Lunch

I stepped into the cafeteria after getting a wift of the smell of meat. It was my lunch break and after break I'd have gym class. My morning was spent in biology and English class. And for once i could say school was interesting. In biology not only did we do plants and humans we did wolves. It felt good to learn a topic I related with. What I found most interesting was that white wolves are rear and very powerful. I felt super special when I heard that being a white wolf and all.

I walked into the line, grabbed my tray and stood. When I finally saw the selection of food my eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. There was steak, hot dogs, chicken, ham just anything meat you could think of with very little vegetables and fruits. I would never see this kind off buffet. The rumors I hear in that the hunting classes bring the food and the chefs cook it.

I took one of each meat which resulted in my tray being filled to the brim but it wasn't something uncommon when I looked around. I also knew I'd need the strength for gym. I took up a big water bottle and found an empty bench and sat on it.

"So you're the new girl." A cherry blonde said as she placed her tray down and sat down with three other girls. And here I thought I'd be my alone antisocial self. "I caught your scent earlier at the pack house and now I'm here to welcome you to our school." She sits putting her hand out for me to shake telling me her name was Blair. I shook her hand praying to the moon goddess that thus was all she wanted to do.

" I saw you with the alpha this morning what's up with that?." She asked in a tone that was way to nice for my liking.

"He brought me here." I said keeping my replies short. Did i mention i want them to go away.

"Oh well I want you to stay away from him or I'll rip you head off." she said as her tone changed to a deadly one and I stared at her like she was crazy. I had to calm my wolf before I growled at her.

"Excuse me?" I asked making sure the fur in my ears wasn't blocking my hearing

"Oh it's just that he's mine and i wouldn't to have to fought you or anyone for my man but if you need anything don't be afraid to let me or my girls know." She said tone changing again. I almost laughed. Not because she called Damien MY mate, her man but because of how fast she went from sweet to hostile then back to sweet in less than five minutes. I think she's bipolar or something. I watched as they walked away only thankful they were finally gone so I could dig into my lunch.

That's when another tray hit the table and this time I roll my eyes. I think the point of someone sitting alone is because they want to be alone not because they have no friends. I mean that too but still. I picked up Julia's scent and looked up at her.

"Can I sit here Luna?" she asked already taking a seat. I smiled at her and nodded. If she was going to sit anyway why ask? I wandered to myself and my wolf shrugged her shoulders.

" I thought you hated me." I said to her watching as she devoured a chicken leg. My it rest I peace I laughed to myself.

" I thought you were an outsider rogue that somehow managed to sneak past our guards." She replied wiping her mouth with tissue.

" Trust me I didn't really want to be here and could you not call me Luna nobody seems to know who I am and I'd like to keep it that way ." I say and she nods her head.

" So what did Blair want?" Julia asked cutting a piece of steak.

I told her and she let out a growl.

"That bitch has been after the alpha for years now. I'm surprised that you as his mate didn't her rip head off." She said ripping the steak violently.

"She is just some desperate whore." I said. Although I said that the thought of her to my human self didn't seem that bad after all I wasn't going to be here much longer but my wolf on the other hand wanted her dead.

"I respect you even more." She said and we both laughed. For the remained of the lunch period we talked and got to k ow each other and I could say I made a new friend. Well my first friend other that the bears back home.

The bell finally rang. This bell was at a frequency that didn't hurt my eyes unlike at the human school.

I grabbed my bag and was about to head to the changing room for gym when Julia stopped me slinging her own bag around her shoulder.

" What class do you have now?" she asked and I told her gym. She got excited and told me she had advanced gym too so we decided to walk together. I found out on the way that she had almost all the same classes as I did except advanced hunting and prey technology. She was impressed by how many advanced classes u was in

It was nice to have a friend that was a she-wolf like me I thought to my self. I entered the locker room and changed not prepared for what my next class would be like.
