A Puppeteer's Beginning

"My Fucking Head!" It was three in the morning, and I was trying to watch some one punch man, but noooo, a headache decided to destroy any chance of concentration on the show. "I'm gonna kill whatever god controls people's headaches" I muttered to myself.

[Ding! System Installation 25%...50%...75%...100% Complete. Merging with Host... Complete! Host is now permanently bonded to system]

A strange voice rang out in my head. I've had a few sips of a beer can today, but that was it! "What's with that voice?" I'm glad I live alone, or I'd probably be in asylum by now... Anyway! That voice is more important.

[Beginner pack x1 Received. Open?]

Is this one of those systems from those web novels? Sweet! I mentally replied yes, and another notification popped up.

[Ding! Beginner Pack Opened! Received: Sculpting Skill Manual x1]

[Ding! Received Item: Enchantment/Infusion Skill Manual x1]

I looked over the rewards. They seemed basic, but also incredibly useful. I then wondered, what about my stats? "Stats!" I mentally called out

I quickly pressed the learn option for the skill books. I felt knowledge rush into my brain, and it was very strange. It was like taking a class, and memorizing everything perfectly instantly. I then saw the change body option. This intrigued me. "System, What does this do?" I asked.

[Allows storage of host's true body, and the use of another body. The body can be anything. Host will gain skills and stats for that body while in it. It is also possible, through the system, to obtain bloodlines for permanent bodies that are able to be transformed into.]

I decided to not focus on it for now, and instead focus on my skills. I had a lot of Play-Doh, that I keep for my little cousins that used to come over. I picked up the 5-gallon bucket it was contained in. There was a lot of Play-Doh. I dumped it all out into a nice solid bucket-shaped mound on the extra desk in my room. I sat down next to the mound and activated the skill. My hands started moving, almost on their own, as the Play-Doh begins to take the shape of a horribly deformed face in front of me. I constantly sculpted and then mushed the Play-Doh back down to be reused again over an over. After about ten minutes of this, I got a notification.

{Sculpting Skill Level up]

Reinvigorated by progress, I kept up the process for about three hours, until I heard a very pleasing notification.

[Sculpting Skill Level Max. Max Skill level package received. Miracle Sculpting Skill derived from Sculpting]

I almost shouted with excitement. I opened the Max Skill level package.

[Item received: 10 Cubic Feet of Earth Spirit Clay]

I was super excited. I started back on the Play-Doh, and attempted to sculpt a small wolf. After a few minutes of sculpting, I had a clay wolf in my hands that was way too realistic. I looked at it, and saw something that astounded me.

How was this possible?! i created a creature with clay? It completely obeyed me, too. Almost like a puppet. I immediately turned to my inventory, and brought out the ten square feet of earth spirit clay, then got to work.

An hour later, I had a clay body that was a bit taller than me, and much handsomer. I also added a bit extra down there too. I made a second clay wolf at it's side, but it was much bigger, about 3/4 the size of a normal wolf. I closed my eyes and prepared for body switching to the clay human.

Skills-Malleable Body]

[Congratulations for first rare-ranked created artifact. Reward-Artifact's Skill-Malleable Body]

The wolf had the almost the same stats, with one less number in each. I quickly opened my eyes and confirmed my belief. I was in the Clay Human body, and it felt completely normal. I could feel that this body was malleable, and I could change it at will. Everything worked like normal. The body was also held together by a strange force. I decided to get comfortable in this body through sleep, and lay on my bed, unaware of the adventures before me.
