Valentines

We were in detention and somehow Julia ended up here with us. Something about punching Mr. Roberson, not the best choice. I believe she has detention for at least the rest of the year if she's that lucky she could get off for good behavior. Now we had nothing to do and the teacher that was supposed to be watching us was knocked out cold, sleeping. Alisha may or may not have drugged her coffee. I stood dangling from the window as we climbed down from the classroom we were in. It wasn't so far from the ground so it was safe enough for Alisha to climb out and not get hurt. We walked to the town because it wasn't far. It was quite what I was expecting. I'd been in the town before but this was different. I would never have guessed humans celebrated love. I guess I'd never paid much attention to things around me and no one ever showed interest in me for me to know about valentine's day. Julia was looking at the teddy bears and chocolate like she wanted each and every new type and brand. she saw not sure what she wanted. Blair on the other hand had a basket filled with sweets and toys. Alisha was looking for something in particular for Jacob.

"Excuse me do you have Oreos in the twenty-four packs?" She asked a store clerk. My ears perked up at the word Oreos. I absolutely love Oreos. I wasn't aware there was a twenty-four pack. I would just buy the four or eight pack whenever I could. I was overjoyed to hear that they had two packs left. We both dashed into the store and as me hand landed on the Oreos another landed at the same time.

"Um excuse me but I had it first," I said turning to be met with a handsome face.

"Last time I checked my hand touched it first." He replied yanking the snack from my grip. I could smell the rogue on him and I knew he could smell me too.

"You could just let go not as if you're going to win against me and my strength." I said to him smirking as I grabbed the package once more.

"Oh please she-wolf I'm going to be much stronger," he says looking confident wearing his own. This made me smile even more knowing I'd have the pleasure of wiping it off his face. It seems he was never beaten by a girl. Our game of tug-a-war began and I played it safe taking note of his strength. He was holding back and that was his mistake. I began to use my full strength. He look so surprised when the Oreos were no longer in his grasp.

"Never underestimate a girl," I said walking away with a big smile on my face. I cashed it and when I was on my way out I threw one pack at him with a smile and went to meet girls who were also smiling proudly at me.

"Here." Blair said throwing a teddy bear towards me to which I caught smiling even more. I guess it was her way of rewarding me for winning against the guy.

"Let's get back before Mrs. Ray wakes up." Julia says and we made our way back.

"Welcome back girls oh and happy valentines." Mrs. Ray says handing each of us except Julia detention slips. It was four weeks worth of detention. Happy valentines indeed.
