after seeing Rose's response, he went up to her, patted her shoulder, and said, "Why are you worrying for me? You should worry for yourself. What will happen when I beat you next time we meet even though you will join an academy?"

After hearing him, she scoffed, " Oh really, I'll show you tomorrow the future picture, when I fight you with my full power?"

"That's cheating, you can't do this," said Dev shaking his head. He was truly scared, so he moved away from her.

After seeing him moving away from her, she grinned and said, "Oh we'll see it tomorrow."

That grin sent chills to him. Serena coughed to break the tension. With a smile on her face, she said, "Can't you see the time, is it time for such silly fights. Go and sleep. We'll talk about your journey tomorrow."

Dev and Rose both didn't dare to refuse and went straight away to their respective places. Rose went to her room and Dev went to the living room.

The next day, Rose did what she said. Dev's whole body was aching due to the beating he suffered. Whenever he saw her, she would grin at him. He just glared at her, he couldn't do anything except that.

Serena came home from work in the evening. They had their dinner.

After dinner,

"So it's been a day since you made your decision. Are you still sure and confident about your decision?" asked Serena. Rose also looked at Dev waiting for his answer.

Dev smiled and answered, "I'm hundred percent confident about my decision. I need to take my first baby steps toward my journey."

A disappointed look appeared on Rose's face, as she had already started treating Dev as a part of her family.

"If you're still confident, then I don't have a problem," said Serena.

She continued, "Do you need my help with anything? I know we are poor, and can't help you with your journey as even if I sell this house, I still wouldn't be able to afford a City teleporter."

When she talked about the financial issue, her face became sad. She wanted to help him so much but she couldn't.

Dev stood up from his chair, went up to her, held her hands, and said, "You don't have to be sad. No matter how big I may become, I still wouldn't be able to pay for what you did for me. I'm grateful that I fell near your house. You are the second person whom I respect after my family."

"You don't have to make me so emotional. Now, tell me can I help you with anything?" said Serena in almost a weeping voice.

With a sad yet determined expression on his face, he said, "There is one thing, I need your help with."
